When does dining plan begin and end?

We are a large group and have the Disney Dining plan. We are trying to figure out when it begins and ends. For example, we arrive at our hotel in late afternoon so does our dining plan start when we check in or at the beginning of that day? We are trying to figure out if we need to book a table service dinner for that day as our plan has 1 per day or if we have a table service, quick service and 2 snacks for what really is just a partial day. Same on check out day as we are checking out do we have a table service, quick service and snacks for that day too? TIA.

its based on the nights of your stay - not the days

For Example - we are staying 14 nights/15 days

We will have 14 quick service, 14 table service, and 28 snack credits PER PERSON for our trip

You will have until midnight of your checkOUT day to use them all up

You will get them all in a lump amount at checkin - So it will be up to each individual person on how they want to use their credit.

Something to think about with a group that large since they will be all lumped together is to make a "dining punch card" with their total of QS, TS (If applies) and Snack credits - they can mark them off as they use them

I think it's a typo, but just to be clear for the OP - it's 14 QS, 14 TS, 28 snacks for a 14 night/15 day trip.

You are allotted 1 per night, but you don't have to use 1 every day. You can do two TS on one day and skip another day. You could just use snacks one day and not eat any meals.

As PP said, with a large group, you need to make sure everyone knows how the plan works and how many credits they have. If you're eating all your meals together, then it's easier, but you still need to understand the SNACKS. There was a report a few years ago of one person in a large group using ALL the snacks, because he assumed the system would stop letting him get them once HIS were gone. They do not belong to ONE person; they belong to the room.
