Why...oh why...

Not all dates on Expedia give you free dining - my dates in March don't - but having a wee look for the end of November does!

I've started something again haven't I :lmao:

I seem to remember me doing the same with the 50% AP offer at the beginning of the year.

Sorry ;)

That is a fantastic deal!:thumbsup2 If i wasnt already going in Jan i would book that:)

im just jealous..................................

john - u booked yet??

edited to say............
looks like further trips will not be happening, just realised that planning halloween next year, fin will be 7, and therefore wont qualify for kids under 7, which means even more money..... just tried sum prices and it wud be an extra £100 + just for him, as his bday wud have been just before we went. gutted doesnt even come close to how i feel..................

Haven't booked yet, gotta chat with Ellie tonight :(

I'd not get too worried yet...they are currently doing this:
Kids under 12 Stay, Play &Travel for Free offer: Valid for arrivals from 3rd January until 1st April 2010. Please see brochure or website for details
Hopefully they will extend it further into 2010 :wizard:

So once again Jonathan you have everyone spending their money on Disney magic! lol :wizard:

Expedia are often cheaper than booking direct, if you don't need park entry tickets (ie if you have APs, or are considering buying them

Thank you :) We were talking about it and think we will save to try and go for longer trip next summer as we enjoyed this summer so much , fingers and toes crossed :) The travelling from Ireland makes it a bit less doable for us.

Good luck everyone with the bargains and planning !!

I can't be as easily tempted now without my APs, thats why im back here now. IF i came back any sooner i know i'd have gone again! especially with your brainwashing skills!

Soon you'll have me supporting the Mighty Gills !

i do hope so, but this winter its only for under 7s..... hence me being worried (and peed off) as hell turn 7 on 18th and the halfterm will be about 22nd so will miss out by days

will keep fingers crossed, am needing sum sort of fix, so desperately need sum trip reports to read and absorb - so thatll be emma & bobs to keep me going!!! just knew i shuda stuck to going this october, rather than bein persuaded into centre parcs..........:sad2: :headache:

maybe u cud contact disney and use ur brainwashing to sort me a good deal???:thumbsup2:worship:

The under 12 offer has only ever run between January and April, I'm afraid Nicky, hence why we've had so many trips during that time and I only have 1more year after next year to take advantage of it after that I'm paying for all adults. :-(
BTW I did mention this in the survey (other thread) suggested they extend it to under 14's or even under 16, well I can dream and perhaps run it at other times of the year too. :thumbsup2

I am so glad that I read this thread!

I had booked through Expedia for 22nd - 27th Nov staying at Santa Fe for 2 adults & 2 children for £271. I checked on their website & it was still showing no free dining offer, but the price had gone up to £281. But, by playing round with my dates, I have now booked the 1st night @ £56 without the free dining & then separately the other 4 nights @£224 to include the free dining. So, I am getting the free dining vouchers for 5 days for an extra £10.

Having checked my confirmation, there is no mention of the free dining on it, so I have emailed them about it, so hopefully they will get back to say that it is definintely there!

At the moment, it is me & my 2 daughters going (aged 7 & 2), but I booked the room for 2 adults & 2 children as it was the same price because we don't know yet if DH will be able to get off work & join us. If he can't (and we probably won't know until the week before), then I'll have extra vouchers, but there's no way that we'll need that much food! But then again, I'll probably not get any for DD2 as she will be 2 - but a week off her 3rd birthday, so maybe I will be able to use some of them.

So let's hope now that Expedia get back to me tomorrow to let me know that the free dining is included. I had originally thought I had got a bargain @ £271 & now I can't believe I'm getting an even better deal for £10 extra (that's what's making me think that it's too good to be true & it not appearing on the confirmation means I'm not getting it). I'll let you know how I get on.

Karen, I did something similar, and saw it for an extra £6 on my dates with free dining so cancelled and rebooked :) Apparently they don't have details of the free dining on the expedia confirmation as Disney will know this, but the person who booked it for me put a side note on the confirmation so that it says Disney dining included, fingers crossed it works out when we check in in December :)

...do I keep looking at prices for Disney trips!

I've just found an offer on Expedia for January 2010....£206 for 4 nights at the Santa Fe with the free dining offer for all 4 of us (excluding tickets)

I'm not sure that I can justify not booking it :goodvibes

John, when you say 'excluding tickets', do you mean you've been offered the free dining deal as AP holders?

John, when you say 'excluding tickets', do you mean you've been offered the free dining deal as AP holders?

Not John, obviously, but the Expedia packages can be booked with or without tickets. With tickets is very very expensive, but the without tickets deal is very good value and if you have an AP you obviously don't need the tickets in the package.

I wasn't actually aware you could book any of the Disney hotels without tickets as I thought they came as part of the deal, but obviously you must be able to, otherwise there would be no point having AP's. I do wonder if that's why AP holders get a discount on hotel bookings though, that it's just the price of the tickets taken off?

It's not that expensive to include tickets as well - if you play around with dates;

eg: newport bay 22-25th Jan (3 nights) 2 adults 2 children

= £553.12 for hotel and free dining

= £682 for hotel, free dining AND tickets meaning only £129 for tickets!!

Worth playing around with dates and hotels, but as I said in my earlier post make sure they give you confirmation in writing of the free dining as if I hadn't asked we wouldn't have got it (even though it did state on the site).

Does anybody know if they send the vouchers out before we travel or will we get them when checking in?

Its just like a Disney booking in that respect, you get everything, including meal vouchers, when you check in at your hotel. Just remember to take your Expedia confirmation with you.

I must be doing something wrong as for 2 adults and 1 child (which will be 4 so will be free) in feb its quoted me £980.96 for 4 nights at NPB, it includes tickets but no transport :scared1: which is expensive!

also doesnt mention anywhere about free dining
