The charge hit my card for the cake today. It was $68.56...A little more then what I thought it would be, but since it was lactose free, I can't complain.

If I ever figure out how to upload pictures, I will post it. I was really nice!

We had two cakes last week (one at CRT dinner and the other at LeCellier) and we just gave the rest that we couldn't eat to the CM's to take back to their break rooms. In both cases we ordered the vanilla cakes with vanilla buttercream icing and I didn't think they were that great. I guess I am spoiled by a local lady who makes my cakes here at home that are incredible.

Anyone happen to remember/know where this cake was ordered?
I'd like something very similiar for our wedding cake in October.

Also, & this may have been answered previously, but my eyes have glazed over trying to read t all, my FMIL & myself will both be celebrating our bdays while @ WDW. We will not be staying on-site for all of our trip and have planned a dinner at our condo to celebrate them both. Are there any of the resort bakeries where you can order a custom cake and pick it up to take home? I really don't want the run of the mill Publix or WalMart cake, I want something really good, special and Disney-ish for it.
I thought I read the Boardwalk Bakery would do it, but then I got confused half way thru the thread.

We need to do some investigating! ;) I can tell it is from a deluxe resort. Does anyone recognize the pattern on the chair??

I know for sure that GF, Boardwalk and BC/YC can do the Mickey statue (and maybe some other resorts that I don't know about). I'm thinking it might be GF because of the appearance of the Mickey statue (the gold trim). My choc Mickey statue from the Boardwalk didn't have the gold trim.

Hopefully, someone can help you!

Forgot to mention, I have my own cake topper, so I wouldn't need that part. I just like the way the cake is decorated. I have my Mickey & Minnie topper that I ordered from Disney a few months ago. :thumbsup2

Wonder if that $100 (or almost) included the Mickey topper they had....
Since we are having our dinner that night at GF, looks like that may work out great. :dance3:

The Mickey statue alone is $25. At least that is what I paid for it at the Boardwalk.

Will they give you like a bakery box, so if you get one that isn't immediately perishable (i.e. no whipped cream topping) you can keep it in your room a couple days?

Is there a page in the thread that has updated prices or anything?

I'll be getting mine at AKL? You can get a basic cake there yes, you don't have to get the zebra dome, do you? Thanks.

I talked to a very nice CM named Jodi. I am getting the 6in cake from CG and they are going to put the castle on it and write Happy anniversary on it. The cake is 12.50 and the castle is 15.00

Does anyone know if you can order a cake for CRT and have the slipper placed on top?

At CRT they put ours in a bakery box so we could take it back to the room.

We've bought the miniwedding cake at the GF and at the Boardwalk Bakery.
I have't heard much mention of the Boardwalk Bakery... are they will making the mini cakes?
I love that it's a perfect replica of our wedding cake :)

I'd like to order a cake for my DD's 4th birthday. We'll be at 'Ohanas. Do I call 'Ohanas or Poly Private Dining? I'd like a character cake if possible or something else unique, but no chocolate cake.

5/29/07: DINE: New "Cake Hotline" for Guests requesting celebratory cakes at most Table Service dining locations. The Cake Hotline number is 407-827-2253 and requires 48 hours notice.

Guests may request a 6-inch cake(non-personalized) upon arrival at the podium for $12.50+tax (no advance notice required).

I just called and it seems like now you can order a cake at almost any resort for their restaurants.

I absolutely love this cake. We will be at GFC one of the days and I think I will order this one for both of us. We will be celebrating our 3rd together(not engaged or married) and both of our birthdays mine 40th and his 30th WHOOO!!

Thanks for sharing.

OMG 4orm your cake is wonderful :) I'm orderig a cake like that too, but it's a 6", 4", 2", with a yellow buterflies on it and pink and blue trim. What was the cost of you cake if you remember, and is it a 4", 2"?

That is absolutely beautiful!
Hmm, maybe I'll rethink the cake I want to order for our wedding night dinner.
How much did this cake cost?
Wonder if they could leave the flower on top off so I could still use my Mickey & Minnie cake topper...... :confused3

Thank goodness we already had planned on a GF restaurant for that night. :thumbsup2

If you've gotten custom cakes from anywhere in WDW before, did you get really nervous that 1. It wouldn't come out right or, even worse, 2. When you arrived, it wouldn't be there?

I ordered a 6" customized cake from GF Bakery for when we dine at Narcoossee's in July, and the CM made it sound like she knew exactly what she was doing and was friendly, but I can't help but worry that it will be messed up or not there at all! Should I call a week or 2 in advance to re-confirm all my plans for the cake or what? I'm just so worried! :confused3
