VWL resale

I noticed a VWL resale on the Timeshare Store Web page today. That's the first one I've seen. Looks like the resale market has expanded now to include that resort.

I saw 2 WLV resales on another site a couple of days ago, not one of the three usually thrown around here.

Dean,
I'm curious what the going resale rate is for VWL. What was the asking price on the couple you saw?

Here's a copy of a post I made recently to DVC Talk email group.
Try these as a start. I’ve omitted TUG, Jaki and Shontell’s site. Stroman has 2 WLV resales. All of the below have had DVC at one time or another except maybe Holiday. Almost all have a current listing for DVC. Stroman has 2 WLV listed. The floridavip is a free listing site as is the www.timeshares.com (sort of) though it wasn’t working correctly when I tried it. I hope this helps but I think the main ones will still be the 2 ones above. I would think that the others would be more likely to get a better price. I suspect that the ones that specialize in DVC have pushed the price up somewhat as they are in a position to do so and would have the largest influence on the market. Sharon Eden’s site (aol.com) and Lee Reid also seem to get a fair number of DVC. Century 21 (tri-timeshare) is hit and miss, good to buy from but not very good to sell through as they require an appraisal or listing fee (rip off). Coldwell and Stoman have a lot of listings but are hard to navigate and don’t give you that much info, you need to contact them. Good luck.

The ERA Stroman does not list info like purchase price, number of points or use year. They just list it then you contact them. It's hard to imagine one can get a good deal with the price per point of $72, the closing fee, etc. I suspect the seller just wants to get their money back minus the brokers commisions. To me, a savings of $2-3 pp wouldn't be enough to justify the hastle, especially if there's a loan involved. Then again, maybe there was a major problem and they need to sell. I find Stroman to be ok to work with as a buyer but I hear sellers are not so happy. If someone calls, please post the specifics.

Dean, great list, hopefully we will be starting to look for a resale at Boardwalk within a few weeks, this list is a great starting point along with the two obvious resale brokers.
