Too early to plan for 2012, or am I just bored??

What to do? I just watched the D23 Expo video for the new fanastyland. I think I need to wait for at least part of it to be open. Late 2012?!?

I was planning for 2012, but just read today that the Pixie Hollo part of the expansion will not be open until 2013. So I am planning for May 2013, the day the boys get out of school!

You're not crazy at all in my book! If you're like my family, it takes at least a year to save the money to go!

I'm planning for Sept/Oct 2011 already!

Have fun!

I just took my 2 year to our science center yesterday, and while he was fairly good for the most part, spending a week at Disney would be wayyyy too much for him. I was exhausted by the end of the day too!!

Financially, we can't afford a Disney trip right now anyway, so now that I spent a day with him out somewhere, it will now make me less sad that I am not going Disney. It was just a small preview of what it would be like with him there for a week!

I'm probably looking to go in 2012. :woohoo: I'm going to start saving and I'm mentally preparing our itinerary - nothing on paper yet, but soon!!

Never too early, im sure after this trip, i'll be planning for my next trip too.

Nope, not too early to plan!

I'm in the "thinking" stage of planning a Mom and Dad only trip for May 2012 to celebrate our 25th anniversary. :cool1:

Nope never too early! Planning is the fun part. We're not going in 2010 so I'm already planning for Jan 2011. We also think we'll be going October 2012.

After this trip in 2 weeks we won't be going again until 2012, so no it's not too early to plan!

DH and I are always in the Disney trip planning mode. We love the planning almost as much as going.

Right now we have a trip planned for Aug 2010 and Jul 2011. We're talking maybe a quick 5 day trip this Dec to see the Christmas decorations. Shhhhhh the boys don't know about that one that one!

We were just there from Jan 30-Feb 6th. We can't go back for another 2 yrs, so it looks like planning for Feb 2012! :rotfl:

We love to do it- we talk about it each day. Now we're discussing our ADR's, MNSSHP and back stage tour for our trip coming up in Sept.!:thumbsup2:surfweb:

I will be planning right along with you....I just got accepted into nursing school last week. (I am 33, and a mother of ds6 and dd1)- I will start in August of 2010, and since it is an accelerated program, I will graduate in December of 2011. (We go straight through 4 semesters- no breaks!)

Since dh and I have discussed how much my going back to school will impact all of us, we are trying to stress how important it will be for all of us to pitch in and help each other out. So, our thinking is, what better way to celebrate my graduation (and wonderful family!) than a Disney trip?!?! I know my son has heard us mention it, but I am thinking that I may try to keep it a secret. Just pick him up from school one day, and hit the road, lol!

Besides, knowing there is a Disney trip in my future may be what I need to keep focused and motivated during those intense 16 months earning my bsn. :)

Our next trip will be spring 2012. Not sure yet which week, waiting til the school calendar comes out so I get an idea of when DS may have a day or 2 off school.
We do know we'll stay at AKL again! I like to book room only around the 400 day mark to ensure the resort & room we want.

I'm heading to Disney in 2012 as well! There's not too much active planning I'm doing short of making a list of resturants my BF & I might like to eat at. I promised him that I wouldn't even mention Disney until January 1, 2011 so by then I have to have a list of things for him to sign off on :) I've been trying to go since 2005 and something has ALWAYS come up but I am bound and determined to go this time!

It's never, ever too early to plan a Disney trip! I'm in the early stages of planning a trip for me and my friends in honor of our high school graduation that won't happen until the summer of 2011! And me and my mom talked about it as early as last summer! And since me and my friends are paying for almost the entire thing OURSELVES (the only thing we're not paying for is the hotel, that's coming from my mom's DVC points), we need to start saving up for it now!

I know my son has heard us mention it, but I am thinking that I may try to keep it a secret. Just pick him up from school one day, and hit the road, lol!

My mom did this to me and my sister once! I was in fifth grade, and DSis was reeeaaaaallly little. My mom picked me up from school, and told us in the car that we were going to Disney World! My dad was working or something, I can't remember, but it was just so sudden that for a second I didn't believe her! And then we were at the airport, and I realized that we really were going!! That was the best weekend of my life!

Well, it looks like I won't be planning for a WDW 2012 trip. We decided to head to DL in 2012 & then WDW in 2013.
