Whew! :cool1: I just finished reading each and every post on this thread.... all 310 pages. :surfweb: That said, I can't believe I still have a couple of questions!

1. According to the room map, there are a few king rooms that are not handicapped. My TA has told me that ALL king rooms are handicapped. Is this true? Has anyone stayed in a king (handicap or standard) room? Do you have any pics?

2. What airlines participate in the Magical Express? Do the CM's assign your room when you check in the ME at the airport or when you actually get to the hotel? Is this an appropriate time to make room requests?

3. A little while back there was a discussion about the boxes of doughnuts that Everything Pop sells. Does anyone know if they sell Entenmann's Raspberry Twist Danish?

Thank you all for this amazing thread (and site!). popcorn:: I have learned so much. :thumbsup2 DH and I are checking into the Pop on January 24. :yay:

The only one of your questions I can answer is about the room requests! You would not make any requests at the airport. Save them for when you actually check in at the resort. Hope you have a great stay at Pop! Those raspberry twists in your picture look delish!

Not sure on the King rooms.

Look up Magical express on the WDW official site, OR on the transportation board on the DIS. They have a complete list. You can use Magical Express no matter what airline you fly on, but only a few let you print your boarding passes and check your luggage right at Pop for your return trip.

Make your room requests NOW, or whenever it is you make your reservations. Prioritize them. "First we would like a King room, in the 1950s, near Classic Hall" or whatever floats your boat.
They will note them on your paperwork, which will be sent to Pop Century room assigners a few days before you arrive.
You may also remind them of your requests when you check in.

I KNOW there were no danishes/coffee cake, because I would have been all over that. There were mini glazed and variety packs of donuts. :goodvibes

Happy Planning!

I know SWA had ME but we had to load our luggage on the return trip. Some airlines load it for you! I agree about the Entennmans I only saw variety or mini donuts! We were told by the front desk that MOST of the King beds were handicapped , which would mean some weren't !!

Both times I stayed at Pop they only had the donut variety pack and no coffee cakes. I do know that some of the other resorts had different entenmans but not sure which.

Definately let them know your requests now. It's rumored the y assign rooms about 3 days before you arrive. Some even fax in their request a few days ahead as areminder.

Yep, that's what we did. I made a room request with Disney reservations months before and then faxed a request to POP about 4-5 days before our check-in date. We got exactly what we wanted. Ground floor, 60's, lake view and it was a standard room! We were very close to the main building & pool, yet quiet b/c we were facing the lake. Good luck!

last year when I did laundry it was early evening...it was busy but I did get a washer...I would say if your a eary morning person you might have the place to yourself.

but there are washers/dryer by each of the pools..

I was closest to 60's..so that might be why it was so busy...b/c of it's central location...

I'll be there next week and plan on doing laundry early one morning so i'll let you know how it went

Another laundromat station is in the 50's near the Bowling Pin pool. Look for the giant bowling shoes. We were there in January late afternoon (our day off) and had the place to our selves, of course it was in January.

As of 10/27/07 the Food court hours were 6am to 12am. We called 2 days before we arrived to put in our request for our room and when we arrived at check-in they had that request and we got what we wanted. We, DH and I stayed in the 60's standard 4th floor facing the lake and it was so quiet that I did not know if anyone was around us. Saw the fireworks from Epcot one night, (and would have seen Wishes also, but missed it)from where our room was. Room 4438. It took about 4mins to get to the food court and we took the elevator. We bought a box of donuts with a snack credit yesterday and took it home.
Any other questions . ask me, I might know.

Well now hearing that the preferred rooms ARENT the ones facing the lake my hubby wants me to send a request in to get one facing the lake and nm the preferred part. He wants me to request the room you guys were in Pegryfun. I cant seem to find the map with the rooms at POP can anyone tell me where the 60s building is. 4 minutes is nothing to get to the food court.

The resort map is on the first page of this thread and the diagram showing how the rooms are numbered is on the second page.

We stayed in Pop 60's 4th floor rear but ours were preferred Next time I'll get standard but same general area .Lakeside is so quiet!! We also got boxes of donuts with snack credit. Made a great breakfast for 5 of us!!

Our room was a standard room. It was behind the Play Doh icon. When you come out of the Classic Hall back door heading to the Hippy Dippy pool, you go down the steps , bear to the right of the pool to the Play Doh icon where there are 2 elevators. Go up to the 4th floor, make a left , then a quick left again, then a quick right, go all the way down passing about 10 rooms , ours was the 2nd to the last room #4438. The walk was less then 5 minutes and that is taking the elevators, but I do walk kind of fast. Hope that helps. Have a great time, we did, everything went so well there.

HI, do you still have the fax or phone number?

Thanks, Susan

Another Buckeye here!

 I feel like a zombie after reading all these pages! (well okay...I skipped approximately pages 100-200). Anyways, I started taking notes at page 200 to consolidate and categorize all the great questions and answers out there. I have 7 full pages in Word, and that doesn't count much of what Tyler has provided us with in Post #1. I'll certainly look into if it might be helpful to have a new thread opened or if Tyler (or another moderator) might be able to pop this info to the top of this thread.

In the meantime, I am still left with a question. Are the safes activated by your KTTW card? I'm usually on the DCL thread, and I know that on the ships, the safes can be opened by any magnetic card, so it's often a good idea to bring a library card or grocery store card so you're not tied down to one particular KTTW card to open/close the safe.

O-H!

I-O!!!

no they have a regular key that remains in the lock until you take it out..
