Zumba?

I know there are pilates, yoga, and other classes available? Does the Magic offer a Zumba class?

Oooh I wish they would add some Zumba classes onboard. I'm such a fanatic and it would be such a great way to motivate myself to keep working out on vacation.

I just heard that Royal Caribbean is starting to offer it onboard, which I am COMPLETELY psyched about! I just hope the ship I'm going on next month definitely has it. But because of its popularity, I bet other cruise lines will follow also. Zumba rocks!

Zumba is a blast. It's more of a dance/group exercise class with all kinds of fun music. Our instructors at my gym use variety of music - Latin and African rythms as well some Hip Hop style beats. It is an amazing cardio workout (burns lots of calories) and "booty-shaking" fun.

Yeah I like that one too...that's the VERY first song our gym ever did for Zumba way back when! So get this...you all prob know who Tanya Beardsley is (well maybe not you Auntie SeaSpray ). She's in this video...one of the master teachers of Zumba: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf0q6qtThF4 Anyway, she is coming TO MY GYM to teach a class, then the next day she is holding a course to be a Certified Instructor. And just GUESS where I'll be during those very days?? ON A CRUISE!!! I know I know...I shouldn't be complaining but GEEZ every single time I plan a vacation something important comes up on the same dates. I wanted to become certified so I can hold classes in a school gym for others. But there's a class in NYC is May that I'm going to see if I can get into. But man....it's going to be right in my backyard and I won't be here. If anyone knows how HARD it is to get into these classes, you'd understand. But then again this is my life story! lol
