Anyone know when this might be released to DVD?

I can only find a mention that it was suppose to be Nov. 2009 but that didn't happen.

The movies' theatrical release was May 2009.

Did anyone see this movie and what did you think?

I did see the sound track in the gift shops at WDW last week, but no DVD.

If you go to the links at the top of the Disboard Home page you will find an interview with one of the Sherman brothers. I listened to it yesterday - it was great.

In the interview he mentions when it will be released, but I can't find the info in the transcript. I can't remember when he said it would be, but if you get a chance to listen you could get the information that way.

In the interview (which was really good!) they said the DVD should be out sometime this summer. No specific date though.

I'm disappointed it isn't on Amazon for pre-order yet.

I've seen the film. It's absolutely riveting, and you learn things about the brothers (especially Robert) that's really never been made public before. If you do get the chance to buy or rent the DVD, I highly recommend it.

2009. Here list the play list

We saw the movie while on the DVC Member Cruise last year (after meeting Richard Sherman on a DVC cruise a few years before). Very interesting movie and it was great getting to see how things happened. I highly recommend it.

I love the Sherman Brothers. I remember telling my dad years ago that i wish they had a sherman brothers movie, like the Frank and Ollie one. I havnt seen the movie but will be getting it when it comes out. I have the song Book CD. And got their book "Walt's Time" a couple years ago.

My wife and I also saw the film on the DVC Members cruise last year. It is very moving.

I've heard two release dates.

At the Walt Disney Family Museum, I was told it is scheduled to be released in August 2010.

On another thread, it was reported that at a "Waking Sleeping Beauty" screening in Southern California it was stated it would be released in September 2010.

So, it sounds like it may be released by the end of 2010.

I'm not sure where you live, but in Massachusetts this documentary is available on our "On Demand" movies on TV. We watched it last week and it was great--interesting story, awesome soundtrack (obviously!). I bet you could also get it on Netflix if you are a member.

I finally watched this through Amazon On Demand tonight. I honestly had no idea they were so isolated from each other, I guess I have some studying up on history to do in order to call myself a worthy member of D23! It seems like Bob must be the force at keeping them apart as Richard seems visibly upset that they aren't close. I just don't understand it. It was absolutely heartbreaking to me that their families had to be put in the middle of such an awkward situation.

Regardless, they are very talented and the documentary was a must see. Yet another to add to my collection.
