If I take the boat from MK to FW for Hoop Dee Doo, what is the best way to get back to Grand Destino at CS resort after?
Option 1--drive to FW, park and use boat to go to MK and back to FW for dinner.
Option 2--take bus to MK, boat to FW then Lyft back to resort.
Option 3--bus to MK, boat to FW, boat back to MK, bus to resort
Option 4--OTHER

Boats going to the campground and back to MK during busy times (ie park closing) are often not wheelchair/scooter accessible and necessitate waiting possibly an extra 30-45 minutes for one of the accessible boats (they supplement with non-accessible boats at busy times).

Otherwise, the trip from MK to FW is wonderful and there is so much to see both day and night. Taking a Lyft could be faster (although you have to take a boring internal bus to the road entrance of FW where visitor parking is so that adds time. Taking the water route over and back doubles the chances of sailing under the monorail and passing near the big ferries. It also offers a different view of the new Reflections resort, WL, CR, the former Discovery Island, Poly, and GF. If you have kids it can be fun to teach them how boats talk to one another through their horns as there are lots of boats passing each other. Boat captains also often have transportation cards that are fun to collect.

Driving could save you from having to stand up on a bus if you are going at a crowded time, or waiting in long lines just to get on the bus.

It sounds like you are spending the day at MK first, is that correct? If that is the case and you are willing to spend some extra money, I would bus to MK, boat to Ft. W from MK and then take a Minnie Van back to CSR. Other than buses, Minnie Vans are the only vehicles allowed back at the Settlement Outpost. If you take a Lyft, you will have to take an internal Ft. W bus up to the front of the resort. Not a huge inconvenience, but it just adds another step in the transportation process. You might also want to consider valet parking your car (for a fee) at CR. Then you could park, walk to MK, boat to Ft. W, boat back to CR after the show and simply drive back to your resort.

Agree that Minnie Van is your best option. We've done both a boat and Minnie Van and while the van option is slightly expensive they will pick you up right by Hoop Dee Doo which saves a lot of time after the show and is totally worth it.

Which Hoop show are you going to? We have always had direct busses back to resorts after the late show.
