I know I chose like 5 different music choices.

There was:
the seating of the guests music (I chose the disney love songs, for this one you have to choose like 10 songs or more)
seating of the mothers
music for the officiant, groom & BM (i'm sure also for groomsmen but we lacked those)
music for the MOH(and i'm sure bridesmaids-lacked those as well)
music for Bride & parents
recessional for when we all exited

If you are getting married at disney they send out a cd with choices for each of the categories. If not pm me and I will send you the info.

I did a mixture of classical music and Disney Music.

Guest Seating/Prelude: Mix of Disney songs

Mothers: Jesu of Man's Desiring

Groomsmen/Groom/Officent: Can You Feel the Love Tonight (Lion King)

Matron of Honor: Canon in D

Bride: A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes (Cinderella)

Sand Ceremony: Candle on the Water (Pete's Dragon)

Recessional: A Whole New World (Aladdin)

This is a church wedding. Non disney

I chose all Disney songs.

Groom processional: Can you feel the love tonight (Lion King)

Bride processional: Once upon a dream (Sleeping Beauty)

Recessional: Zip a dee doo dah (Song of the South)

You might find some ideas here:

? my mother passed away so it will just be dfi's mom(divorced) and his Dad and stepmom, so would his mom walk down then the his father and stepmom?

2. does the matron of honor and bestman walk down together or does the bestman just stand infront w/groom?

3. bridesmaids and groomsmen walk down together or single?

trying to figure this all out. This will be in a small church

Yes his mom would walk down then his dad and stepmom.

The groom, best man and groomsmen are already up front and the bridesmaids walk down the aisle single file then the maid/matron of honor, then the flower girls, then the bride. I have seen some weddings where the groomsmen walk the bridesmaids down but not often.

You can arrange the processional however you want! It doesn't have to be a certain way.

That's how I've seen it done, but I'd also ask her how she wants to do it! :)

Usually all the groomsmen walk down the aisle, ending with the best man and then the groom. Then all the bridesmaids walk down, ending with the MOH and the bride.

But I've also seen it where each groomsman escorts a bridesmaid and the BM escorts the MOH....

The last 3 weddings i went to the bestman was already at the alter at the start of the guest arrivals. I cant remember if the best man walked down with the matron of honor. Then the BM escorted with GM but i've seen the BM walk after flowergirl and ringboy, then the GM then the groom and bride.

And the mothers were already seated at the begining so they didnt walk down, just the bridal party walked down the asile .

The order of the processional can be done however you want. Everyone has slightly different ideas.

The entrance of the Officiant, Best Man, Groom, Mothers/Fathers etc can be very low key if that is what you envision and want guests to not notice those people going to the front.

It's really up to you! You might also ask the people participating in your wedding ceremony if they want to be in the spotlight or not.

Well my future MIL wanted to be in the wedding as a bridesmaid. We are only having our siblings so that would be weird to have her in it. I told dfi she can walk down before the the ceresmony starts before the flowergirl but itsn only fair that his Dad and step mom have the same option if they want. Dfi said he wants her sitting down with his nana. He said the less people the less to worry about, so we will see. Our time there will only be maybe 30 min before ceremony to decorate and get eveyone seated. Theres another wedding before ours and a saturday service after. We will only get 15 min for pics.

I think what i like so far is dfi at the alter(he also wants it that way), the priest, dfi's parents, bestman/maid of honor-together, flowergirl and ring boy together(or would they go before MH and BM?), then the BM/grooms as couples. then ME

dunno Future MIL and dfi's stepmom dont get along so not sure if MIL will want them walking down too. And having MIL and FIL walk together= forget it! LOL!

i found this right before our VR..i was thrilled the pianist played it for us..I used it for the processional and brides procession

Ben Fold's "the luckiest"
even though he played instrumental only, it was amazing..we also played it during the reception

You used Zip a Dee Doo Dah for your wedding? That is hilarious! How fun! What did your guests say?? lol

Yep...that's what we used! Well, the solo violin version! It fit perfectly for our casual, whimsical wedding.

It was just DH and me for our wedding so we weren't worried what the guests would say!;)

dfi likes both of these but said the Kelly one sounds nice.

Canon De Pachelbel (pachelbel)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wpPk8qk3uQ

Now to figure out what for when the guest are being seated. Our families are down to earth laid back people. Just to get an idea
this is the type of music that will be played at our reception
old school
funk from the 70's
some top 40/hop hop
some oldies from 70's
lil bit of salsa
some cumbia
no disco from the early 90's, no hardcore rap and no techno
we're hispanic but more americanized

so Kelly would be nice but i also like the Canon De Pachelbel (pachelbel) .

My wedding will be a mix of eighties hits, early nineties hits, and some oldies.

..and of course some classic disney music.

No country, rap, or mainstream junk. Music has gone straight downhill IMO.

I am kinda worried about the "no country music" rule I have. I am from NC, and that's where the wedding is located. A lot of my Dad's side of the family loves it, but I just never had a taste for it. I know you are supposed to entertain your wedding guests- but that's the LAST thing I want to hear on my day....

i hear ya. I figure I'm telling the dj he can play 2-3 disco or salsa songs each and thats it! There are a few people that request a lot of that at the family parties.

I'm getting so excited!

I'm a Music Director at an alternative radio station. My taste is "eclectic" at best, "crazy" at worst.

I'm going down the aisle to the instrumental version of "Answer" by Sarah McLachlan. I bought the sheet music and transposed it for piano and violin. This is "our song" and it's just such a gorgeous instrumental melody, I had to have it.

The Recessional is "At My Most Beautiful" by R.E.M. This is Rob's present to me. I'm a bit of an obsessive R.E.M. fan... over 1,000 songs out of my 8,000 song MP3 library are by them. Go to all the concerts.. dream of Michael Stipe... yada yada.. yeah I love them. And this has been going on since I was 13. So he told me I could have an R.E.M. song in the ceremony. I chose this one, because it's really the only R.E.M. love song. As with the other song, I got the sheet music and transposed it. I really wanted "Shiny Happy People" but got rejected on that one. The lyrics of this song are really "us"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVhm0ePCjis

The other songs are all classical standards.
Guests - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik Andante, Clair de Lune, Arabesque, Prelude in C, etc.

Mothers - The Four Seasons Winter Violin Concerto

Groom's Entrance: Canon in D

Now the pre-reception music is going to be completely big band.
Sing Sing Sing, Take the A Train, A String of Pearls, Moonlight Serenade, Little Brown Jug, and what I want to be introduced to: In the Mood!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJE-onnw2gM

Now the reception is completely different. Up to this point I've kept it in instrumentals. We're having a DJ, and let me at it!

What I don't want is a much shorter list:

Gangsta Rap, Most Boy Band stuff (except New Kids.. my first favorite group - gotta respect!), Twangy Country. Heavy Death Metal.

And I'm still over a year out! Watch this change! lol!!

Thats funny about the zip-a-dee-doo-da my df wants to definitely use that for the exit!!
