TeenaS- You asked who was coming soon? We will be there 8/20-8/27 any chance we will be able to meet you? I tell my DH all about you and how wonderful of a resource you are. You have helped us so much! Thanks!!!

Hi everyone, we are staying at the BCV for the 1st time a week from today!! Quick question, how long is the walk from the resort thru epcot to the monorails? Time/distance?

Reason why...on arrival day we land at 1:50, ME, maybe at room by 3:30? We've got 6:45 ressie for CM. I was thinking of a leisurely walk thru epcot and a fun ride on the monorail. We should have plenty of time and not have to rush.

Is this a crazy plan. Are we better just hopping the bus to MK and going from there?

I don't have exact distance for you, but it usually takes us about 15-20 min. to walk briskly from the resort through Epcot to the front turnstiles to get to the monorail station outside Epcot. :thumbsup2 So, you could certainly take your time walking through :goodvibes

Personally since you purchased no expiration tickets, I would keep them separate. Otherwise, if you take them home, they just look like plain old room keys. In six months you might not remember they have 2 days of park passes left on them with no expiration date. At least the tickets say what they are and don't look like room keys.

Disadvantage is you have to take all your room keys with you plus all your park tickets with you if you don't get them transferred to your keys. You need all your room keys to show to get on attractions during the extra morning and evening hours.

Thanks again, Teena! We'll have to think about that one. You have an excellent point.

This will be our fist concierge stay at a Disney Resort. We have reservations at the BC's Stone Harbor Club and have a "Deluxe Room". Are these rooms in a specific location w/in the BC on a specific floor? If so are views guaranteed or do I need to request a specific view? Are the Yacht Club concierge rooms connected to the same lounge?

Thanks for any info or direction to a link that has specific answers!

I might be working on the 21st (don't get my schedule until tomorrow). I'll definitely be working on the 22nd and 23rd, 9:30 AM to 5:45 PM. If I'm not in the lobby, I'm either helping a guest or on a short break. Looking forward to meeting you.

So you booked a deluxe room and not a standard or water view, correct? If so, then there are only six of those rooms and they are on the first, second, third and fourth floors. All the regular club level rooms (standard/garden and water/lagoon rooms) and the lounge are on the fifth floor. Your keys will give you elevator access to the fifth floor.

The deluxe rooms all have nice views but some have standing balconies, some have full balconies and one has a patio.

The Yacht Club is a whole different resort and their club level lounge and rooms are totally separate from the Beach Club.

I know I posted this before, but I just wanted to remind you all that there are still bouncebacks in the rooms. So if you think there is any chance at all you might want to come back for a quick trip for maybe the Food & Wine Festival or to see the holiday decorations, make sure you book that bounceback offer from your room BEFORE you check out. You only have to put down one night's deposit and it is refundable if when you get home you see it won't work afterall. Also, once you get home, you can call and change the dates and you'll keep that bounceback discount.

Can't tell you how many people end up getting home after a super vacation, decide they want to come back for a quick trip to see the Candlelight Processional or just to see all the decorations or maybe for the Food & Wine Festival and then it's too late to get that great discount.

Teena-thanks for the reminder! :goodvibes There wasn't a slip in our room and I completely forgot to inquire before we checked out..... but I found an email once we returned home that was only valid until checkout (but I didn't have email access on vacation so I wasn't aware of the code)...

Do you think at the end of August while free dining is going on they might have a bounceback for NEXT year for free dining or do you think it might still be for bouncebacks through the end of 2010?

We love Bounceback! I am hoping that when we come in October, the offers will still be there for December. :goodvibes

Lots of times the housekeepers forget to put them in the rooms. Always call the Housekeeping Office from your room and ask for the bounceback offer to be delivered to your room.

I never know when there will be new bouncebacks or when the old ones will go away. I know last year either in October or November they put new ones in the rooms for most of the following year. We just have to wait and see like everybody else unfortunately.

That was the only choice available when I booked, I assume I could request a full balcony or a patio when I check in on-line?

I actually haven't seen pictures of the little slide, I just know there is one. That's good confirmation though, I'll try to convince her to be there. At least I know my little guy will have a good time too. Thank you!!

I meant to include the link to the little slide at SAB!

Again, it looks tame when the water isn't running, but it's not - and it's really fun - our pre-teens spent way more time here than on the big slide (and they LOVE the big slide) because they were having so much fun with their little brother! They would slide with him several times (they took turns going down the slide after him and catching him at the bottom of the slide) then they could run up and go down the big slide and join us again.

I feel like this is such a great option at SAB - and so often overlooked - that we should have a FAQ about the little slide or something! I just hate when people reject BC because they think there isn't enough for little kids.

Between this area and the whole zero entry "quiet lagoon area," it's just perfect! For anyone else looking at this, I'm also posting a photo of the quiet lagoon: http://allears.net/acc/sab12.jpg

Hi! Thinking of booking the BC for mid Dec- we were @ the BC over Memorial day week; had an amazing time! Kids would love to go back! I was wondering what anyone can tell me about the BC in Dec?
How is the pool then? I know the parks are closed earlier then the summer and the pool is a big deal to my kids.
Thanks in advance!

WOW, when you booked, the only club level room available was a deluxe? Since there are only six of them, that's strange!

You should call reservations and have full balcony and/or patio added to your reservation. Keep in mind though that there are only six of these rooms so if they are all booked, there only might be one that is being vacated on the day you arrive and if that has a standing balcony, that's the room you'll end up with. It's really tough when there are only six rooms.

You may want to skip doing an on-line checkin. You are a club level guest and therefore will be greeted at the door anyway. You could then ask them before you get to the actual check-in if your room has a patio or full balcony. If it does not, then you can ask if another deluxe room is available that has either a patio or full balcony and if it is, tell them you want to switch rooms. If you do the on-line checkin, your keys will be already cut and waiting for you. If there's a possibility you are going to change the room assigned to you and you don't do an on-line checkin, then keys don't need to be recut.

The whole idea of doing an on-line checkin is to make it fast and simple. You walk up and receive your keys and you are on your way. If you want to ask about your room, the balcony, or anything at all, it's best to not do the on-line checkin.

The other day the on-line checkin line was longer and not moving as fast as the regular check-in line because the person that was at the on-line desk was wanting to change this and that and asking a million questions. That's fine. We don't mind any of that at all. However, that should be done at the regular check-in desk or at the concierge desk. The process at the on-line desk will on average take about 30 seconds. Show your ID and get handed your welcome packet with your keys and off you go. Then the next in line goes up and 30 seconds later it's the next person, etc., etc., etc. But if you are a club level guest, you don't need to deal with any of that anyway.

The pool is heated. However, we close the pool if it's 50 or below and it can be in December. When coming in December, January, February or early March, come with clothes for both hot, warm, cool and cold weather. You can get all four!

The parks and resorts are beautiful. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is wonderful. The Candlelight Processional is breathtaking. The decorations at all the resorts are worth taking a whole day and doing nothing but resort hopping to see!! It's a magical time at WDW!

What exactly does your confirmation say? Does it just say "deluxe room" and nothing else?

I think my question got lost a few pages back:goodvibes Does anyone know how late SAB may be open the week prior to Labor Day??? I know in July it was until 11.... I'm *hoping* it's at least 10???? I know in the less busy times it's around 7/8pm...

Thanks in advance!!! :cheer2:
