Oh...have any of you used GardenGrocer.com at WDW before? If so, how far in advance should I order?

I haven't really grocery shopped lately either. I only get the usual milk, bread, eggs, butter, lunch meat, cheese, fresh fruit and veggies and the occasional thing we run out of.

There's way too much stuff in our extra freezer and pantry. We could probably live off it for a few months. I always buy too much, but you probably already know that ;)

Hi Pam...Great to see you back. OMG your trip is close! I am so excited for you. Never used the grocer. Bet the build a bear party will be fun. I only have heard good things about it.
Where will you be celebrating DDs birthday ADR wise?

Just thought I would share my thread about not grocery shopping for a while...

Debbie- I will do this with you if you would like? We can help trade recipes and figure out what we need. I will only buy the baby basics and Soda and Milk. This sounds like fun. I bet we can save a TON of $$$$:stir:

Garden Grocer is great I would say a week before you leave get your list together and start ordering. I have put an order together just to get the jist on what it will cost I think you can save that order too.

I went and checked out shirts here...

Thoughts?

I think I was prescribed Lorazepam but I never take it. I don't know why I don't take it. I think it just helps to know I have it if I need it. Plus, no matter how stressed I get I always can fall asleep. Weird, but I think sleep is like an escape. I do this weird WDW technique thing at night too to fall asleep and it always works. If I told you what I did you would think I was insane!

Oh, c'mom, tell us! We already think you're insane!;)

Pam - I've never used Gardengrocer before either, but think I am this upcoming trip. (I think we're there around the same time.) From what I've read, it's best to order sooner rather than later. If it's a busy time, they won't take your order. We're arriving on June 22nd and I'm looking to get my order in by next week.

OK I visualize trying to stay in the Magic Kingdom over night. I try and think of hiding places like bathroom stalls or under bushes. I visualize getting souvenirs from the shops to set up camp with like towels and blankets...
I see myself sleeping on a bench facing the castle...crazy stuff like that. It works every time. I have even taken pix of the shrubs I think would make a good shelter!

Crystal Palace since we'll be in MK. I thought maybe the castle but the menu doesn't look very good.

Last year we did O'Hana for her 4th birthday

In 2006 we did 1900 Park Fare

I wanted to add the pictures by Shutterfly is going real slow with uploading them! WHen it's done I'll them.

Debbie...that's funny...you were reading my mind!!! Our dinner is at CP!

Cammie..that's the day we arrive as well. We are at SSR for the 1st three days and then BCV for the other 6. Hmm...maybe I s hould order today for delivery when I am at BCV.

Ok Crazy talk continues...
Sometimes I plan on sleeping by the GF pool and just pretending I have a room.......
I swear some days I could pull this off so if you ever see me on the news......

CP will be great...they decorate the table real cute for birthdays....

Look at those bushes. I could easily hide under them while everyone is leaving...my problem there has always been how to hop the fences without anyone seeing:confused3

I spend a lot at the grocery store so I am going to see how it goes! Now if I can avoid Costco, Target , Walmart etc as well I will be set!

Are their prices fair?

I also visualize living on the monorail...I actually have a TV, microwave and bed in there. I use the resorts for food, bathrooms and showering.....
I told you I was crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sorry you asked yet?

No - you're cracking me up!:lmao:

But, honestly, I think there are people working at MK throughout the night. I don't know if you could pull this off.

As for gardengrocer, I haven't done any price comparisons with any of the local stores, but I KNOW they're a lot cheaper than buying the essentials at the hotel stores. I usually ship a box down with some items but I'm also ordering a case water from Staples. The delivery charge for that alone is @$12; so I figure why not just get it from gardengrocer; pay the same delivery charge and add a few more items like breakfast and snack foods.
