Well this is my first trip report, so here goes.

November 21, (the Tuesday before Thanksgiving) got up around 4:30 to leave for airport at 5:30, 1 hr. + trip to Albany airport. First time flying Southwest Airlines. Different check in process than other airlines, not too bad, we got in the 2nd boarding section. Flight arrived early, I do not like to fly so I won't go into details.

DH got the luggage while I got the rental car. As in every other trip, I went back up stairs to look for DH while he was down stairs looking for me. We have go to get that straight one of these trips. No problem with National car rental.

Drove to Goodings, our traditional stop and bought, milk, OJ, fruit, Pepsi with a styrofoam cooler, oh and the ice. Drove to the Wilderness Lodge. This is our most favorite resort and our second time staying here. We arrived around 1 pm, and was assisted by Paul out of our vehicle. Very nice person. He took our car and luggage and directed us to go inside. The counter was busy, but our wait was no longer than a minute our two. The clerk was not pleasant, actually kind of condesending, but we did get the requested smoking room. (DH would smoke on the balcony only (thanks dear)). The room was not ready, maybe this is a mistake to come down before Thanksgiving, other trips have been after Thanksgiving, but this year would not be able to go so late.

We went to Roaring Forks for lunch. OH by the way, it was not warm enough to change into shorts. Hmm another sign of our poor timing. We have the little Pizzas, not bad.

Not sure what we wanted to do, so we went over to the new Villa's to look around. Desk clerk said we could not see a room, all full, We did find a non english speaking maid who did show us each type of room. Very nice. We saw the pool and the fitness room and the hot tub. No one in the pool or hot tub.

We decided to ride the boat to MK to activate our annual passes. This is the first time using our annual passes. The ferry had just arrived as we did, so there was a wait at guest relations. It was a round 2, by the time we entered MK, and people were starting to line up for the parade. We walked down Main Street, It is SO nice to be back at Disney. The only Christmas decorations up were the garland across the street, no tree yet.

We went to Tomorrow Land and did C of P, haven't done that one in years, and DH had never done CoP. DH started to develop a headache, so we decided to go home to the Lodge. It is now just about 3 pm. I got my most favorite treat on the way out, stopped at the Bakery and go my ice cream sandwhich, with my choice of cookies.

Took the boat back to WL. It is still cool, we have not taken our sweatshirts off. Guest Relations gave us our room number, 5114 and DH went up stairs to call for our luggage. I stayed and finalized our Candle Light Processional tickets. They gave us lanyards, with special CP pins, nice touch. We had the 2nd show on Friday night (the first night of the showing).
by the time I did get up stairs, luggage was already delivered. The service is very timely at WL.

We unpacked and then headed for EPCOT. We were in time for the 2nd viewing of TON parade and then we ate at the Fish and Chips stands outside of Rose n'Crown. We took our food out back and watched British Invasion. Good food, Good show, never caught them before. We then strolled the countries, we got Champagne in France watched the Living Statues. By the time we were back around, it was still cold and we decided not to stay for Illuminations. Took the bus back to WL. Hit the Hot Tub. This became a daily ritual.

It's good to be back. :D

I know wxactly what you mean about missing each other at the airport. My mother does that to me all the time. Last time she flew, I threatened her with bodily harm if she left the gate after she got off the plane.

The WL sounds fantastic. We'll be staying there next time we make a winter time trip.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Lisa :)
