I had no idea! I am reading this- and I’m planning on DHS on Wednesday and I’m really surprised.

It’s an impromptu trip, but I just found out that NPH is the narrator at CP. MK is having its only non-party night of the week with EMH until midnight, and now GE is closing at 4 PM? I think I’m in trouble, crowds-wise!

Originally I thought I’d go to Epcot, and then over to MK, with AK the next AM. I changed my FP to DHS for Wednesday, to avoid mobs of people, but it sounds like it’s not going to be any better. So much for seeing GE before ROTR opens. Darn.

Is Galaxy Edge scheduled to close at 4pm or 5pm on 12/4? We have an ADR for Oga’s at 4pm on 12/4. I had previously heard it was closing at 5. They didn’t call and move us back in September when they were moving all the nighttime reservations and it’s still showing in MDE. Maybe they’ll let us go have our drinks and then escort us out of the land?!

There are a few websites reporting a 4pm close. I hope it is 5pm otherwise we won’t make it from the airport Wednesday evening.

Everything inside the land will close at 4pm to allow guests that are eating or on mfsr to exit. But you cannot enter anywhere after 4pm

I'm probably going to look at the wait times when I get off work both Thurs and Fri. But i'm fully expecting a ridiculous time. If it's less than 3 hrs I may end up driving over and trying it

Depending on how late the media event goes I am still planning on rope dropping on opening day. Anyone going look for a short hispanic with glasses, with a black first order jacket

I think opening day should be fun, even with the long wait as everyone there will be super excited .... now if there are mechanical issues and it is down more than up, that will change things - but assuming reasonable operations, yeah, just go in and enjoy the madness and a once in a lifetime experience - you are experiencing with a ton of other similarly minded people!

We are still planning to be there on Thursday morning. Not sure what time yet in the morning. We will have to Uber so I think we might ride over to the Boardwalk area about 4 and walk over from there. I'm worried we might not be able to be dropped off at DHS that early.

I'm asking tomorrow at the media event at what time the parking lot will open on the 5th so hopefully that would be helpful

This is a stupid question, but what is the bathroom situation for this type of grand opening? Does anyone know if there will be one at the front entrance we could use along the way?

There is a bathroom outside the gates near the Skyliner. Then there are also bathrooms once inside the park all over.

there are 2 restrooms buildings outside of the park, by the skyliner station and next to the outdoor guest service window
Once inside, there is one to the right after you enter, one next to the old Sounds Dangerous building, brand new one by the DVC kiosk/Tapline on Grand Av. and one next to Muppetvision 3D

What about lockers? We will be bundled up, and it is supposed to get up to 70 degrees. Will be looking to shed leggings and sweatshirts! (and gloves, scarves, etc.)

the lockers are at the front of the park, after you enter. If the land is closed for capacity and you are inside the land I recommend just holding your sweatshirts or asking for a bag to put them inside

Same here, I had to plan for it when I found out they were opening on the 5th and I was going to be down there. Sadly, 5 am is the earliest I'll make it as I have a late night at MK on the 4th and I'm too old to stay up all night, LOL!
