What do you buy that you can’t get in Canada?

If you go shopping while in the US, what do you buy that you can’t find in retail stores in Canada?

I used to buy Aleve and Flamin Hot Cheetos before they were available here. I also like the different flavours of Jell-O, like cheesecake.

I have a fairly long list that we check each time we go down:
- Blenheim hot ginger ale (Carolinas)
- Cheerwine (FL and the Carolinas)
- Moxie (New England only)
- Sierra Mist
- Polar orange/grapefruit soda
- Gluten Free Chex
- Grits
- Hominy
- PB Fit (dried peanut butter)
- dried hummus
- pickled jalapenos (Mt Olive)
- hatch chilies
- Publix kosher dill sandwich slices
- sticky fingers BBQ sauce
- Boar's Head Cajun Mayo sauce
- Campbell's Slow Cooker sauce pouches (also skillet and oven sauces now)
- Gluten Free Worcestershire sauce (Canadian and UK have gluten)
- Publix Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil (seriously the heaviest duty foil you will find; I probably have 6 rolls stocked in the pantry)
- really cheap generic ibuprofen and acetaminophen (Walmart/Target/Walgreens)

These are the things we look for every trip. We love hitting the grocery stores and find all kinds of other unique products to bring back and try; the above ones are the ones worth repeating. A normal trip has a fair bit of the back of the SUV filled with groceries.

We have gluten-free Chez here in QC!!

Hawaiian bread and sweet tea

I used to have a really long list but many of the items are now available in Canada or items that we have lost interest in.

Northwoods syrup
Hungry Jack pancake mix
Cheez-it mix
Pepperidge Farms cinnamon bread.....there are also season flavours which we get when available
Walmart brand ibuprofen
Crystal light raspberry lemonade
Good Seasons Italian salad dressing mix
Jiffy corn muffin mix
Diet Vernors soda
Chobani yogurt
Pillsbury Pumpkin muffin mix

I too love to browse the grocery stores in the US.

Hershey's chocolate bars!!!
Hershey's chocolate syrup
Hershey's chocolate chips
....seeing a pattern here?

I also like Great Grains cereal, which is different than any we get here.

Cheez It crackers, big bottles of Welches grape juice, yogurt (my kids love all the different flavours), Funions chips and Dunkin Donuts! We live about an hour from the boarder and we would visit once or twice a month, but with the dollar so bad, we only go a few times a year now.

When we used to rent a car, we would get Spicy V8 and any chocolate bars that are not available here. We would also sometimes go to Krispy Kreme as we don't have one locally.

We're about 4 hours from Great Falls, MT and/or Kallispell, WA, so on the rare occasion I can talk someone into going for a day trip, I like to just wander aimlessly in Target for a while, then I stock up on a few items I can't get here.

Kerrygold Irish Butter - sooooo good in my shortbread cookies for Christmas, but only sold in 1/2 lb bricks, so I stock up.
Jiff Whipped Peanut Butter
Famous Dave's BBQ Sauce
On the Boarder Salsa
Chef Shamy Garlic Butter

I also like to peruse the soup aisle (they have so many different kinds), the Jello aisle, as well as the cereal and snack aisles to see if there's anything new.

As many cases of Cheerwine I can fit when driving through the Carolinas..various chocolate bars (take 5/payday/100 grand) Dunkin Donuts coffee, cheap medicine from target/Walmart /Sierra Mist /Capri Suns/ any potatoes chip flavour we can’t get/ Cholula hot sauce because it’s about 1/2 the price/many different beers

- Gluten Free Pillsburry cake mix
- Gluten Free Worcestershire sauce (Canadian and UK have gluten)
- Gluten Free The Maine Pie Co
- Stonewall Kitchen blackberry jam
- Jiff Cashew Butter
- Pineapple Jello
- Lays Key Lime Chips (South Florida)
- 4th July colored Skittles, M&M and Jelly Belly

Edit to add: Weird Oreo flavors
