NEWS 5/17: Late 2019 itineraries released - link in post #1 (2020 watch thread will start soon)

Following as we are looking forward to our first cruise while celebrating the in-law's 50th anniversary in late 2019.

I am hoping for more 10 and 11-night itineraries. We were on the 11 day Southern Caribbean cruise this year and 11 days is my sweet spot. It doesn't feel so short like the 7-day and it's just long enough that we all feel refreshed.

Yes, we did the Wonder's first 10-day southern Caribbean cruise and it was awesome. I'm hoping for another one we can afford with an itinerary of new places.

Following.

Next cruise is Star Wars Day at sea 1/27/18-2/3/18 on the Fantasy.

We will likely book a placeholder booking for the 2 year window while on board and are looking for a fall 2019 or Jan 2020 sailing next.

Watching for the West Coast sailings in 2019. We're planning a trip to DL and would love to incorporate a West Coast cruise before or after. Fingers crossed.

I'm looking to book our first cruise!! In may 2019 the spring bank holiday, hopefully around the Mediterranean I don't know if you know when to expect dates for this cruise to be released Thanks in advance.

According to recent releases my guess is late May will be released between February 15, 2018 and April 5, 2018. However, this is just an educated guess, no guarantee!

Ugh, that's still a llllllllloooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg wait!!! :worried:

following, would like to do a star wars themed one. Do they announce dates of themed cruises prior or as they release the itinerary?

This is the place where we can keep an eye out for the releases of the 2019 Disney Cruise Line itineraries.

It is difficulty to predict, when new itineraries will be released. Over the last few years, DCL seems to have adopted a pattern to release the new cruises in three batches:

  • "Winter": first cruise in the new year up to April/May (not including spring Panama Canal and Transatlantic)
  • "Summer": about May to August/September (not including fall Panama Canal and Transatlantic).
  • "Fall": September until the end of the year (ending with the last cruise starting in the old year).

The booking schedule has changed as of May 2017 and will go as follows

Day 1: Platinum Booking
Day 2: Gold Booking
Day 3: Silver Booking
Day 4: General public can book, cruises will be available over the internet

As was seen with the Fall 2018 release, which was the first one to follow the new schedule, the release date for information on the new itineraries was on a Thursday with booking starting for Platinum Booking on the following Monday.

On the booking days for Castaway Club members only booking via phone is available, no online booking. Online booking opens sometime in the morning of the general public booking day, usually a little before the phone lines open.

We usually had a thread going on the former booking day for Gold and Platinum Castaway Club members where those who have gotten info on prices when calling DCL can post their information for others to get an idea of what prices they have to expect. I hope we will continue this tradition, especially since there now will be three days of booking access only via phone with no ability to quickly check prices online.

Of course it is always possible that DCL changes it up! There have been different ways of releasing cruises (by ships, no early booking benefit for Gold and Platinum Castaway Club members, no announcement etc.).

But, looking at historic evidence from the 2015 through 2017 releases my guess (and that is all that it is!!!) would be the following:

Winter 2019: anytime between September 28, 2017 and November 9, 2017
Summer 2019: anytime between February 15, 2018 and April 5, 2018
Fall 2019: anytime between May 10, 2018 and May 17, 2018

I am platinum member and am never aware when I can book something before everyone else. How do I get that information?

Some people get emails from DCL, some don't. You will find the info posted here. Also, in recent years DCl always announced it on Facebook. So, if you follow the official DCL Facebook account, it should come up in your time line if you are on Facebook regularly. If you use a travel agent to book your cruises, you can let them know that you want alerts when new cruise itineraries are released.

Thank you. I wish I were one that received the emails

Our travel agent gives us the heads up as soon as they find out the dates and gives us the opportunity to put our request in ahead of time. That way I'm not stuck waiting on the phone LOL

based on cost & vacation budgeting, we're a "cruise every-other-year family".
July 2016 -7 day western Caribbean. July 2018 - we're booked for 7 day eastern Caribbean.
guess I'll be waiting for the 2020 Itineraries Watch. :-)

Another vote here for a 10-11 day Southern Carib! I would love to see one scheduled in early January, would definitely book a couple rooms on that!!
