Stay at FW...get in free or discount price to River Country?????

Okay, I had heard something and I'm trying to find out if it is true or not.
That if you are staying at Fort Wilderness, you can get in free or at a discounted price to River Country.
Does anyone know if this is true or not? I would love to know if it is or not.

Registered guests of Fort Wilderness get a discounted admission to RC, I do not think it is posted, but do ask for it,

There is a long running rumor that someday River Country will be the theme pool for Fort Wilderness, no official word from Disney on this however.

Do you happen to know what the discount is? We are not sure if we are going to go to FW or not and I would like to find out what the discount would be so we can make up our minds as to whether or not to go.

I am not aware of any discount for FW guests. I would love for someone to prove me wrong though. If a discount is offerred I will feel a little po'd as it was a well kept secret and I have obviosly over paid for my welcome. Usually the CM at check in tells you what is available as a FW guest. No CM has ever said anything to us regarding a discount at RC.

Yes! There is a discount for FW guests. I think it's 20%. It's not posted on the sign - you have to ask for it.

Hi Sharon.Yes there is a discount at River Country but I do not remember how much.I will look for our ticket stub from July and will let you know if I find it. Everyone is correct in the fact that you have to ask for the discount. Go to this water park. It is very fun and they are always having the Characters there to meet the kids.Goofy gets right in there doing cannon balls and starting up a contest for everyone else and he even goes down the big water fall slide!!! It was so much fun and we will be going back next time we go during the season.

mentions that the discount at that time was $4.00 for adults (from $18.00 to $14.00) and $3.00 for kids (from $14.00 to $11.00). Hope this helps!

Thank you....I was just trying to see if my DC card or because I was staying at FW...which one would have the better discount. And from what everyone is telling me....20% is much, much better!
