Walking to race start?

About 10 years ago I did the Goofy Challenge and walked to the start of the races from OKW. Does anyone know if that is still an option? I'm considering doing the Springtime Surprise races in April and would prefer to walk vs take a bus to the start.

It's not. There is no resort that is "walk to the start". Everyone has to go to Epcot and go through security. This has been the case for 5+ years at least.

Nope - we used to do the same - I believe they put a stop to it in 2014

Thanks for the replies! It was so nice a decade ago when the races started later and I could leave the room at 5:30am to get to the start. I also wish they'd bring back the 10pm races.
