Just back from a short stay at Vero Beach in a GVIR from 3/18- 3/21. We flew into MLB Melbourne International Airport Monday morning, grabbed the luggage and rental car and headed up to Viera to see the Nationals vs. Tigers at Space Coast Stadium. After the game we headed to the resort, checked in and went to Shutters for dinner. On Monday nights they do BBQ buffet in the main restaurant and do regular dinner in Sonya's space. After dinner we took a nice walk on the beach.

More to come, I hope. Resort photos? (I do also love baseball). Looking forward to my first Vero visit in about a month.

Tuesday morning it was overcast so we decided to head up to EPCOT for the Flower and Garden Festival. My wife has gone during F&G a few times but it was my first time. I really enjoyed the topiarys.

I liked the Capt Hook and alligator topiarys, but I missed the Peter Pan one, it is on top of one of the buildings in the UK so make sure you look up.

We walked over to the ESPN Club for lunch and my wife won a pin in their trivia contest. We then walked to Hollywood Studios to ride Toy Story Mania and The Great Movie Ride and the walked back over to EPCOT for our Soarin fast pass time and the out to car for our ride back to Vero. It was a beautiful 86 degrees when we got to the car.

We went to dinner at Shutters and then for a nice walk on the beach. Found a nice spot to get a picture of the sunset from the balcony of the laundry room on the 4th floor of the Inn.

After watching the sunrise and taking a walk on the beach, we headed up to the World, with a stop at SSR to sign some paper work for a add on and then we went to the WWOS complex to watch the Brave's take on the Pirate's.

Your photos are terrific. We hit Space Coast Stadium two years ago, and saw the Nationals and the Tigers too. I'm not sure that I'd be up for the back and forth from Vero to Disney, though.

We're looking to catch some spring training games next March. Did you buy your Wide World of Sports tickets in advance?
