We are going to WDW in December...We were thinking of 1900 PF for breakfast but the Unofficial Guide says it's pretty noisy.

Should we do another one??

Which is your fav when alone as a couple but young at heart...

My husband and I really enjoy the Princess Storybook Breakfast. We enjoyed it so much last time that it was the first PS I made for our upcomming trip!

We really enjoyed the Cape May at the BC...it was much quieter than the others we did but still had great character interaction (and the food was great). :)

Another vote for Cape May Beach Club breakfast. It was very laid back & not noisy at all.
It was one of our favorite character meals.
Having Goofy come to your table early in the morning will always put you in a Disney mood ;)

I can't really say DH and I have ever been to a character breakfast we *didn't* like, with the exception of the one that used to be at Artist Point but is gone now.

Donald's Breakfastosaurus is really loud, but a lot of fun.

Cape May Cafe was really quiet and subdued, but we weren't impressed with the food. It wasn't bad, though.

Crystal Palace is our favorite so far

Garden Grill used to be good but they no longer serve breakfast

1900 Park Fare has been hit or miss. We've had breakfast there a few times and had both excellent breakfasts and annoying or not-so-good ones. One of our favorite encounters was at the 1900 Park Fare, so I wouldn't hesitate to return. :)

Glad to hear you guys say such good things about the Cape May breakfast. We will be trying that for the first time on our next trip. Glad that it's a good environment for (kid-less) adults too!

Great...Now DH wants to do Cape May as well as 1900...There goes the budget.

Love the reviews...How was the food at each?

Donald's Breakfastosaurus was decent. Some very interesting menu items you don't find at any other character breakfast. Not our favorite for food, though.

Cape May Cafe was really pretty good. Not too memorable, though.

Crystal Palace has been fantastic every visit

1900 Park Fare has been excellent once and just decent the other time.

Really, the only *bad* breakfast we had of the character breakfasts was Artist Point. Didn't like the food there at all. But, that doesn't matter since they're no longer doing a character breakfast there. ;)

Oh yeah! How can I forget! Cindy's! That one the breakfast wasn't too memorable other than the french toast, but the characters were very nice. And there's just the fact that you're eating at the *castle*. Of course, it's next to impossible to get so good luck. ;)

My BF and I really liked Chef Mickey's ... he's usually pretty reserved so I wasn't sure if he would appreciate the napkin waving bit ... but he didn't mind it at all :p We also thought the food was great! There's lots to choose from ... eggs, potatoes, waffles, breakfast pizza and fruits :)

I also liked the Crystal Palace as well ... we went for a slightly later, around 10:15, and it was pretty quiet. I thought the food here was very good as well.

If you want a quieter and less expensive character meal, how about the Ice Cream Social at the Land in Epcot? It's about $7 a person ... When I was there last May, there was hardly anyone in the restaurant and the characters came by several times :) I thought the ice cream was quite good (actually, a little too big for me) but I've read about others who don't like it at all.

IMO, the food at Cape May was very fresh & hot. It was your tyical buffet breakfast food, waffles, fresh fruit, eggs, donuts, etc. etc.
DH also had a made to order omlet, which arrived within 7-10 minutes after ordering.

When we went it was not busy at all so we had a nice time with the characters. Goofy came over lots of time.

I don't know if the time we went had something to do with our experience. We had a PS for 7:50am, got there a few minutes before 8:00 & was seated right away :)

Our server, Dorothy, was THE BEST too! She was super friendly & on top of things. She, with the help with Goofy & friends made the day start off really enjoyable :)

Another vote here for Cape may Cafe. We won't even try another restaurant for a character breakfast. Food and service are tops! The atmosphere is relaxing and very pleasant.

In all fairness, the only other CB we've tried was a few years ago at Chef Mickey's. We swore we'd NEVER go back! Very noisy, very crowded, food was not on the same level as CMC. I know I'm in the minority with this opinion (please don't flame me folks, maybe our experience was an isolated incident!!).

My DH and I also do character breakfasts when we go and we're 50 years old.
1900 Park Fare is our favorite. I've gone here 5 times and the food has always been very good. I don't notice to noise though. The service has always been excellent too. We really enjoy watching the kids interact with the characters. I've taken 3 different groups there and they always want to return. This is a buffet and they make omelets to order.
Epcot Princess Breakfast at Norway is a plate service meal-but they will bring you all you want of any item. It was very relaxed and quiet at this breakfast. My sister and I did this breakfast and even as adults we enjoyed the character interaction. We had our pictures taken with each character.
Cape May had the fewest characters at their buffet. I did not think their food was near as good at 1900 Park Fare. This has probably been my least favorite.
Cinderella's Royal Table was disappointing in the food. I looked forward to the French toast and did not think it was that great. It was a wonderful experience eating at the castle and we enjoyed the characters. The service was excellent-I just expected better food.
For a non-character breakfast-Boma buffet is fantastic. We also enjoy the food at WL's Whispering Canyon. I have heard that Trail's End Buffet at Fort Wilderness is wonderful and it is not expensive(as far as others). I hope to try this one on our next trip.

I can't really say for a "couple" since I've never gone with my husband without the kids. LOL But I have gone solo- so I would think it would be about the same? I mean I'm an adult that's a kid at heart- so a couple really wouldn't be much different. But I'll list MY favorites that I've done so far on my solo trip as well as the character meals that my HUSBAND seemed to also enjoy himself- not counting the kids' favorites/opinions since you are asking about adults. :)

My favorites on my solo trip were Breakfastasaurus @AK and Garden Grill Ice cream social. I did not feel out of place at either one- even being a solo adult. The GG ice cream social was very relaxing AND the CM's and characters there did a great job making me feel comfortable being there alone, offering to take pictures but not bothering me if I wanted a little quiet time/etc.

And we did Storybook Princess breakfast @Epcot as a family- but my husband enjoyed that as well. It was not loud although we expected it to be considering the kids with us and everyone else- he liked the food too when he thought there was no way he'd like the food enough to be worth that much money... but he did. He also didn't think he'd enjoy eating breakfast with only female characters coming around (keep in mind HE is not a big Disney fan really..... me and the kids are LOL) but he actually did not hate it- I guess they intrigued him more than characters we saw on our trip that were in costume... you know, that they were face characters and looked so much like the 'character'.

I have a feeling if we'd done 1900 Park Fare that I and DH would enjoy those as much as the children also... but I can't really say on the noise factor/food/etc because we haven't done that yet. :)
