My droid beeped and booped through out the land, it was the coolest thing. Yeah I would want to keep him with me while walking around.
I can tell you that there is very little policing of lightsabers out. Actually photopass encourages you to take them out for pics especially at night. I'm sure if people get to rowdy with it security might step in
If you are doing GE in the am and wanted to drop your droid off to be shipped to the hotel after the fact, can you still do that? I dont want to lug it through HS all day!

I'm assuming you can, just have your receipt.

I am very excited about this book signing on Aug 28th....I wonder how early we'd need to get there? I have the one book pre-ordered and I'm listening to the other as an audiobook as I type this. I would be happy to buy each as a hard cover and have them signed but I dont know how much time to allot to this event.

Do you guys think something like this would work as a replacement for the droid backpack?

    It's outside dimensions are 14.8x14.6x6.2
Are you getting an R or BB model? I have been looking into this too. I am heading to DLR in about 2 weeks. I think the R might fit, but I have read some things that say the BB had a 7 or 8” diameter. It looks like the Rs are a little over 1 foot tall, but the BBs are about 10”. I think the Rs are slightly less wide than the BBs, but I can’t find any definitive measurements of either.

I was able to make a reservation for Savi’s. Does anyone know how long the experience is? Trying to avoid reading the in-depth reviews (spoilers?).

    Thanks!

I've seen videos where there were definitely more than 2 in a group as only 1 was building inside (No more than 3). 2 kids shouldn't be a problem long as they remain behind you.
Thanks for the insight, hopefully there'll be more confirmation of this before my trip (12/10 is my Droid/Saber/Oga's day).
People keep talking about capacity but my experience is that for spaces like this the legal capacity is far denser than what Disney would choose to do so I'm positive it's up to them, and that being said I wont fault them for keeping the space from being too crowded feeling, I will however fault them for designing it so that the only way it can be experienced is at basically $100 per person and if you're a single adult family of 3 you're SOL (not the case for me, I COULD choose to buy 2 sabers so each kid could experience it without having to find a sitter for the one left behind, but there are plenty of single parents of multiple kids.)

@yulilin3 Did I read that you built a droid? Which model? Would you mind measuring the height/width/depth? I really want a droid backpack when I go week after next, but I doubt they will have any. I am trying to come up with a solution from my existing pool of backpacks/bags. Thanks

I spoke with 3 different CMs (because you really cannot trust the accuracy for the most part) and all 3 of them said they looked "at the literature" where these experiences are concerned. All 3 of them said that if you have an experience or Oga's booked, you are guaranteed admittance into SWGE. Any idea if they will give limits on time?

I didnt care about Pandora, but I read where people were given time limits? If that is the case, how would they enforce that?

There has been little talk of opening day merchandise predictions. I see on eBay there are "countdown" pins as they had in DL and I'm hoping they offer the full set in WDW as I won't be able to collect each one separately, I am guessing. What other "non-Batuu" WDW Opening Day LE merchandise do we think will be available? Jumbo pin, tees, magic bands...

Also, where will they be available for purchase in HS on opening day? I know most of us will be headed directly to Batuu and if they keep it the same as DL, that merchandise won't be available there. When we checked in for reservations at DL, they had merchandise available in the Launch Bay before the 8AM opening at 6AM. I suppose I'm worried that if I go directly for Batuu, I will miss out on LE items I really love to collect until I am back on planet.

    Advice?

yes I built an R unit. He's about 1ft tall 8 inches wide 7 inches deep. The BB unit is obviously shorter but I think a bit fatter. I got the backpack and it comes with a nice strong foam bottom where the unit rests snuggly so it's doesn't bounce around while walking

there hasn't been talk because there hasn't been any announcements. My guess is that opening day LE merch will be at Mickey's of Hollywood (if it's open by then) or Cargo Bay at the exit to Launch Bay

When making reservations for Savi's or the droid depot does each participant get to build? in other words if I sign up two people (my son and myself) does that mean we are reserving two spots to build or 1 spot to build with one person watching?

If you sign 2 people up for the experience you are signing up for 2 builds and paying for 2 builds. If only one wants to build and one wants to watch just make the reservation for one.

Shocked I managed to get both droid and savi workshop booked for 30th August at HS. My concern now is getting into the land or indeed the park if it closes to capacity. Given the cancel policy is full price does this mean they guarantee us access for the experience? I’ve emailed Disney but no response as yet.
