Treasure Island Beach Condition

We are doing a day at the beach (Treasure island/ Madeira) in less than 2 weeks. Anyone know what the conditions are like? I hear the red tide has messed up a number of beaches with dead marine life etc...

Just spent a week at Madeira Beach. No issues. The effects appear to be south of Tampa Bay, starting around Anna Maria Island and going south.
