I am off to get the last reminent of my surgery in March worked on. There is still a extra bump of skin where they did the repair. They have now realized it is not going away on its own so now I go for the 4th procedure or surgery.
They are going to do dermabrasion to get it down. In lay terms, they are going to sand it down. This does not sound like a fun way to spend a couple of hours. :)
Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

I am so glad to hear this! My dad is signed up for the DCL excursion at Cabo Del Sol. I really wish I knew of someone else going to link him up with.

Cabo del Sol is often called the Pebble Beach of Mexico.... its that nice. When we played it on our honeymoon we were paired with a lovely couple... they were so nice they gave us their rent a car! (they had a 14 day rental but were staying for 10 days).

Last I heard they were trying to decide whether to refurb and move it over a bit or scrap the ride all together. I haven't heard whether a decision had been made either way, but then again I haven't been paying too much attention to DL news lately.

The podcast said they were going to take the Orange out of the Orange stinger. They would theme is based on some 1930's disney movie that I think had a twister in it...

My older DD is talking about the Stinger quite a bit... I'm hoping its still open in mid-Aug.

Ok lets see, what are the 7 deadly sins?

Lust - lusting after the desserts perhaps - shouldn't have looked at the food porn!

Gluttony - early morning snack, buffet breakfast, brunch, buffet lunch, afternoon tea on deck, dinner then late night room service... say no more on that one.

Greed - taking that extra dessert at lunch time or just one more cookie?

Sloth - lounging around during those days at sea

Wrath - what will happen if someone jumps the queue between me and the buffet line...

Envy - what I will feel when I leave the ship and see others heading towards it

Pride - being satisfied I ate my own body weight daily in food during the cruise

Of course thats just me and others may be much more virtuous...

You missed one, the 8th Deadly Sin (according to Rev Jim).........Pizza!

Julie...Can I ask a stupid question? I am new to this board, and this will be our first cruise with Disney. We would like to participate in "ALL" of the fun. Don't really know if that is possible...but one can try.

Back to my question...is it too late to sign up to participate with the fish extenders? And, if not...how do we go about doing so?

Thanks, Carol

Hi Carol,

Julie's away this week, and won't be following the thread closely. She will be checking her PM's though. Just send her a PM (She's bellelinus), there's still time to sign up. I think you can send a PM after you have 10 posts on the boards, so fluff away here-tell us a little about yourself, what you're looking forward to doing on the cruise, etc, and then you'll be able to send her a PM.

PS Love your username. I'm in my 11th year of post-high school education!

Uh oh - I'm going to hell. :scared1:

Do you think Father Mike will have an Express Confession Package on his verandah? Seven deadly sins for the price of 5, provided that you fess up to all 7 at once.

PLEASE do not post the name of the DCL dining coordinator any more. I will be editing it out of any and all posts that I find. Since she does the job herself for both ships she does not need to be contacted by everyone as that will make her job more difficult and her ability to work with large groups such as this one may be jeopardized or stopped all together. This information is suppose to remain confidential. Thank you for your understanding.

You will need to post at least 3 more posts, but then PM Julie and let her know you are in.

Coral, lots of luck at the Dr. I'm sure it will come out great.

How old is your DS? My DS9 is also a history buff and would have read everything on the wall at the Jefferson Memorial if I had let him ... underneath the statue about his life. :)

You mean like this? My DS10 reading every word of the monument. When we went to England, all he wanted to do was visit WWII sites.

A slice of pizza and absolution is virtually guaranteed! :thumbsup2

Quick question for all our newbie crew mates....

How many familes would be interested in ordering t-**** directly from our printer? Provided he's willing to do it.

It'd be good to have an idea on how busy his phone is going to be....

Thanks!

But I do find it hard to imagine leaving California.

I mean yes, the ground is shaky, taxes and cost of living high, and there's either not enough water or too much and half the state is on fire between May and October.

But the weather is as close to perfect as one can hope to find. You can hike a redwood forest, surf in the Pacific, and go skiing in a single day. And if you're a tech geek like me... well, there's simply nothing like Silicon Valley. And though I don't live in Southern California any more, DLR is just a short flight or 5-6 hour drive down highway 5.

Not suggesting anyone should move here - just, it's hard for me to really see myself living anywhere else....

I agree with you! 2 hrs to the beach, 1.5 hrs to the snow... even though the weather this week is a bit miserable - predicting 112 degrees today in my neck of the woods- I love California. I don't think I could move any place else.

:confused3 So we shouldn't all be calling her with special requests??

I'm anticapating very hot weather on the excursions for this cruise and was wondering if anyone has used "cooling collars" for the heat? They look like a good idea on the web sites but do they really help keep you cool?:confused3

I bought some, but haven't used them yet. I am hoping they work. They had them at a charity book fair they held in my office building a few months ago.

Good Morning!!!

HappyMonday21.jpg

How did you get my picture this weekend?:lmao:

Your description is the classic stereotype of what a lot of us in the center of the US think of the Eastcoast as a whole!:lmao:

I've enjoyed by brief visits to DC and Philadelphia, but they've always been for work so I look forward to visiting again with the family as tourists!

When dh travels to someplace new (and it has to be somewhere that he is intereted in!) he tries to schedule an extra day or half day. It doesn't always work out.

Ever since the captives were rescued in Colombia, I've been waiting for more people to be worried about THAT port. Even that doesn't scare me...I'm REALLY looking forward to Cartegena.

From the very beginning dh has told me that we (at least him & the kids) are NOT getting off in Columbia. I still haven't decided...... I did book us a shore excursion but, I am thinking that I should just go ahead and cancel it now....
I can totally understand his feelings -- we have always made it our policy that as long as we are resposible for minor children we won't go anywhere that is questionable and we won't ride motercylcles. ;)

 I hope it doesn't hurt as much as it sounds like it will!

You mean like this? My DS10 reading every word of the monument. When we went to England, all he wanted to do was visit WWII sites.

I love it!

Morning all! Hope everyone is OK. Got my new glasses and am trying to get use to them. They are way stronger than I'm use to.

Webkinz- the good, the bad, the ugly! DD has at least a dozen of them. She is mad at me. I held back 2 tags for her to enter later. They are all the rage right now at her school. They banned Webkinz, because at lunch they were getting married and have more Webkinz! Kids!

I guess I'm a bad adult. I coordinate Box Tops for Education and I have a Webkinz promotion going on till the October deadline. I made a special Wacky Webkinz Box Tops Friends collection sheet and will have a drawing for some Webkinz and trading cards. Hopefully it will bring in a lot of Box Tops.

Hello everyone! Hope everyone had a great 4th weekend! We did another short road trip to visit El Malpais, El Morro (really neat!), Petrified Forest, Canyon de Chelly, and Window Rock. Had a great time!

I'm surprised you didn't close the thread while I was gone!

Are we there yet?:lmao: And I wanted to finally see if I could post a picture that wasn't in my Photobucket account. And I did it. Yea me! It only took my a year to figure it out (and I am still not sure I am doing it the right way).
