Cheap and Easy Casserole...

Cook aprrox 3-4 cups fo rice - mix in a large can of cream of mushroom soup (you don't cook it) - add 3-4 cans of tuna fish (drained well) - add a can of mushrooms (if desired) - mix in a cup or so of shredded cheddar - put in preheated oven (350) for about 15 to 20 minutes (just enough to warm it up)

Boy, this recipe brought back fond memories..we lived on this when we first got married. I used to add some frozen peas to it to change it up a bit.:bride:

5 Minute Pot Roast

I crockpot roast (I use rump roast)
2 cans cream of mushroom soup (I use the lowfat version)
1 package of Lipton Onion Soup mix
1 bayleaf (optional, but adds good flavor)

Put roast in crockpot
Add 2 cans of soup
Add 4 cans of water (do not mix up though)
Pour dried soup mix over the top
Turn crockpot on low and let cook all day on low. When you get home, you will smell it the minute you walk in the door. The meat will just pull apart and be very tender

Serve over rice (make a few cups of Minute Rice on the stove), and warm up a bag of frozen veggies. You have an awesome tasting easy meal. Even my picky eaters love it.

Mix up batch of cornbread with onions.
Cook pd. hamburger meat.
put layer of uncooked cornbread in a baking pan.
next layer cooked ground beef
slice velvetta cheese place on top of meat
place rest of cornbread mixture on top.
Bake until brown.

Cabbage rolls without the rolling
Mix about 1 to 2 cups of cooked rice (do to your preference) with a pound of leaner hamburger, salt and pepper to your liking (or I prefer Cavander's Greek Seasoning) and a small to med onion finely chopped. In separate bowl, mix 2 cans of tomato sauce with about a tablespoon or two Worchestershire. In crockpot, layer a third of a small cabbage (I just slice it up). Then a layer of meat mixture. I pour tomato mixture and Greek Seasoning (or Salt and Pepper) over every layer. I usually get 3 layers of cabbage and two of meat. Prefer to cook high for an hour or two and low the rest of day, but if start early in day, can cook low all day.

A big favorite in our house. My kids love this casserole. My dd calls it the yummy cabbage casserole! :rotfl:

tuna helper with a bag of frozen peas and carrots thrown into it while cooking. Makes a yummy dinner.

I'm trying a chicken tortilla casserole in the crock pot right now. If its good I'll post it here for you.

Quick and easy "lasagna"

Brown hambuger or ground turkey with onions and garlic, drain fat
add 1 large jar of your favorite sauce, I add brown sugar to sweeten the sauce
use cheese ravioli and layer in a 13 x 9 pan, spoon hamburger/sauce mix over it
sprinkle with shredded cheese, repeat layers. Bake at 350 until cooked thru
fast and easy lasagna, and cheap if you can get the ravioli and meat on sale!

This sounds yummy! I'm definitely going to try this one. Do you use frozen ravioli? or fresh?

brown 1lb. ground beef, drain. add 1tsp. of brownsugar and a can of tomatoe soup to the beef and mix together. Poor into the bottom of a cassarole. Top with a layer of cheese slices. I use velvetta pre-sliced ones. Boil a half bag of egg noodles and drain. Mix noodles with a can of cream of chicken soup and spread over the top of the beef mixture. Cover and bake for 30 minutes at 350. This is my families favorite cassarole. It sounds strange, but is wonderfull on a cold night with cornbread muffins and a lettuce salad.

Here is recipe I got from the latest Kraft Foods magazine that just came this week. (they have amazing and simple recipes, sign up if you get a chance at kraftfoods.com) I just made it this week and it was really good, the 1st time in a long time we have completely emptied the dish.

1-1/2 cups KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided

BAKE 15 min. Top with salsa and remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Bake, uncovered, an additional 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

Anyone have a tator tot casserole recipe? (I am VERY cooking challenged so please spell it out like you were talking to a toddler :lmao: )

I have not tried this recipe yet but people at work rave about it. Thought I'd share!

1 lb hamburg
16 oz bag coleslaw mix
2 cans tomato soup (or 1 can tomato; 1 can cream of mushroom)
1 small onion
1 cooked rice

Simmer meat and onion lightly. Add cooked rice. Use a large casserole dish. Add layers of coleslaw, rice and meat mixture; continue alternating layers. Dilute soup with 1 cup water. Pour over mixture in casserole. Cover casserole and bake at 375 for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cook 1 cup macaroni noodles in boiling water.
Cook 4-6 strips of bacon in a frying pan until crispy.
Remove bacon and set aside.
Stir one can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken Soup into hot bacon grease.
Drain macaroni and put into casserole. Add soup/bacon grease mixture. Stir well.
Top with 1/4 c. shredded American or Cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
Bake 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and casserole is hot.

Bad for you, but soooo good, especially on a cold day.
Excellent with a big cold glass of milk.

Not a casserole, but a good crock pot recipe. Sounds gross, but very good!

Tender crock pot pork

Place pork (chops, small roast cut into 2, loin...) into crock pot. Pour over 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup ketchup and a splash or two of worsteshire sauce. Let cook all day on low. Pork will come out slightly pink, and will look kind of weird, but will be extremely tender and tasty!

Bumping, Mmmm. Mmmm. Good..............

You guys are killing me!!!

I used to make casseroles like this all the time. I can't eat any of it now due to my dairy allergy. No butter, cheese, cream soups or sour cream for me. :sad1:

Anyway......I used to make the Ravioli Lasagna mentioned above. If I had leftover meatloaf, I would crumble that up to use instead of making more ground beef. I used frozen ravioli's that I would buy on sale.

All this crock pot talk makes me want to use mine today. I'm going to go check out the recipe book and see what I can come up with.

My kids LOVE this one, and it really is VERY easy....

1lb ground beef
2 pkgs of Mr. Noodles (chicken flavour is our fave)
2cups veggies (your choice)

Use the seasoning of one of your Mr.Noodles, and cook your meat.

When your meat is done, add dry noodles (crushed up), 2cups water and veggies (frozen or fresh)

Bring to a boil, cover, and wait 5min.

PS I think in the states, you all call these Ramen noodles???

Easy Crockpot Chili:

1 lb. browned ground beef
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 can chili beans
1 can kidney beans
1 packet taco seasoning

Combine in crockpot and cook on high for 3-4 hours, or low all day.

Serve with tortilla chips and lettuce, cheese, and sour cream for taco salad.:)

Not everyone loves this, but my family is OK with it and it is really fast, easy and cheap.

brown some burger with onions and celery if desired. Add a can of cream of mushroom soup, some milk, pepper and any additional seasoning desired. Add precooked egg noodles and a can of corn...stir and enjoy.

My Mom used to make this all the time. I grew up in Green Bay, but my grandma was from the UP... Love it!! Thanks for bringing back the memories!:yay:

CHICKEN AND RICE
½ stick margarine
¾ cup rice
1 tbsp of grated onion
2 chicken bouillon in 1 ¾ cup water
salt & pepper
cooked chicken

Combine all ingredients in casserole and cook uncovered for 30 minutes at 350. (I think it usually takes longer).

Sometimes I add a can or jar of mushrooms. Drain them and use the liquid in place of some of the bouillon.

This tastes even better the next day, so sometimes I will make it while I'm cooking another dinner and then we'll heat it up the next night.

Johnny Mazetti

1lb ground beef fried and drained
1 large can of tomato juice
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
velvetta cheese (I use about half of a large one, I like mine cheesy)
add cooked egg noodles and Voila. This has always been a favorite and the best thing is the leftovers. It actually taste better the next day.
