Must write my Christmas list out and get thinking.:rotfl2: We're off to WDW at the end of November and I want everything bought by then.

Well I have 2 days off before 4 more 12's and talking on the boards more has gotten me more excited about the cruise :cool1:

Going in a bit to fabric store to get some material to try and concoct some form of fish extender, very limited here on the sewing and craft skills so we'll see what I can do_Ordered our lime green tees too.

DH and I were looking at DL hotels as we want to say for 3 days there and then were going to Vegas for 4 days and fly home.My boss flipped when I gave him my slip for 27 days off but ive been saving my PTO for awhile to do that .
I saw someone was going to stay at Candy Cane inn, anyone else staying anywhere? We just cant decide on one. Looking for one with nice pool as I think Sunday when we get in we'll lounge around get our land legs and then go to the parks Mon and tues and head to vegas on wed. Anyone else up for Vegas for a few days, they have the kids quest there in some of the casinos, its almost like the ship. You check them in and they have a huge playground and games and they give you pager and its $5.50 and hour or so. When we lived there bethany loved it.
ok im starting to get like Holly with the rambling LOL

We LOVE the rambling....so just continue to keep it up....although Holly and V are best at it.....you have to go some to catch up with those Pros. Ha Ha Ha Ha...

We, DH and me, and doing the same exact thing as you're doing....hitting LA for a few days and then moving on to Vegas baby!!!! We're staying on the ocean in LA until Friday morning then driving to Vegas for Fri and Sat then taking the red eye out on Sat night back to the East Coast. Maybe we could meet up and share drinks somewhere on Friday night??? or Dinner??? or both???

Marilyn and someone else, I forget who, are staying at the Candy Cane Inn...so you could ask them all about it!

How cool that you lived in Vegas....you'll have to give us some tips on what to do there!!! It'll be our first time.popcorn:: :rolleyes1 popcorn::

I love Autumn(fall), but I'm not ready for it just yet!:sad1:

Me too, although it's funny, everytime a new season comes I find myself saying I love X season! I do love fall evern though in FL there is no definite distinction aside from kids going back to school and decorations changing!

This xmas is going to be light on the gift giving. I tend to go overboard so I will have to keep myself in check. The girls will be getting Disney Dollars and probably stuff for they can use on the trip and some art supplies. They have too many toys as it is. John - I'll get him cruise clothes and probably a new grill, he needs one bad!

For the family, I would like to do something together instead of all the adults buying gifts. We all have everything we need and we just end up with more dust collectors. I need to come up with something and get everyone on board!

That's cool you are hitting Vegas...I wish DH and I had more time to take and funds too!:lmao:

Each year I say I am going to cut down but I find it hard. We have never gone overboard with how much we spend, but with 8, as of next month, grandchildren and their parents to buy for it is a problem. I have managed to cut down on friends' presents.

If you don't feel like making your own fish extender, Pahrumphgirl made a whole load for us early on, and I know is up for making more. They are excellent.

Thanks for that suggestion, I went to fabric store and looked like a lost soul and didnt know where to begin :lmao:
I will pm pagrumpgirl and see if she has any or can make one.

Now, 5122 is YOUR cabin right?? Then that is special.

Still GTY for May - I rather think the Cat 6's will be the last to be allocated, though as they have been selling the odd one they are not overbooked, so they should be able to allocate now! Well I think so anyway. Can't believe they don't realise we NEED to know!:lmao:

YES 5122 is MY cabin and I can't wait to be back there!

I just checked again and I'm still a GTY for this cruise also. Yes, they should no how much we NEED to know right now and confirm us a room already...I'm getting very impatient.

I told John that if we ever won the Lottery and hit it big....my permanent address would be 5122 on the Magic. I would just live there and go anywhere the ship was going. That's my ultimate fantasy!
:flower3:  :flower3:

Would love to meet there for dinner or something. Im going there in 2 weeks for a tournament , which will be nice little getaway.
I truly love Las Vegas and living there but the hospitals were horrible to work at. I took a year nursing contract there to be closer DH family in Ca and it was horrible. The hospitals are all understaffed and it seems like all you see is drug addicts and drunks. So we packed up and came back to Florida.I think someday we might retire there though.
What hotels were you looking at in Vegas?
Sorry to read about your health problems, will keep you in my prayers.

If you think Holly rambles now , wait till you see her after a few beers:lmao:

We stopped doing the adults and just do the kids. For the adults, we would do a token gift, like an ornament for the tree, something inexpensive. Then the kids get all the gifts. Except that now all the kids, grands and nephews, are teens and mostly we throw money. It's too hard to know what they really want. So Christmas has become easier each year.
:dance3: :cheer2: :dance3:

Would be interested as I believe it is $84 or something for a taxi!

Wow that is alot.:scared1: I will look into it then. Actually DH is now interested in helping plan and it was his idea. I will ask what he has found out so far.

Anyone else? The more the merrier.

We're already booked and paid for at the Luxor...I just couldn't resist the pyramid. I want to ride the elevator. We have a car rental, so we'll be able to get to some other sites to check out as much as we can. Where do you suggest dinner and drinks?

Sorry to read about your health problems, will keep you in my prayers.
Thank you, that's so nice!

Actually, I can't wait....it's going to be a lot of fun!

The Luxor is nice. I have stayed there too. Your going to ride in the "slantavator" as they go sideways and not up and down.
Well the Excaliber is next door and they have the "Tournament of Kings" dinner show which is awesome . Been to the one here and the food and show is definitly better in Las Vegas . If your not into that , there are tons of good food places. I love the Rio too, they have the parade in the sky, where you can ride on a float over the casino and throw beads and wave for 10 bucks and you get your picture taken.Sounds like I should be a tour guide:lmao:

Quite looking forward to that time, though seeing the children open presents is nice at the moment!!

Scottishwee and her friends are supposed to be booking there too, but not heard yet.

$84 for a taxi to where?

Port to DL. Not sure if it was correct, but I did read it somewhere.

They both sound awesome....let's do whichever one is your favorite! I can't wait to ride the slantavator and go sideways...what a trip!!!!

I can't wait for this vacation, we're going to meet so many friends who have now become more like family and we're going to have the time of our lives!!!! :cutie:

I guess compared to everything we are spending for this cruise $84 is a drop in the bucket even though it's a lot of money!
