Okaaaayyyy, and this is significant, WHY???:confused3

Funny to see the different places though. I guess I never thought about Philadelphia having bad teeth, vs. Yonkers, NY having good ones!:rotfl:

The only maintenance my face gets is ProActiv. It works for me.

No contacts. Laser Vision correction in 2003. Best money EVER!!!!!!!

I wish that I could do this... however, my prescription is higher than they will usually do, and I have something else funky (can't remember exactly what, but so I have been told) that makes it not really a viable option.

I actually wear hard (gas permeable) contacts, for the same reasons as above.

Hey cool! We are the 3rd best teeth!

So, I don't carry a purse either. I have a wallet (which is Lodis, whatever that is), and a Kenneth Cole rolling laptop bag. I don't usually carry the wallet, even, just the little drop-in w/ my id and check card. It fits even in "skimpy" clothes.

We do, however, have snooty luggage. :snooty: Mr Kat manages a luggage store, so we have a complete set of Swiss Victorinox, that we mostly got free.

Hey I wear gas perms as well. I'm right there with you, I hope one day to be able to do the surgery

Makeup - my mom just turned me onto Bare Minerals WOW. I love the powder. It is wonderful, looks great and is so easy to do. I tried it because she sent it to me and am hooked now

Polar watch - I have the F6, it is light pink :) It is bigger than the F4 that many women have but it has more options and you can download your workout information to your computer to keep track of things. It is pretty awsome.

I love my Odessy, it is heaven! I had a Town and Country for 11 years and really started to not like it. This is like night and day and it is so comfortable.

I a little dizzy today so off to get some food and see if that helps.

Are you questioning my posts?:rotfl:

It isn't significant. I was bored and trying to not work. (I work harder at not working than if I'd just work.)

I like a clean tooth. And a couple people on this thread are represin'.

Kat - Raleigh
Dawn, Grumps, MamaBearJodi - Minneapolis
Jeff Gordon - Charlotte
Me - Lubbock Texas:laughing:

Fo Shizzle, My Tizzle:teeth:

I get it, tootin' yer own horn, huh?!?!:lmao:

Well, the closest place to me on that list is Yonkers, NY, but even that is over an hour away, so I guess I'm not on any list, good or bad. But my teeth ARE clean--I wouldn't have 'em any other way!!

When we are in Minneapolis this summer, I'll have to take note of the teeth I see!

I have the Bare Minerals... I like it a lot, but lately have gotten back to the liquid (I think it is CG). I was noticing a lot of eye discomfort from the powder overspray.

Is it Friday yet?

And DWD, you slay me. :lmao:

I am back...just getting all caugfht up...we had to bring the car in and get a loaner while fighting with them to fix everything...

DH son Zac is doing well with his broken arm he even went turkey hunting in Mobridge SD with his dad last week. They came home with 6 turkeys, I don't want turkey again until Thanksgiving. You can only eat so much of it, I did make turkey noodle soup tonight. He sees his doctor on Monday and I think he will start therpy.

Hey Gang--

Just off the phone with Dawn and she is on her way to the hospital. Kidney problems again. She thinks that she will just be treated and released tonight, so let's all hope and pray that is the case.

She said that she would get numbers and results posted tomorrow...I told her not to even think about it.

She said that she will either call or post tomorrow, so we will have an update one way or the other.

:grouphug: Hugs to you, Dawn!

OH MY. You are one busy mama.

Yes, you'll need an email address, but you have one. Remember, I use it:goodvibes. It's just to set up your main information. After that, all you'll need is a user name and password. (I just signed up the other night. Not painful at all.) (ohh, and it's fun. except, I don't have "instant messaging etiquitte" down and you type and hit enter. Posted for your buddies to see. I don't have 20 minutes to edit all the stuff I shouldn't say:scared1: )

Hi Guys -

SOoo, i'm so not fashion forward, I don't have a VB, however, i have a vb knock off, does that count? :confused3

Everyone wish me luck, my team has a lunch meeting today.... at Cheesecake Factory :scared1: ***make good choices good choices good choices***

I hope everyone has a great day (and Dawn, i hope you are home and feeling better!!!! )

I would love to get an Odyssey and if the pending job becomes a reality we will look into getting a new one. Nothing says soccor mom like a hip minivan.

You are definitely headed towards the ballet/soccer mom persona. That's Ok I am right there with you being that I am turning into a gymnastic mom. Not really but I do hang with them once a week and chat about kid stuff.

I am going online at lunch today to see what VB bags I like and how much $$ I need to save to treat myself. I will let you know how that turns out.:rolleyes1

No make-up no worries!! I am sure you look gorgous without it anyway.

Kat and Erika, I added you to my AIM buddylist.

Well I have to head to a different building so I won't be back until this afternoon. have a good one everyone. Oh yeah, our family car (Honda Accord) died on us last night and we just found out it needs a new transmission. My lord that is expensive :faint: What can you do?? We are driving a crappy rental until ours is fixed.I shouldn't complain since the repair shop is covering the cost of the rental. My other car is a 2 seater Honda Del Sol. Not a particularly practical car for a family of 4 but I love it. It is old and showing some wear and tear but it is my "fun" car since it is a convertible and it helps lessen the pain of purchasing a minivan.:lmao:

OMG, Kim, car death sucks!!! Yuck! And takes all that Vera Bradley money away! Ugh.

Okay, so I know you keep floating this and I keep letting it be, but, the third kid? Is this still in the decision making process or is it a definite three? Did you know three is the new status symbol??? It is! Three kids says, well at least in Manhattan (I read this in the NY Times, I think) that you can afford the bigger apartment, the bigger car, the more expensive vacation. Three is the new two! Actually, I think three is nice. Everyone I know has three - a lot of the preschool moms, my cousin, etc. But don't listen to me, I only have one! (so far).

I'm parkerluce on AIM - add me, too!

Hola everybody! I wasn't hiding yesterday. I was working on my, err, I mean my daughters 6th grade conservation project. (At least she stuck the information to the board.;) )

So how did it turn out???

I don't remember, what's the deal with your inlaws? (Or, am I on a NTKB?)

Honey, there ain't no such thing with me! I will post this separately when I am not in rant mode. ;) Basically, I love them and they ADORE me but they are just very self-focused and don't really consider us in their thought process, and by us I mean my kid. They talk a big talk about how important she is to them and then make plans that are completely unconducive to any child under the age of say, 8. You know what it's like? It's like she's their friend's kid that they really love but don't quite get or have to deal with. KWIM?

Interesting. A car you can wipe down.

I am crazy about cleaing out my car. Keep a dedicated sweeper in my garage just for this. In my dream house, I'll have a garage with professional, flourscent, spot lighting and a powerful-built in vacuum, heated, so I can sweep it out every day.:lovestruc

Gold fish cracker, no problem, suck.

Spiral notebook paper bits, easy, suck-suck.

Dirt and debris, I'm not scared of you. See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya.

I am totally the same way. I clean out my car ALL THE TIME. I think Erika's husband is a god for that garage!!!

I'm not a big makeup person. I don't use liquid foundation. Just powder. BUT...I am now obsessed with mascara. I never used the suff before, but I was talking to a pretty woman, and her eyes looked gawgous, so I am now slathering on the black stuff.

VB - ok. Here's what I got. (By the way, did I mention I love bags.) (LOVE EM.)

Rasberry Burst Satchel for my carry on. This is the pattern that made me actually look at VB. I had no clue there were so many styles.
1014003

Pink Elephants Coin Purse, to keep my camera in, in my purse. Because I love elephants.
29079

This "luggage tag" which I didn't realize was a luggage tag. I thought it was for id. I got it for travel, because I don't travel with my full on wallet.
10314007

And for spending so much, a free coin purse with a "kiss lock" closure. Love me some kiss lock. (No picture available)

DD12 was drueling over it, so I gave it to her. Well, that pi$$ed off DD5, who I didn't buy anthing for, despite her begging and begging. When we got to our office, she walked up to Daddy and said "Mommy spent some money." Can you believe that child!!!! Rotten I tell you!!! Bob laughed when I explained why she's "tattling" and said, "I'll get you something Maddi." Can you see why she's spoiled.

Okay, that's funny! I love what you got. Cambridge is the pattern I have currently, the large tote, the medium zip tote, and the makeup bag. I also have another small zip tote in a retired pattern and the Windsor Blue in an open tote. That one is cool. One of the founders of VB went to my college, and put our symbol on her totes for a limited time - all the money went to scholarships for women. How cool is that?

I want the Raspberry Fizz now. Ah, covet!

Ok...here comes a REALLY long post...
Good God, what have we done?!?!?! First the gym, then the Polar watch, and now this?!?! :faint:

I know!!! I started the books already, they are great. One is all about using your HRM to exercise smarter! Whoo-whee!!!

Nah. I am way too small for one of those big ones. I can't get up into them and then I have a hard time seeing well and/or maneuvering them. Here is my car history--

pre-kids I had an oh-so-sporty Saab Turbo. Loved that car! Had kid # 1 and got a sensible and reliable Toyota 4Runner. had that for a couple of years...it worked great when I had two babies...but then right away I got knocked up with #3 (and this was before 3rd row seats), so buh-bye to my 4Runner and hello Toyota Sienna mini-van. :scared1: We looked at lots and lots of SUVs, but only the huge ones had the third row seats at that time, and I had 3 kids in car seats...and not boosters, but full size car seats.

I had that Sienna for almost 3 years and hated it every single day. (Now don't get me wrong, as far as mini vans go, you can't do better then the Sienna and Odyssey...and with 3 babies, it was really the only option for us.) But God, did I hate it. When I went to pick it up, my dealer didn't even say "congratulations" or "enjoy your new vehicle" or anything like that. He saw that I was trading in my sporty 4Runner for a mini-van...and man, there are just no words for that. :sad2:

Now, though, I have a 2006 Honda Pilot and I love, love, love it! We got that two years ago, brand new. And I will stay in this vehicle for a while. It is the perfect size for us, has plenty of room, but is sporty enough and ok on gas (certainly not great, but it is exactly the same as what I got with my mini van).

I LOVE the Pilot! We looked at it, but it was a hair too big for me. Great car - our saleslady had one for her three kids!

Ok, so I hate to be out of the loop....

So I went to the Vera Bradley website just to see what all the hub-bub is about. :rotfl2: I am definitely NOT a purse person, but I love BAGS...totes, messenger bags, rucksacks, etc.

LIZ--YOU DIDN'T TELL ME SHE HAD TECH STUFF! Omg, there are iPod cases and a laptop bag and all sorts of fun things! And I am desperate for a new wallet as well.

And the reality is that I came to the conclusion about a few months ago that I have to start carrying a purse...or at least have one and leave it in the car. It is just so NOT me. But I used to always have either a diaper bag or a briefcase, so all of my crap was always in either of those. Now I am out of the diaper bag stage and I work from home so don't really ever have a briefcase with me. I can get away without carrying a purse all winter because I have a ton of pockets in my winter coats, so I just shove my cell and wallet, etc. in pockets.

But this spring...now that I am going to be wearing skimpy clothes...:rotfl2: ...I can't very well have crap jammed in my pockets.

I am looking at the mini hipster in classic black. It has to be something small...I cannot tolerate a "real" purse. Liz & Liz...tell me what you think. (And anyone else who is interested in this stuff....which is usually NOT me!)

http://www.verabradley.com/Site/Store/ProductDetail.aspx?dept=7&sku=10334:7

I love it. I want one now!!! I told you it was good stuff! Something for every woman. And yes, stuff jammed in your pockets ruins the nice clean line of your skinny clothes! Did you buy it yet? Go for it!

Liz - I'll be thinking of you as well. Together, we can both stay on plan...
I have that issue of Golf for Women, but am still trying to find the time to read it. I will be pulling it out tonight to check out the exercises. My game needs all the help it can get... My friend (the golf expert) already told me that my swing would change as my body does. My first thought was great, I was just getting the hang of this and now I go and change it. Now I am thinking let's see how much better my swing will get as my body gets smaller.... Have fun tonight...

Kat - Thanks for the words of encouragement...

For all you non makeup wearing folks out there... I have one suggestion for you... tinted moisturizer... if you get one with sunblock in it, you can cover three bases in one... moisturize, add a little coverage and sunblock in one fell swoop... I believe all the major brands now carry something, so there is something for every price point. I used to use Chanel skin care and makeup, but then my budget caught on and said no more... Their tinted moisturizer was great, but at $50 / bottle it got to be a bit much. Now I am an Oil of Olay gal... much easier on the pocketbook...

Now look who is being converted to the dark side....:rotfl2: :rotfl:

I am not a big purse fan either, but I have the hipster in the yellow bird pattern. Big enough for my checkbook, but doesn't feel like I am carrying a piece of luggage. I liked the yellow and black combo. It felt very fresh to me... Have fun shopping...

Goof

I like that pattern!!! So cute and new! And yes to the tinted moisturizer. I buy some for the summer - I like the Laura Mercier line. Sephora carries it, as do many chic-chic stores. It's light but covers and less oily than the store brands I had been buying. Also, when it's $6 but I throw it out and $14 but I keep it all year, that's worth it to me.

How did you do last night? I did well. Lobster roll on a whole wheat bun with a side of salad, only one drink, and for "dessert" I had a fat free sugar free vanilla latte from Starbucks. So yummy and only 2pts! Lots of water, too!

I wish that I could do this... however, my prescription is higher than they will usually do, and I have something else funky (can't remember exactly what, but so I have been told) that makes it not really a viable option.

I actually wear hard (gas permeable) contacts, for the same reasons as above.

I have a Lodis wallet, too. I looked long and hard to find one I really love. Mine is red leather and has the small ID section that you can take out - perfect for going out at night with a smaller purse!

I covet your luggage. It sounds lovely. That we need pictures of!

Hey I wear gas perms as well. I'm right there with you, I hope one day to be able to do the surgery
