I am nearly finished my Florida album, I have about 6 more pages to do, and then the title page and the final page (that will have to be it, because I've run out of page protectors, and the album is bursting at the seams)

I could really use some inspiration for the title page, we were in Florida for 2 weeks and did Universal, Kennedy, Cypress Gardens, Seaworld as well as Disney, so it isn't just a disney vacation.

This is the photo I want to use.

This was taken at Epcot, on Mother's Day

For the final page, I either have a photo of Katie asleep in her buggy, which is quite cute, (but I haven't scanned it yet), or I have this one of the 3 of us

which looks like it was taken late at night, but was actually about 8am one very bright morning outside Animal Kingdom - not sure what happened with the lighting. (actually, it's not quite so dark in reality, although it is dark)

Any ideas for titles etc? I've been putting off doing these pages because I am just out of inspiration.

Hmm, I can't see them now - I could see them before. Wonder if it's a fotango thing?

Ok - I think I fixed it, obviously the www.fotango.com is not really on the pictures.

Bev,

I don't have a specific idea for using your suggested picture but let me tell you what my opening page of my cruise album is and maybe you can get an idea of your own from that.

I found a picture that looked like an old photo of Tinkerbell flying and a bottle floating in the sea. I wrote something like. When I arrived home from my cruise I found a bottle that appeared to be filled with magical dust. When I opened it out came wonderful memories. The following pages are a result of those memories.

Bev-

How exciting you are almost done with your album! The opening page in our album has a paper pieced Tigger with our Family Name and then the words to the "Scrapbook Song" from the "Tigger Movie" The last page in our Disney album has a picture of my daughter sound asleep while riding on her grandfather's shoulders in the parking lot the very last night we were at WDW...I did it on a black page, used silver letters and said "When You Wish Upon A Star You're Dreams Come True" as the title with silver stars all around. Below it says "Our last night in the World" I get a lot of my inspirations for titles, layouts and such from Disney songs and sayings.

Can't wait to see your album online!

Happy Scrappin,

I like the pictures you chose for your first and last pages. I always like to start my albums with a page that sort of shows what the whole trip was about. For example you could just put Orlando January 2001 (or whenever you went...obviously) and then put the picture in the middle. I also like to include a little piece from everywhere I went on the first page. Like when we go to Anaheim for a week and visit Universal, Knotts and DL I'll put something that makes me think of each park we went to. Sometimes I even cut out the parks logo and put it on the front page. I kind of think of a scrapbook like an essay. Remember in school how teachers always told you that in the first paragraph you tell the reader what your going to tell them in the essay, in the middle paragraphs you tell them and in the last paragraph you sum in all up for the reader. Same thing with a scrapbook, the opening page is a preview to your vacation, the middle is your vacation and the last page sums it all up.
I think it would be REALLY cute to have a picture of your daughter asleep in the stroller on the last page....theme park vacations can be exhausting!! Congrats on being almost done....I've got scrapbooks waiting to happen piling up. I guess I better stop going on vacation until I can catch up (right).
Good luck on finishing your book!

I did a page titled Disney Dreams that has cutouts of my two children "dreaming" about all the WDW parks. I cut out a photo of the two of them in front of each park's focal point (Cinderella's castle, G.'s Chinese Theater, Spaceship Earth, Tree of Life) in a cloud shape and had little cartoon-like dream cirlces leading to the clouds. It turned out really cute.

A few years ago my DH started a tradition. When we leave the world the last night of our trip, we always have our hands stamped. He says if we don't get the stamps we can't get back in (next time) because we are always coming back. I'm thinking of imortalizing that tradition at the end of this album, but I haven't figured out how to do it yet. Wish I had thought to get a photo of our hands or getting them stamped. Maybe I need to save that page for the next trip! :)
