Hi all,
I have travel funds with Southwest for $340 for a flight I recently had to cancel. The expiration to use the funds is Feb 10 and I did not plan on flying again until Feb. 15. I sent Southwest an email just for kicks begging to have them extend the expiration date by just 2 weeks and they said No. So then I emailed back to see if I could pay the $100 I had read that people do in order to get at least the $240 credit ($340-$100) for a flight in Feb and again they said No. I have read several accounts online of folks who were able to pay $100 to get funds extended for 6 months. Did they change this policy? Is it that I have to wait until they actually expire before I ask? Ugh! I know I should have paid attention more and planned better but things happened out of my control to need to cancel this flight this month (that I had stupidly booked last Feb!). Any thoughts or suggestions? thx
