Thanks for the info - my wife is a vegetarian (basically from birth as her parents brought her up that way) and finding a good variety of vegetarian options was not that easy when we were at WDW last year. We have taken the mid DP for our next visit in 2018 as we found that there were many more options with the TS venues than in the QS ones.

Anyone have suggestions for kid-friendly (almost 6 y/o) vegan snacks? We'll have the DDP. I've heard Dole Whip is an option, which is exciting!
    Thanks.

The soft Mickey pretzels are vegan, as is the popcorn--both available at numerous vendor carts in the parks.

I found cinnamon glazed almonds at a snack cart in Magic Kingdom that were vegan. Idk if that recipe (or vendor?) ever changes so you'll probably want to check ingredients for yourself (ask to see the binder) but they were served warm and with enough nuts to share. I was paying OOP but I definitely thought these would be a great value as a snack credit.

I read that LaFou's Brew in fantasyland is vegan. It's mostly frozen apple juice so it sounds tasty and safe, but I've not tried it for myself or seen the ingredients in person yet.

Mr Kamal's in Animal Kingdom has great stuff like samosas and hummus & pita. (AK is just generally -- and counter-intuitively -- the best side of Disney for vegans.)

Lots of venues have packaged grapes, apple slices, and even individually packaged dill pickles, if you're looking for healthier snacks.

Not a snack but I highly recommend Blaze pizza as a QS credit at Disney Springs, where the munchkin can get vegan cheese and customize their pie with their own toppings! Depending on the mealtime dynamics of your household, getting to make the toppings decisions without interference from a parent or sibling might be a real treat! Also healthier sodas, aguas frescas, and lemonades are available at Blaze and that might make mom happy after all the dole whip unhealthiness (it's awesome the dole whips are vegan, and I love `em, but nobody ever claimed they're good for us!)

At the end of the day though, my I-do-it-every-time-or-I-end-up-sad trick is make lots of reservations because very few kiosks in the parks have reliably vegan food, and order extra stuff from Amazon Prime Now or another grocery delivery service. If you look around, there are some great vegan snack products carried by some services. I'm counting the days until my next trip partly because my vegan jerky (Primal Strips) can be delivered to Disney hotels for much more reasonable prices than I can get it here in DC! :P

Good luck and have a great trip!

Thanks to both MisplacedUnderwear and Miffy. Glad to hear Mickey pretzels and cinnamon nuts could be good options (but we'll be reading all labels and binders to be sure!)

LiloFan3 -- Yes, it's always good to check. Disney changes ingredients and even seemingly up-to-date info on the Internet may turn out to be incorrect.

    Meanwhile, have a great trip!

Has anyone eaten at Ale & Compass? I'm looking at breakfast (or maybe lunch) to try the protein bowl... but wondering about the vegan sausage. With my mushroom allergy, fake meats are hit or miss. Any idea the brand? I know they've used Morningstar and/or Gardein for meat substitute in the past, think this would be the same?

MK - Be Our Guest - Ratatouille
DHS - Brown Derby - Noodle bowl (?) or Pho - not sure what's current
Epcot - we really love spice road table. It's kind of a dark horse but their olives & hummus are to die for. They also have grape leaves & I think a number of other options. I'm just veg, not vegan, but I think you'd have good success.
Not sure at AK. They do have a tofu noodle dish at Yak & Yeti - not sure if there's egg in the noodles. Tiffins also might have something!

On our last trip... this is where we ate in the parks.

MK - Be Our Guest, Skipper's Canteen, Crystal Palace
AK - Tiffins twice because we all liked it so much, Tusker House
HS - Sci Fi, 50's Primetime, Brown Derby.... we loved the Noodle dish here
EP - Chefs De France, Coral Reef, Biergarten, Le Cellier

All restaurants were accommodating if they didn't have something vegan/veg directly on the menu. Trust me we never left hungry.

Would you mind sharing what you had at Tiffins? We considered it for our next trip, but I hadn't found a vegan/veg review of it.

Let me try to remember... we had a few appetizers... the Bread Service, The Black Eyed Pea Fritters and a Side Salad.
For Main course it was a veggie curry.

My favorite is Jiko. They have a separate vegan menu. It may be my favorite restaurant in the world! (And not just "Disney World")

Needing a little reassurance. Will be dining with my vegan daughter at Trail's End in March. She's hoping we'll be there on a night with Chef TJ, but I think I've done a good job managing her expectations...but can anyone confirm, regardless of whether or not Chef TJ is there, there will be a Special Diet Chef that will prepare a vegan entree for her in addition to what can be found on the standard buffet?

The other chefs are really good at Trail's End as well. It won't be the same experience as Chef TJ, but it will still be a great meal!

Thank you for the reassurance. It was exactly what I needed and backs up what I have been telling her...if we're lucky he'll be there and if we're not they'll still make her something delicious. Thanks so much!

I find DHS to be the worst in terms of QS... more often than not I do a kids meal from one of the restaurants near ToT. That said, Backlot Express has a caprese sandwich that was pretty good, and ABC Commissary has a Mediterranean Salad that looks interesting.
