This Sparks Joy! A Feb/Mar 2019 Birthday Trip NEW 7/6 x2 THE END of an Amazing Healing Trip!!

MMmmmm, tatchos most definitely spark joy!!!!

They do!!

Those are my fav parts, too!! LOVE the boat at the end!

I pretty much watch Fantasmic! for those parts. I like those and seeing Pocahontas. But the boat is definitely the most fun!

I am dying to stay in a Royal Room some day!! Love all those details, especially the little ottoman.

It was so cool! I love all the artwork and attention to detail!

Your EPIC trip plan change makes me very jealous!!!!!!

It's crazy how soon it is! But can't wait to see you!

Oooo love the new plans! And how awesome that now your cruise is so close!! When DH and I added on our Disney dream cruise to our trip last year it was seriously so awesome because it was only like two months out! lol now that I am planning one for March 2020 I feel like what is this waiting nonsense :rotfl:

Really seems like kismet to just extend your trip!!

Haha I know what you mean, usually our cruises are booked more than a year out. but now that it's so soon... I feel so unprepared, LOL. But I am super excited!!!
I actually LOL'd at the people in front of you on RNR :rotfl2: hopefully they were having a "who can look more bored contest" lol

That is probably what they were trying to do. I tried it before and I was always unsuccessful. I can't not scream on this ride!

Bummer that SDD went down, TSM is a fun alternative though! Especially when you are victorious! haha

I do wish SDD was up and running but we do love TSM and Steve loves to try and beat me. Hehe.

Also, I agree about POFQ vs POR. I like the size and food court options much more than POR! I do wish that all of the resorts did some sort of themed room, you would think they would since most people would want to book them!

Themed rooms at every resort I think would take it to a whole new level! They already have Pirate rooms and the suites at AoA are all themed so they should really make some other ones too! A Moana or Lilo and Stitch one at the Poly would be amazing! Maybe a Mary Poppins one at the GF, Incredibles at the Contemporary...Chip n Dale over at Wilderness Lodge...omg the possibilities are endless!

I honestly have to say that I really loved our Royal Room (the 2 times we stayed in one). I think the attention to detail is amazing, and what a perfect place to stay if you are a princessy girl!!!!

That is ME!!! Loved the room!

I'm sorry to hear Steve's dad is having health issues. It has to be hard being on the opposite coast.

Thank you, yeah it's been so difficult to try and visit him with our crazy schedules and he can't really travel much now.

Congrats on the cruise! What an awesome trip you have coming up!

Thank you! I'm so excited!

That's too bad SDD was down. It's disappointing when you're really looking forward to riding something and it's down.

Yeah...especially when it's an E-ticket ride like SDD or FoP!

Totally agree with you on POFQ over POR. I've only stayed at POR once, but we had terrible luck with the buses and felt like it was just too big and spread out. We love POFQ. It's definitely my favorite moderate.

I love POFQ and I am so excited I get to stay there in a month!!

The princess room is beautiful. I bet it's just like seeing the castle all lit up for Christmas. Pictures are wonderful but seeing it in person you get the WOW factor.

It is! I walked in and was immediately jumping around like a little kid!!

yeah! another trip report. this sparks joy for me!! :yay::yay::yay::yay: Can't wait for your trip report on the Dream. We will be on the Dream in October. :)

After LWTL we went to fill up our popcorn bucket. My trusty Marvel Day at Sea popcorn bucket is probably my most re-used item that I bring to the parks. Now I get to bring it on a cruise too! We went to the kiosk in between The Land and Imagination Pavilion and if you didn't know already, they have flavors in addition to regular butter popcorn. They have caramel corn, cheddar, and buffalo blue cheese. We decided to try some buffalo blue cheese. I asked them to fill it half way with regular and add some of the buffalo on top because I wasn't sure if I would like it. It turns out, it's pretty good!

So many questions / comments for this... One, how in the world do you get that popcorn bucket back and forth and not break it?

I think I need to try that popcorn again, we tried it a long time ago and only kind of liked it. I heard that mixing it with the cheddar is good as well.

So far in all my times riding this I've never been the rebel spy. It has to happen in my lifetime, right? #notcountingonit.
Disney Goals!

We did, however have an amazing ride on RnRC! Not so sure about the people in front of this though!

Ha! Those people def don't look like they are having fun.

We were feeling a little peckish so we went to Woody's Lunchbox and got Totchos - tater tots with cheese, chili, sour cream, green onion, yum.

Grilled Flank Steak, and a Fried Shrimp Platter. i wish I could have gone to POFQ for their muffelatta but maybe next time! The food was basic but good and tided us over. I was full but it wasn't satisfying, know what I mean? Maybe I just didn't know what to order. Also I've eaten a lot of fried foods lately so I probably could cut down a wee bit!
I had this the one night we ate there, and the menu online says there was fried green tomatoes with it. I was very disapointed with this. It was fine but meh.

Love the stool!

I am OBSESSED with these Genie faucets.
And the Faucet!!!

I kept turning the water on and off. I was like 5 year old who has discovered a new toy and kept on playing with it. :sad2:
HA!

Not so much this resort, although I think it is lovely, I prefer POFQ just slightly more.
Us to. We were not impressed at all. I would probably pick any of the moderate over this one. It was all fine but not our style.

This is the most joyful photo!

Aww how fun

Oooh check out that Away luggage! looking nice!

POR has a beautiful and grand looking lobby.

Soooo lovely.

So we ran down the ramp and managed to get on the boat to Disney springs!

Boat travel is the best travel... though, admittedly, a little slow.

Honestly it was pretty empty inside so no real need for a FP anyways! So far in all my times riding this I've never been the rebel spy. It has to happen in my lifetime, right?

Me too! On both coasts. I'm convinced it'll never happen.

i wish I could have gone to POFQ for their muffelatta but maybe next time!

Wish you could have had that! It's a pretty good version of it.

What a lovely corner

I am OBSESSED with these Genie faucets.

ME TOO! I've never stayed in those rooms, but they're definitely my favorite detail.

Imagine a Moana room at the Poly...:scratchin

Ooooh sign me up immediately!

The royal rooms at POR are adorable!!! I wish we'd been able to spend more time in our room when we stayed there two years ago :bounce: I kept hitting the button for the fireworks in the head boards and my dh was like "you know the kids are trying to sleep and that isn't helping" :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm sorry you've had to postpone the Alaska cruise, but it sounds like it's for the best. Wishing Steve's dad some healthy vibes  and hey, extending your May trip to include a cruise? That's fantastic party:

POR has a beautiful and grand looking lobby. Since it was our first time here, it took us a few minutes to get our bearing and figure out where the boat launch was. It is actually very conveniently located near the main building unlike at POFQ where you have to walk a bit past the rooms towards the water. When we got out to the dock, there was a boat about to pull out, lucky us! So we ran down the ramp and managed to get on the boat to Disney springs!

That boat ride option to Disney Springs is something that keeps us coming back to Port Orleans Riverside. Although, I must admit, after our first stay at BWV this trip I don't know if I'll ever be able to convince DH to go back to POR!

This weather is certainly sparking some joy!! 78 degrees and sunny!

Oh, my goodness! The weather was just so perfect for our dates! Amazing since February can be really hit or miss weather-wise!

Ears on, we were on our way to our first park, Epcot!!

We were at EPCOT that day too! :)

I was ecstatic to be in my favorite park again!

Love these pics! EPCOT is our favorite park as well. Even all three of my kids agree, it's their favorite. That really surprises most people! But, what's not to love even for kids?!

So I wanted to update you all on some vacation plans for our Epic May trip!

That's exciting news for your May trip!! I always fully support adding a DCL element to any vacation!

After LWTL we went to fill up our popcorn bucket. My trusty Marvel Day at Sea popcorn bucket is probably my most re-used item that I bring to the parks. Now I get to bring it on a cruise too! We did the same! Gotta love those refillable popcorn buckets!popcorn::

My DS was the Rebel spy on our first family of 5 visit to WDW. I didn't realize then what a coveted thing it was! I make sure to remind him every time we go, as he was only 3 at the time.

We did, however have an amazing ride on RnRC! Not so sure about the people in front of this though!

All good things in a bowl!! See my joy??

Mmm...Can totally appreciate the JOY in that! We loved those! There was one park day that my DH had tots with every meal!

What a beautiful room! I just love love love the drapes!

What a wonderful first park(s) day! Can't wait to hear more about your adventures!

first we made a detour to Mousegears to pick up the Figment passholder magnet!

I want a figment magnet! We got Pluto, which is OK, but I'd rather have figment!

Can't wait to see all the new stuff growing for Flower and Garden in less than 30 days!

So what all was new for F&G???? I was just choosing my pictures from the ride three weeks ago, and I didnt known they had new special stuff!

After LWTL we went to fill up our popcorn bucket.

I really wish I had your appetite! I don't have room for things like popcorn, I need to save what little tummy space I have for all the other food!

When we arrived we headed to do our Star Tours FP. It turns out I had the time wrong and we were actually 20 mins late for it but they let us on anyways. :)

That was nice of them! I've heard they give you a 15 minutes grace period after the cut off time, but never had the occasion to test it.

We were now headed to TSL for our Slinky Dog FP...only thing was...SDD was down!

Oh man. How disappointing! Then again it's not like it was your first or second ride on it.

Well we got on what we thought was a 35 minute standby line for A.S.S. and it turns out it was closer to 45. Blech.

Nope. Not even waiting 35 minutes for a ride that makes me queasy.

We were feeling a little peckish so we went to Woody's Lunchbox and got Totchos - tater tots with cheese, chili, sour cream, green onion, yum.

Someday I'll have to try these!

So at around 8:15 we decided to use our Anytime FP+ for TSM instead.

Not a bad choice.

Oh that's me the winner!!!:dogdance: #joy

I need to ride with you! Clearly you know more of the secrets to unlock than I do!

If that boat doesn't spark joy in you then, well, why are you at Disney?!?

So I don't belong at a Disney park if seeing Steamboat Willie during Fantasmic doesn't spark joy? What if my reasoning is it makes me long for the beautiful Mark Twain that's used at the finale at Disneyland's (*coughSUPERIORcough*) Fant?

:lmao:

We had to walk all the way to the buses which were still in their makeshift spots

When we were there they had just opened up the new bus stops for DHS.

Grilled Flank Steak, and a Fried Shrimp Platter.

That looks fantastic! You inspired me to put Flank Steak on next week's menu, but I wrap mine in bacon and roll them up like pinwheels.

But here it is, the most amazing Princess room!

It is very cool! I doubt that I would ever get there, being that it kills me to pay money to stay at Disney when I already pay out the nose for my "accommodation subscription."

I kept turning the water on and off. I was like 5 year old who has discovered a new toy and kept on playing with it. :sad2:

Sounds like me and my kitties, there are some of the younger ones who are enthralled with the bathroom sink and jump up every time I go to wash my hands or brush my teeth, they are right there sticking their paws in the water. Like they're trying to catch it or somethiing.

I also stared intently at the lights going off in the headboards.

I love those at DLH!

Thank you so much!

Nate is loving New Zealand! The ECOQuest program he is doing is phenomenal and there are a few friends from his university there with him. One week of classes was snorkeling on the South Island and another day he was swimming with wild dolphins "so we can better understand ecotourism." Last week was spring break so his group spent it hiking in the mountains of the South Island for the week. He is sharing amazing pictures with us.

OMG that doesn't sound like class at all, are you sure you're not paying for a semester long vacation?

Ben just committed to George Washington University last night to study International Relations.

Congratulations!! That is an amazing school!

This will never get old and not funny to me :rotfl:

Right? I think it's hilarious!! Someone must have had a sense of humor up there at Disney.

I completely agree!

:thumbsup2

How exciting to extend your May trip with a cruise!

I know! It's so exciting! I look forward to doing absolutely nothing!

What a bummer that SDD was down, but TSM is always so much fun!

I love them both!

I can't wait to go back and eat more Totchos. All the things I love in one cup.

It really is!!

:rotfl: sounds like me too!

LOL this seems to be a trend among many of us!

I am obsessed with the princess rooms and all the little details. The little bench from Beauty and the Beast makes me smile every time I see it.

I know! Every time I entered the room I found new details. It's so cool!

No plans yet. I booked flights on points so we could cancel, but can't figure out a hotel. There's not much left. Basically it's down to do we push for those dates (because that would cover one of two people on the Garden Rocks concerts that interest us :)) or scrap it and go for another weekend? Which may open back up the Epic Trip Weekend... :scratchin or later in May. Zack's got multiple jobs going out of state currently and the timelines change so often that it's hard to plan. But we're determined to make it to F&G this year and also I'm in travel withdrawal in general because we haven't been anywhere since January :P ETA: I just realized that I had booked a GG PPO Breakfast concert package for the 26th that I had forgotten about...

LOL that is funny when you book ADRs and forget about them. I have done so before and have managed to cancel at the last minute, haha.
Let me know if you're interested in joining us for any of the events if you happen to make it down for Epic weekend!

We're doing a double dip and I've got brunch on the 2nd Castaway day right now but I'd really like to switch it to the sea day. We also have dinner on the Nassau day and are hoping that when Zack's parents' window opens on the 9th we can change that to all of us for dinner.

Definitely try and shoot for the sea day! Nothing better than Palo brunch on a day at sea!

I love the Pop refurbs! And it was our first on-site resort :lovestruc

I love the refurbs too!

Fantastic updates as always! :D Loved seeing your visits to Epcot and DHS and I must see Toy Story Land, as it looks absolutely killer and sadly, I have not been to DHS in five years as I did not get to visit it :(, so I hope to to return soon :) .

Thank you!! Hope you do get to return soon! I understand it not being on everyone's high priority list because of all the construction but Toy Story Land is a great reason to go back!

I am very sorry about Steve's father and I will definitely keep him in my prayers.

Thank you so much, that is very kind of you.

Congratulations on extending your trip in May and it is fantastic that you get to go on a cruise, which is something I would not mind doing as I have not done that, let alone a Disney Cruise.

Thanks! It was definitely unexpected and it was sucky to have to cancel Alaska which is a bucket list destination for me but I hope to try again in a few years time! We also have a Hawaii cruise next year on DCL so I'm not really complaining :)
I highly recommend a Disney cruise! I don't even like cruising that much because I'd rather be on land, but Disney Cruises are just a whole different experience, it's amazing.

Lastly, the Princess Rooms at POR look killer and as an "Aladdin" fan, the Genie themed fixtures on the sink are an amazing detail. So far, I have stayed at the Hilton Disney Springs, Hilton Buena Vista Palace, and Disney's Coronado Springs, but I am hoping to stay at POR one day and book a Princess Room.

It is a fantastic room! So many details and I love the theme. I hope they have more themed rooms like this, they are so much fun!

I am sorry to hear that Steve's father isn't doing well and hope his health improves soon. On a bright note, your 2 week trip sounds amazing! We'll actually be at WDW a few of the same days (May 3-11) so I'll keep an eye out for you on the 4th and 5th!

Thank you so much!
Hey if you're around we should meet up! You can PM me, or you can meet us while we are doing our Epic Walk Around the World on May 4th! I'm sure you can't miss us!

I'm sorry about SDD being down but at least you got TSM instead! We are very excited for our first ride(s) on SDD!

It's the most fun coaster ever! It's like 7DMT but I think it is better, plus it's at least 2 minutes longer! :rotfl:

My 3 year old DD would loooove that princess room!

She really would and I'm sure you would too!

So jealous! And you'll get to do a little bit of everything too. It will be so nice to relax on the cruise right before going home.

That is what I'm counting on! Finally getting some R n R!

I thought it was go big and go cruise.

That sounds better so yes!

It's the opposite of my personality!!

So you're a salty guy with a sweet tooth? :cool1:

Not to self. Bring own cocktail sauce. smuggle in, somehow. worth it.

I'm sure one can procure a bottle of cocktail sauce at Disney...

Just bring some tools next time.

I will!!

"Thinking... Do I need a plumber's wrench? Or will a vice grip be okay?"

Thor's hammer perhaps?

You never know, it might. My wife was the rebel spy not once but TWICE...on the same trip! I was so mad because she doesn't even like Star Wars.

What!?!? What are the odds of that?!? That's amazing!!

That's exactly what I think. I get a bit freaked out. But Once I am on the ride I like it.

Totally how I feel too!

The steak looks pretty good. I wasn't overly impressed with the POR food court, I thought it was just OK. I did enjoy a roast chicken dinner though. That was about the best I had in the week I stayed there.

Yeah us too, that was the only time we ate at the food court. The next morning we went to POFQ for breakfast and were just like...ok we're never going to eat at POR again!

I think it just means you get that 2nd window instead of a wall. I don't think the room size is different. I stayed in exactly the same corner room layout as yours. I did find it let in a bit more light.
My family really enjoyed the Royal Room too, but I would have expected that from my princess-y girls.

Ah gotcha that was what I figured it was too, getting the extra window. I'd love to stay in one again! Just wish the food at POR was better!

Although I have never stayed at POFQ, I would really like to try it. We took the carriage ride down there and it seemed like a nice quiet resort, and smaller for walking around.

It was our first Disney resort and we love it! Can't wait to return in a few weeks!
yeah! another trip report. this sparks joy for me!! :yay::yay::yay::yay: Can't wait for your trip report on the Dream. We will be on the Dream in October. :)

I'm sure it will be just me doing nothing except going to watch Avengers: Endgame multiple times, going to the rainforest room, and EATING everything. :boat:

So many questions / comments for this... One, how in the world do you get that popcorn bucket back and forth and not break it?

I think I need to try that popcorn again, we tried it a long time ago and only kind of liked it. I heard that mixing it with the cheddar is good as well.

LOL, I take the clean bucket and put snacks and edible stuff for our trip and pack it in our checked suitcase. It holds up well!
Next time I'm gonna get cheddar and caramel mix like the Chicago mix!

Disney Goals!

Right?

Ha! Those people def don't look like they are having fun.

They were on the "who can make the most serious face on the ride photo" challenge I bet!

I need to try these. We did try the breakfast version and they were really good!

Yum! That sounds like something I ate in Disneyland last year!

I can't wait to ride this a couple times in a row at the DAH event! (Hopefully)

Yes! For the record at the DAH event we went to in Feb we managed SDD 4 times and TSM 4 times. That's pretty much all we did. The line for SDD wasn't empty it was about 20 mins each round. Still, it was worth it to just get it out of our system LOL.

I had this the one night we ate there, and the menu online says there was fried green tomatoes with it. I was very disapointed with this. It was fine but meh.

Oh too bad I would have loved the fried green tomatoes!

Love the stool!

It's soooo cool!

And the Faucet!!!

My favorite part of the room! And the headboards! And the artwork...I love it all!

Us to. We were not impressed at all. I would probably pick any of the moderate over this one. It was all fine but not our style.

True, I wish they had princess rooms at other resorts though!

This is the most joyful photo!

Thank you! I was certainly feeling the Disney joy!

Aww how fun

i love Goofy's kitchen!

Oooh check out that Away luggage! looking nice!

Thanks! It's the Star Wars Hoth version!

Boat travel is the best travel... though, admittedly, a little slow.

Oh for sure, but it is a pleasant way to get around.

Me too! On both coasts. I'm convinced it'll never happen.

Never. But I guess that's why I keep going back! #nevertellmetheodds :rotfl:

Wish you could have had that! It's a pretty good version of it.

I have had it before many years ago and I really liked it! I hope it's just as good as I remember!

What a lovely corner

It's so pretty!

ME TOO! I've never stayed in those rooms, but they're definitely my favorite detail.

OMG they are the coolest faucets...I want to install them in my house. :rotfl:

Ooooh sign me up immediately!

I know, who needs overwater bungalows? Create Moana themed suites! :rotfl:

The royal rooms at POR are adorable!!! I wish we'd been able to spend more time in our room when we stayed there two years ago :bounce: I kept hitting the button for the fireworks in the head boards and my dh was like "you know the kids are trying to sleep and that isn't helping" :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hahaha that is so funny, you were probably like me. I was squealing every 2 seconds and Steve was just totally amused by me. :rotfl:

I'm sorry you've had to postpone the Alaska cruise, but it sounds like it's for the best. Wishing Steve's dad some healthy vibes  and hey, extending your May trip to include a cruise? That's fantastic party:

Thank you so much:hug:
And for sure in Oct we will meet up!
I can't wait for our cruise, it is so exciting to have it come up so soon! I'm usually waiting for like more than a year!

That boat ride option to Disney Springs is something that keeps us coming back to Port Orleans Riverside. Although, I must admit, after our first stay at BWV this trip I don't know if I'll ever be able to convince DH to go back to POR!

LOL Maybe the price? I do love the Boardwalk too, the location is amazing! Steve loves the Boardwalk!

Oh, my goodness! The weather was just so perfect for our dates! Amazing since February can be really hit or miss weather-wise!

Yes!! I've actually only had great weather in February, sometimes it can be a little cold but this trip was great except for that one night of pouring rain!

We were at EPCOT that day too! :)

Oh cool!! Maybe we are in each other's pictures and not know. Hehe.

Love these pics! EPCOT is our favorite park as well. Even all three of my kids agree, it's their favorite. That really surprises most people! But, what's not to love even for kids?!

That is surprising! But I loved Epcot as a kid too so who am I kidding, it really is the best park!!

That's exciting news for your May trip!! I always fully support adding a DCL element to any vacation!

Haha me too!! :thumbsup2

We did the same! Gotta love those refillable popcorn buckets!popcorn::

They are the best deal at Disney. :rotfl:

My DS was the Rebel spy on our first family of 5 visit to WDW. I didn't realize then what a coveted thing it was! I make sure to remind him every time we go, as he was only 3 at the time.

Wow that is so cool!!

Mmm...Can totally appreciate the JOY in that! We loved those! There was one park day that my DH had tots with every meal!

Yum!! They are really good!

What a beautiful room! I just love love love the drapes!

The drapes have hidden Mickeys in them!

I want a figment magnet! We got Pluto, which is OK, but I'd rather have figment!

Hey if I find our Figment magnet it is yours! I have done a terrible job of unpacking all the "random" stuff from our last trip, like magnets and even some stuff we bought, so when I find it I will send it over!

So what all was new for F&G???? I was just choosing my pictures from the ride three weeks ago, and I didnt known they had new special stuff!

I thought they usually have new stuff for all the festivals! Most of the time I don't remember what was there previously but Steve usually remembers!

I really wish I had your appetite! I don't have room for things like popcorn, I need to save what little tummy space I have for all the other food!

I eat popcorn for breakfast half the time I'm at Disney. popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

That was nice of them! I've heard they give you a 15 minutes grace period after the cut off time, but never had the occasion to test it.

I think because the ride was empty they made an exception. We were technically only 5 minutes late after the grace period. :rotfl:

Oh man. How disappointing! Then again it's not like it was your first or second ride on it.

Yes true, but I worked hard to get that FP! Toy Story is easy peasy compared to SDD FP!

Nope. Not even waiting 35 minutes for a ride that makes me queasy.

LOL so you never go on Tomater?

Someday I'll have to try these!

Yes! Although the breakfast tots I had in Grand Californian I thought were even better! Just no chili...

I need to ride with you! Clearly you know more of the secrets to unlock than I do!

LOL Steve and I can totally teach you! We are sometimes more successfull than other times, depending on how tired our arms get.

^ ^ ^ ^

:lmao:

OK you west coasters are absolutely right. I can't wait to see Fantasmic again in DLR. :rotfl:

When we were there they had just opened up the new bus stops for DHS.

Oh cool! Can't wait to see them in person.

That looks fantastic! You inspired me to put Flank Steak on next week's menu, but I wrap mine in bacon and roll them up like pinwheels.

LOL yours sound 20 times better than the POR version. It looks ok but was a bit bland.

It is very cool! I doubt that I would ever get there, being that it kills me to pay money to stay at Disney when I already pay out the nose for my "accommodation subscription."

Yes that's true when you have a good number of points you should totally use them! I wish I had more points!

Sounds like me and my kitties, there are some of the younger ones who are enthralled with the bathroom sink and jump up every time I go to wash my hands or brush my teeth, they are right there sticking their paws in the water. Like they're trying to catch it or somethiing.

Haha I am so totally like a bathroom kitty obsessed with one thing! The faucet!

I love those at DLH!

I really want to see these!

Definitely try and shoot for the sea day! Nothing better than Palo brunch on a day at sea!
Yes! If I can't get it online myself I plan to go ask about switching when we board :)
LOL that is funny when you book ADRs and forget about them. I have done so before and have managed to cancel at the last minute, haha.
Let me know if you're interested in joining us for any of the events if you happen to make it down for Epic weekend!
Yes, I had snagged a NPH Candlelight Procession ADR for last year, but we didn't end up going and luckily I remembered to cancel a few weeks out! We did a weekend in Nashville the weekend before his dates, and I won't like, there was serious consideration of flying from Nashville to MCO for 2 days  Looks like we're going to stick with these days, but I got us registered for the MK passholder thing so we will stay until Mon or Tues. I think I finally figured out some crazy hotel hopping plans to make it work.

Yes! If I can't get it online myself I plan to go ask about switching when we board :)

Good idea, that is my plan too!

Oh yay! So I guess see you guys in 3 weeks? :)

Where???????

LOL I'm pretty sure Cape May has some.

Might be a touch... overkill.

You said go big or go cruise.

I guess I have decided on "go cruise" :boat:

When we arrived at LWTL we had a short 10-minute wait.

SCORE!! (Actually this is what the wait should be all the time!)

It turns out I had the time wrong and we were actually 20 mins late for it but they let us on anyways. :)

I'm glad they honored it. :)

I do love this ride and ride it all the time, except when you first see this part as you walk into the loading area, you go OMG I can't believe I'm getting on this!

I get the jitters every time too!

It did not seem like there was much to do other than wait so we hopped on A.S.S. to pass the time, and maybe SDD would be back up when we were done. Well we got on what we thought was a 35 minute standby line for A.S.S. and it turns out it was closer to 45. Blech. We had to text Chunkysis pictures of this as she loves this ride just like she loves Tomater's Junkyard Jamboree in DCA! Finally after waiting longer than we had to, we finally boarded the ride.

Haven't ridden this yet, but plan too in Sept. :) Kinda in a "gotta do it once" way, I'm excited for it.

We were feeling a little peckish so we went to Woody's Lunchbox and got Totchos - tater tots with cheese, chili, sour cream, green onion, yum.

This keeps getting great reviews! I'm happy to know it's a solid option if I ever get "stuck" back in that area.

So no Slinky Dog but I beat Steve in TSM, all was ok! We caught the end of the Star Wars Fireworks as we were walking out of the park. We had to walk all the way to the buses which were still in their makeshift spots (but 10x better than it was last June) and our bus to Riverside was there! Can't complain about that!

Sounds like a winner kind of day to me!

We checked out Boatwrights but they had just closed, so quick service it was.

vyKHmrqESqn2hese4UjQ256JVotz-MHPidx7bb68sjrYIE5ay9uurE8_2mn_lP1n7lOhrIfbEzW-nnTWMB560vXzGeMqwdNNiS8np_ubPK6rDTFl-yFfbI3thjbD2Pe5M-KEs2LCsDtYbnw4xsP6iZvP-Ehq5_cneG9Bj70WpaoT1lFOSHegSxd6EjHKeJy8Hj3eJq9sRMflJ79oZpely0eS00Ni0L8TzF5G7KrrVeWR1pDk8LFFxp71haYA6coLby01FbUlQFhHc_FAniZazP_UvsWWgv2hsfKJTH1xKXn0ZMELDA7GipnT0myu1WawpniV0-JSm8LEhs-xH6i2xPY1gA5puBjg9NBF14Nh9p5oJp7Awy1TT784BkE6ODrYCc6uV6glWbZN6iW1xPsoOHgXaEXfoEWlwVQd2EATBjiJSBfOcv_wsCOd078tKrt-SZPPbOOWnc3X56XLJJFUCelj24BksI3mzV1DQILgCzpLn5vDKBpvsRtvHAspf9tcDlPSGb4zJX4ctBRvwrRvyjcqEDVf1NS7fEkInfJ3ZFHyTUYQCiyaf43W02EML5GGQzJweyhaHrbRJVQb8ruwSDR3xfj7Dwc3I0CNF0O94vXfrpBuqb9u2KoDBiRcqPsBi7-BwGIyGbY8mg0K4sBUOa0-gQDH5342=w800-h600-no

I am OBSESSED with these Genie faucets.

Those are AMAZING!!!

I don't have to do anything and everything comes to me. I really am a princess when I'm here.

Of course you are!!!

I'm here and all caught up!!!! I seriously cannot believe how much you got done in just one day. Vacation is certainly starting on the right note.

Loving your Royal room. We almost stayed there in February too (and again this August) but ultimately the cheap skate that I am led us to other resorts. I'm sure Casey would LOVE the royal rooms, but not quite sure about Jason :-) Speaking of Casey, so glad to see you all did the void and liked it. I really wanted to take Casey as she loves Wreck it Ralph but kids had to be ten for some unknown reason.

I suppose I did, at that.
What was I thinking?

I don't know. I always go big!

SCORE!! (Actually this is what the wait should be all the time!)

It should!!

I'm glad they honored it. :)

Me too, but it wasn't crowded so standby would have been the same wait!

I get the jitters every time too!

And meanwhile we've ridden it about 87x...:)

Haven't ridden this yet, but plan too in Sept. :) Kinda in a "gotta do it once" way, I'm excited for it.

It's always so fun to try a new ride at Disney!

This keeps getting great reviews! I'm happy to know it's a solid option if I ever get "stuck" back in that area.

Yup I think it's the best thing they have on their menu!

Sounds like a winner kind of day to me!

It was!

Those are AMAZING!!!

I LOVE the faucets!

Of course you are!!!

Absolutely, I don't know why no one at home believes I am a real princess?!?

That Carriage Ride is really nice

Good to know!

I'm here and all caught up!!!! I seriously cannot believe how much you got done in just one day. Vacation is certainly starting on the right note.

I think it's because the weather was so nice and we arrived early to get stuff done!

Loving your Royal room. We almost stayed there in February too (and again this August) but ultimately the cheap skate that I am led us to other resorts. The Royal rooms are so pretty! It was actually cheaper to stay there than Coronado Springs for those days, and also one of the last few rooms available since everything was booked for the Princess half. But I would stay there again for those faucets. #easilyamused

The Void is fun! I think it's because of the weight of the pack you have to carry...Casey might be a tad too small for it, but otherwise she can handle it like a pro! She would love it!!

And meanwhile we've ridden it about 87x...:)

HAHAH!!! We always seem to go back for more, don't we?

It's always so fun to try a new ride at Disney!

It was totallly like that for me at DLR the last couple of times. All of Carsland stuff was new to me. And SO worth it!

Absolutely, I don't know why no one at home believes I am a real princess?!?

Once in a while I have to bust out my tiara. ;)
