The Kitchen Sink!!!!

IMG_2190.jpg

I'm so glad that on my next trip (15 days from now!!!), I'll finally have enough people with me to try the Kitchen Sink. I've looked at it for years, but not really something a solo diner can experience. (Well, maybe I should say it would be a waste if I did get it.)

For those of you wanting to try Goofy's Candy Co. - thought you might want to see the menu for the Make-Your-Own Treats:

This picture always reminds me of a litter box!!!:lmao: :lmao: But before you get all grossed out... It reminds me of a LITTER BOX CAKE!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
We've made the litter box cake many times. We even took it to the family reunion once!!!:cool1: It was a huge hit!!! :lmao:
For those of you unfamiliar with a litter box cake, it is served in an actual plastic litter box (brand new and never used of course) and often lined with plastic bag for more realism. You serve it with a brand new (of course) pooper scooper, and you make "droppings" from tootsie rolls. The cake is actually VERY VERY good.:thumbsup2
Here's a recipe:

Ours usually turn out a little darker than theirs do in the pictures.
When we took it to the reunion, after the reunion we were swamped with people asking how we made it.

I was looking at your pictures, and it brought up a question.
Is there EVER enough Parmesan cheese????
I mean seriously! Every time we eat at Olive Garden, the waitress always says "Say When!" as she's grating, and she NEVER lets me say "OK, thats enough.":lmao: I'm usually looking at the soup thinking "If you turn that cheese grater till I say 'when' your arms are going to be hurting!" its not enough cheese till I can't see my entree anymore. THEN its enough cheese!!!:rotfl2: But she ALWAYS stops LONG before that point.
Does Tutto do the same thing, or do the entrees come "pre-cheesed"?
Either way I'll know in about 34 days!:thumbsup2

OMG! I also took a kitty litter cake to a family reunion.... but I got the opposite response! It tasted wonderful, but the majority of my family never found that out, because they couldn't get past the look.... it went most of the day untouched, except by me! Until I was so upset that I decided to throw it out... then some of them tried it and actually liked it!

You are my new best friend!!! (note the pic I have chosen for my signature) What are your feelings on chocolate? I have a theory about food: everything can be improved by putting either cheese or chocolate on top!! I am a teacher and once shared this theory with one of my classes and they decided to try to challenge me to find something. They didn't always agree with me but they never did come up with anything!

As the regulars here already know... I have the same theory about hot sauce!!! Everything tastes a little better with some type of hot sauce! I even use hot sauce on my ice cream. (Toad Sweat) Look it up. Its fruit flavored hot sauce!!! its expensive but its VERY good!

You know, I used to play this game with people, and then had a bunch stump me - most types of Asian food!

We leave in 12 days for WDW and I am new to all of this. I have been browsing your pics for a month now for incentive and advice on booking Reservations. I have most of our trip reserved for dinner, we are on the dining plan ( free dining ) woohoo!! but I am feeling a little overwhelmed by all the choices and opinions. I realize taste is a matter of opinion (we are self proclaimed foodies) and we do appreciate " authentic" ethnic food . I have booked us in a different ethnic TS restaurant for everynight we are in Disney. I would appreciate any help from anyone who wants to give us a little advice.
Thanks !!:confused3

My father loved to cook......and his philsophy was that so long as a dish had cheese, wine, mushrooms or garlic, it was worthy of eating....and chocolate was required to complete any meal.

I still use his philosphy for planning my cooking each week!

And hey....even the health experts agree that a small amount of wine and chocolate are good for you. Of course, the "small amount" is all relative right?

If you make a post on the main restuarants board listing all the places you've booked, you'll get lots of opinions! :thumbsup2 I'd love to see your choices!

If your really into ethnic foods (authentic) my recommendations are:
#1 is Boma!!! - the food is awesome. Its REALLY different than most food. It takes a LOT to make me think something is really different. Boma surprised me greatly.

Chef's Du France. - Where else can you eat snails???:lmao: No, but seriously... its awesome. The ambiance (IMO) sucks. Its crowded, tight, loud, and it gave me a headache. The people didn't take well to children, but with all the noise... who cares? the food was superb. The French Onion Soup is to die for. My wife said the hamburger was the best hamburger she had ever eaten in her life. She said it was nothing like most hamburgers. I ragged on her for ordering a hamburger at a French restaurant (af all the things to order!) but she raved for weeks about that burger. It was her favorite entree of the trip.
Morocco!!! The food is pretty good, and definitely different, but its not as spicy as I had hoped. Even my wife commented that it was kinda bland. We titled it "Exotic and bland".:happytv: But the bellydancers show was great!
If theres a guy in your party he'll like it too!:thumbsup2

Biergarten is great for the ambiance. (one of the best Ambiances in WDW), and the food is good. Mostly sausages, weiners, and beef with kraut. Lots of beer references.

Japan... awesome food. But you can probably get a japanese steakhouse meal in your town. Chances are you dont have an African restaurant (Boma) in your town!

Le Cellier is good, but not too exotic. Mostly steaks and such. Great cheeses!

Norway... It USED TO be the best (IMHO) TS in Epcot. (as far as food went) Now its tamed waaaay down and Americanized for little princesses. I do not recommend it anymore at all.

Yak & Yeti... dont know yet. I'll let you know in Sept.

theres my picks for ethnic!:thumbsup2

Theres some awesome restaurants there. You cant really go wrong.

Oh bless you guys!! :thumbsup2 I thought I was the only one! I've actually had a few nice servers at Olive Garden or East Side Marios who will just leave the grater with me! :rolleyes1 I was also hoping that Tutto would have the graters!

Your father is my hero!! There was a recent thread asking what country you would choose for another pavillion in Epcot. My vote - Switzerland. Why? - Cheese and chocolate of course!! Add the wine and you may never get me out popcorn:: (you know this popcorn is coated with parmesan cheese, or maybe mixed with M&M's!!)

Oh my...I can't wait to eat my way back thru!!! Trying Teppan Edo for the first time. I'll have plenty of pictures to post when I get back!popcorn::

1. ESM still exists?!
2. ESM was not a unique restaurant?! (When I went to Providence, my sophomre year, the ESM around the corner from the campus closed, and I was devastated.)
Sorry for OT, but I almost spit my teeth out when you mentioned East side Mario's!
