Something I am wondering about California Grill ADR's

I already know that when making an ADR for the California Grill by phone or online you need to give a credit number because of how popular it is. However let's say while at WDW you get the lobby Concierge to make you an ADR while your down there, will they also ask for a credit card number?

I'm pretty sure they will ask for a credit card to hold the reservation, regardless if you call or use the front desk concierge.
