What days does the Sunrise Safari take place for AKV club?

I have a 1 night, Sunday night, stay in January. How to I find out if the Safari is available?

There are no discounts available for the Sunrise Safari.

And Bobbi, don't forget about the Sunset Safari (Wanyama). For that you don't need to be staying concierge, and it included dinner. However, the savannas you tour are at the lodge, not the theme park.

You would need to check-in VERY early. IIRC, check-in for the Sunrise Safari began around 6 AM.

Will the hotel let you check in that early? I know you can check in before your room is ready, but is there a starting point? If you have a reservation for Sunday night, can you check in beginning at 12:01 on Sunday morning? And can you take the tour if you have not checked into the hotel yet?

I believe the tour meets at the Kilimanjaro Club concierge desk. I assume you can't get up there unless you have checked into the hotel (or are being walked up there by a cast member so that you can check in up there).

Note that they charge your credit card when this tour is booked. You have to cancel 48 hours ahead in order to get a refund.

You have to book the Sunrise Safari through IPO at Animal Kingdom lodge. This will be a question for them. I just booked this tour for our family of 4 yesterday for a Sunday but we check in 2 days before. IPO checks your room reservation before you make the reservation for the Sunrise Safari.

I was told yesterday I will receive an invitation to the safari the night before and we would meet 15 minutes before the tour started in the Kilimanjaro Club lounge. Our Safari time is 7 am.

The phone number for AK IPO is 1-407-938-4755. The hours begin at 9am not sure about end hours I can't remember from yesterday.

CM that helped me was wonderful and helpful. I am sure you will be accommodated, if you explain your situation. Yes, it is pre-pay up front with a 48 hour cancellation policy.

Please Call and ask IPO, they will have the best answer to your question.

We have done the Sunrise Safari on checkin day. Those of us doing the safari checked in down in the main lobby, received our gold keys and went up to the lounge to check in for the safari itself. We may have been escorted which is how it is normally done but I don't remember.

It is possible with Magic Bands that the entire thing will be expedited eventually.
