I'm loving that strawberry pound cake. It looks so yummy. Of course I love anything strawberry. LOL!! I'm a sucker for anything strawberry. Don't get me wrong, I love chocolate, but strawberries are so yummy. LOL!! Put chocolate and strawberries together and I'm in heaven. LOL!!

Strawberry fields!! We went berry picking all the time when we lived in Florida. We had a U Pick Em field right down the street from my house. I miss it so much. They have them here, but they are soooo far away. And there's something about the berries tasting better when you pick them yourself.

Me too! Strawberries and chocolate are delicious.

I agree the ones we get at the grocery store usually aren't very good.

Hmmmmmm....I've never stayed at Boardwalk, but I do love French Quarter. I'm all about trying new things. I'd say go for it and stay at Boardwalk.

Cute vlog! We used to do this every summer when I was growing up in a rural area. I'm on vacation a week from Monday and going to visit home, so hoping to get to our usual u-pick fields. We're also having a late season here—most places aren't even open yet, so hopefully we won't be too late by the time my vacation rolls around. How was your pound cake??

I'd also go for Boardwalk in that situation. I really like POFQ, but they hardly ever have any discounts because it's such a small resort. And they often have their own buses, but once in a while when it's not busy they'll double up with Riverside and then it's a longer ride because POR has multiple stops. I'd love the proximity to Epcot and DHS! But POFQ is more convenient for DS. If you can get a good deal and the budget can handle it, I'd probably shoot for Boardwalk.

I think the AP discounts released right now have their availability really messed up! At least I hope so! It doesn't make sense that some of these resorts have plenty of availability for regular reservations but no AP availability.

Maybe make a backup Boardwalk reservation and keep watching for POFQ discounts?

My vote would be for the one closest to the most of the restaurants you are going to go to. POFQ will be nice to get to DS. But Boardwalk will be great if you are going to EPCOT a lot. Go for proximity!

I guess I'll call this a .5 vote for each :rotfl: They are a hot mess. I called the other night and got nothing. Then the next day they're released but they have dining packages rolled in for POFQ? I definitely grabbed the Boardwalk reservation because I didn't know how long it would be there, so I'm holding both but kind of want to make a decision so I'm not holding deposits for both on my card.
You can make mine a full 1 vote for POFQ just because I'll be there! :goodvibes

It totally makes sense for you to switch to BWI! Gives you a chance to experience more of the resorts and fits in Epcot/MK better. Though it would have been cool to stay at the same resort!

I'm currently in an email "argument" with guest relations about the AP non-deal for POFQ. They said I must not be looking at the right deal because there is no passholder package discount. I took a screenshot, also one of the offer details which says a ticket is included, which doesn't make sense for a passholder deal. Haven't heard back yet but I'm hoping to knock a bit more off my eventual cost! Currently holding 3 reservations for POFQ for the exact same dates-one GP discount that is set as a Basic Package, one room only, non discounted, which I was hoping to switch to a discounted, and one passholder package! Would like to be able to cancel 2 of those ASAP!

We ended up just going out to dinner at Mexican Radio and watched Moana. Oh and I've watched the first 2 Cars movies now too! Josh wasn't a fan, but I thought the first one was cute.

Yay Moana! I love it so much!! And I feel the same way about Cars. The first one was cute and had its merits, but I'm not a huge fan of the second one.

I don't think you can complain about food you ate in less than 10 minutes. If there was something so terribly wrong with it (and she did a lot of complaining to her family when it was brought out) she could've told a waiter before she ate it. I thought that was hilarious. The poor server was probably more than a little confused on how to solve her problem.

Woah. Like, what did she expect him to do when all the evidence was gone. And obviously it wasn't terrible if she could scarf it down so quickly. People are funny.

And with that month and a half of celebrating over...I'm 25!

Yay! I love the draw out my birthday celebrations, too. But I don't think I've ever celebrated for a month and a half before! :P

So I think we're tacking on one more day at the Boardwalk to go to the concert.

Yay Boardwalk, and yay extra day! Glad you could fit in a concert you actually wanted to see!

Grand Floridian Tea-4:50 pm
(Josh is being a super good sport about this).

So fun. Good for Josh!

I was looking for a B&C reservation during the trip, and managed to snag a 10 pm one
this night. It was the only one I could find,
and I figured maybe we could grab ice cream before we leave.

Yum! And I've heard of people who had good luck with walk-ups there if you decided you wanted to try to get in earlier than 10.

If they were older (and in Florida or Nebraska), I would say it was my grandparents friends! :rotfl: Honestly, my grandparents had these friends that what eat 90% of their meals, leave a few bites, and complain until the restaurant comped their meal. Every time they went out. It got to the point where my grandparents wouldn't go with them anymore because they were embarrassed by their friends.

Wooo! Birthday month and a half is totally a thing :thumbsup2

Also I got a Groot backpack for our next trip.

Which is adorable!

Sadly, the ones on our Disney days aren't any groups or singers I'm a fan of (Starship and Lauren Alania).

Same with us. We have quite a few choices over our trip:
  • Sister Hazel – September 16-17
  • Air Supply — September 18-20
  • David Cook — September 21-22
  • Everclear — September 23-24
  • Sugar Ray — September 25-27
  • 38 Special – September 28-29
And for me, they're all meh. I would probably see Mark Wills, because we're country music fans, but we will be cruising at the time of course!

Plus the Boardwalk is for walking to Epcot and HS, and going to Epcot the day after we leave seemed silly when we could just stay for one more day.

Yes for walking to two parks!

So cute! Sometimes I feel a little silly going into Hot Topic as a 30+ year old, but their Disney stuff is adorable and their sales are great!

Had to laugh when I read this. We should have a contest to see who holds the record for juggling the most reservations at one time. My husband would think I was nuts if he knew. At one point last week, I was holding on to 4 diff Cabana Bay resos, cause I couldn't figure out which weekend and which days. Plus 3 diff key west resos for a diff getaway. Before that a few diff WDW confirmations for a diff trip.

My complex email confirmation and cancellation filing and tracking system to make sure all the deposit refunds go back to my card correctly would probably get me diagnosed as nuts by any mental health specialist. Beautiful mind, anyone? I feel like I need to start logging all this on my walls. :rotfl2:
