Hi Everyone,
We are thinking of planning a quick trip to Yosemite for our anniversary in July and would like to bring our new baby basset puppy, Charlotte, with us. She will be 5months when the trip comes along. We have found pet friendly lodging in a town called Groveland and she is already crate trained so that won't be a problem. I was looking for some insight on what it would be like to bring our dog into the park. Will she be welcome to enjoy a short hike with us? What parts of the park are they even allowed in? We looked online for some info but all we found is that dogs are not welcome in public buildings, accomodations, and on most trails. Does anyone have any advice on dog friendly activties we can all enjoy together? Any highlights from your past trips that we shouldn't miss? We would love to hear from anyone with some experience here since neither of us have ever been,
Thanks!:goodvibes

Other then the campgrounds Yosemite is kind of hard with a dog since they aren't allowed on the trails. You might be able to walk her around on the paved streets in the Valley and around the campgrounds. Keep her leash tight because there can be a lot of wildlife around.
You could take drive around the Valley and get out and take some photos, but of course you can't leave her in a hot car, so it would have to be quick. You could also drive to Glacier point and the high country and take in the sights. \
