The adventures of Tiggerdad (A collection of camping locations, mishaps, reviews, alterations, food, and whatever else I can find)

Just curious,
A) When will this project be done?
B) What is the cost of a summer pass there?

Finish tomorrow is my plan. I return to work Friday.

Open to all guests as long as they can control themselves and tend to bring nice side dishes.

Side dishes? Heck, if I'm drivin' down, I'll bring a whole dang meal

Thought even without the table that seating is really cool and keeps the on deck footprint low.

Well, got it finished minus electrical outlets and black lattice around base of it.

Jim, after two days of figuring and trial and error with leftover wood scraps here is what I did with corner seating.

With trial and error ultimately I decided on a seat height of 16". I ran a 2x4 at 15" height because the decking board would give me the other inch in height.

I let them meet at the corner post with one running wild.

I added an extension on the other one.

Added a 2x4 on both ends then boxed it in.

I cut corner post and experimented with multiple angles for the back. Ultimately I settled on a 60 degree angle.

So here is corner seat as I finished it.

We finished up all railing and put gates at top of steps to keep dogs off deck unless we are outside with them.

This is the lower deck. We also went with solar light post caps.

The larger upper deck. I am painting the water line that comes up along the post near pool, that is why there is a garbage bag there.

I go back to work tomorrow. Vacation is over. Now to get some rest.

That looks fantastic. Can't wait to bring the asparagus and go for a dip.
I trust you are NOT leaving The Rock Star Home Alone. You might want to consider bringing Dear Mrs Bert's Mommy along as well. She if the rumors are to be believed never passes on an opportunity to organize an impromptu Chunky Dunking Party or seventeen

At 1030 last night I'm laying in bed and hearing this loud rattling noise. I go outside and find this culprit:

With her head and front shoulders through here:

So, in the dark and shorts I'm scrounging to get my hands on the drill driver and had to disassemble the gate to get her out.

:sad2:

Michael sure that was what you wanted to do. I can sympathize with you when I read it I instantly looked at our stairs. Our WookieBear as a puppy would climb up to the 5th step an stick her through the balusters, That was till the day she got her head stuck I had to pick her up turn her sideways while Lucille turned her head and pushed it to me. Last time she ever did that

On our last Disney visit, as we got off the boat from FW at MK, there was a child who had gotten her head stuck between the railings.

my wife did that when she was a kid too, so it took everything we had not to fall over laughing at the poor family.

She wanted to take a late night swim.
