We have a Tusker Hosue breakfast ADR for 10:40am first week of February. They are calling for low crowds that day but I know AK is super busy lately.

    Questions are:
1)How long should we plan for the meal? Is 2 hours enough? our fp window is 11:30-12:30 for KS. I am hoping that we should be able to make it to Safaris for 12:20?

2)Will they seat us in time to actually eat breakfast? I have heard that seating can take a while and I know that they switch over to lunch pretty early.

    3) If we see the 10-10:30 FOLK can we make it to TH in time for our 10:40am reservation?

    Thanks!

    1. I think 2 hours is plenty.

    2. We had an 11:20 lunch reservation in May and waited 10-15 minutes. That said, some of the breakfast food was still out even when we were eating. The lunch food is quite good though, and will likely be out by the end of your meal. I’d advise you to take advantage.

    3. I think so, but don’t dawdle around.

1)We had a 10:40 adr the day after christmas! We arrived at 10:30. The park was filling up fast but our wait was under 10 minutes. They warned us it could take an hour and a half for all of the characters to make their rounds but it didn't actually take anywhere near that long. We were there for a FOL dining package, though....the characters were just a little bonus for us. :-)

2)We had a nice breakfast. I left room for a second plate of fruit. I noticed they had moved the main breakfast items to one area and had filled the other areas with lunch selections. I didn't see the fruit I had planned on getting but they had some other fruit dishes out that were delicious.

    3) I'm not sure about the FOLK show. You might be pushing it. I've only seen it once and it seemed to take longer than I expected. It was during spring break, though. Crowded.

We usually eat TH brft around that time - I would check in around 10:30 - you usually don't wait more than 10-15 min to be seated. As PP mentioned, they will start to change over to lunch around 11 so you can sample some of that as well(love the spicy coconut curry shrimp!) , but brft will stay out on one side for a while. Whatever you really like for brft get on your first trip up, and then can refill plates, but will then not miss anything if it is not refreshed. We usually figure 1 1/2 hrs for character meals, most times done in an hour and 15 min.

I would recommend seeing FOTLK after at 12:30 to not have to rush out after morning show, and can check in early. It is right next to it, so you will make it, but we like to eat then go get in line after. Depends on your other plans of course - we like to do Safari first thing, then Pangani Trail, then brft and FOTLK. Of course now with Pandora, some people want to stop there first to try and jump on rides, but we had afternoon FP for FoP, so did that area later, then Asia since we had RoL package from TH for evening and later EE FP.

How long is the breakfast? We are not really into the characters we just want to do the ROL Dining package.

Without characters, give yourself around an hour. The buffet is really good and an hour allows you to really enjoy it.

Brft is a buffet, so it is really up to you, if you are not into meeting all the characters(they are very cute in their Safari gear!) We usually spend about an hour and 15, and do take pics with the characters, but they come around while you are eating, so don't usually have to wait for them - they seem to rotate pretty efficiently there. We enjoy the food(DD loves the juice), so we take time to graze!

    1) Probably NOT.
    2) Tusker is now known for being well-behind on ADR times.
    3) And, for ADR's after 9:340am, it is getting worse-and-worse-and-worse.

NOTE: Disney, at many popular eateries has shrunk the time allotted per-table. This means more people can get ADR's, because so many people complained they could not get the time(s) they wanted. So, folks get the time, but have to wait 20-45 minutes past their ADR to be seated. Unless you have an early ADR at Tusker, plan upon waiting outside to be called ot be seated.
