Halloween Horror Nights 2010?

I'm just curious because I know there have been times I've used fastpasses at Disney and still waited close to a half hour.

Also, what's the best strategy if you have an EP and doing S&S? Hit up the first couple houses and use the regular queue and save your EP in case you want to do it again later, or start using it right away?

Last year I waited about 40mins in the express line for Saw on an off peak night.
That is the longest I've ever waited in an express line.

What I do is hit as many houses I can in the regular line until the wait time gets to over 30mins. The I use my express to do what's left and repeat the the houses I did earlier.

This used to be pretty common. To the point where I would print out multiple copies of my Express just in case. :rolleyes1

Another tip is to just be nice to the TM scanning it and ask that they don't. You'd be surprised...

Initially, the EPs were in a booklet and they tore out the one for whatever house/ride you were going on at the time. Then they went to the single ticket where they would initial at each stop.

Just jumping in to say Hi and say I am planning both HHN and HOS this year...again...I am psyched...considering last year I had to miss both because of no job...

Dh and I usually do HHN on a non-peak night. We S&S as we are pass members. Once we are "let free" we usually can hit 3 houses with minimal waiting, and the 4th usually 20-30min wait. From there, we usuallyy end up waiting 45min for at least one house, then as the crowds die down, snag the last houses we missed, and try for doubles. I never ride the rides, and I dont make a huge effort for Bill and Ted anymore, so I am able to do everything I want in the given time period usually without issues..

This year for HOS though, DH and I will be doing the Fright Feast, as we for the first time dont have AP, so we wanted to be able to enter early..I am looking forward to it...

Yep. I remember buying a booklet for around $30 in front of IOA in 2002. I wish they still used those.

As for Express lines, the longest I have ever had to wait was 45 minutes in 2007 for Vampyr: Blood Bath (worst house). That was on a very busy Saturday night though. That same night, ROTM had an hour and half wait for Express.

You will have a hard time seeing everything even with the EP. If you're going to do S & S with Express, you will have a huge advantage over those people outside the main gates. Still...It's going to be a challenge but considering you're going on off-peak nights, you have a good chance. I never do the shows the same night as the houses...I do the houses first and then come back to do the shows. If you have the time to spend two evenings, do it. You won't have to worry about rushing through everything. You could do the first night and see what you have left to do and then decide if you want to come back. It doesn't take 30 minutes to go through the houses but it will take a while to get through the queue line. Going through the actual house will take 10 minutes or so.

Hmmm, I think it its possible to do it all just on S&S and no express pass. Last year we went to HHN on s Saturday night, got in at 7 by the end of the night we did, 5 houses, Bill and Ted, and all open rides. As we walked around back to the entrance we could have done Leave it to Cleaver it had a 5 min wait, Saw it had a posted 75 min wait (but the person in the front told us to get in line cause they just padded the time to discourage people) I really wanted to do this house, but my friend refused to be subjected to anymore chainsaws. We also could have done that other one but thats when I received the call that our ride was there and it was time to leave about 1:30ish. So I think with S&S we could of gotten those houses in. (If I had the energy that late at night I would have dragged my friend into them, but I was tired!)

I didn't say it wasn't possible...I said it would be a challenge. I don't care when you go during the event, it's always tough doing everything in a single night. All the walking and standing in the queues make for a LONG night.

Do they still have the back entrance into HHN from IOA with S&S?! I think a couple of years ago it was through Suess Land?!

I read on another site, but can`t find it now that lanyards are going to be limited to 5000 sold this year!!!

We won`t get any if thats the case as we`re not going till the 24th October.....do they really limit the amount of Lanyards sold?

Very disappointed if correct :sad1:

I think so but if I remember correctly that gate doesn't open as early as the regular S & S areas in the Studios. I guess it will depend on the layout this year as to whether it's open again...that's my guess anyway.

Hmmm...I hadn't heard that. I don't ever remember lanyards being "limited"...maybe this is a "special edition" lanyard or something.

Im not sure if they use the back entrance...but I think if you bought a combo pass that allows for IOA during the day, then HHN at night, you can take advantage of that entrance...Again, I am not sure, as I have always done S&S as I am an AP holder..

Thanks for the answers guys!:thumbsup2 We are actually doing the two park one day ticket with stay and scream option. Normally we would just do IOA first and end the day at US and stay at Finnegans for Stay and Scream, but my brother (who's 13) will not be doing HHN so we are trying to make the most of the park days for him since it's our only day at Universal/IOA for our entire trip! We will probably start bright and early at the studios, do the few things we like to do in there and end the day at IOA. Hopefully we'll finish up there around 6ish, sending my bro to meet up with my parents, and then enter through the back way through IOA. We will probably by the EP for the houses since we will be getting a later start than the usual stay and scream peeps! And we would like to maximize as many houses as possible in a shorter amount of time! Thank goodness our next day is a relax day in between park days! :lmao::lmao:

I am trying to buy my sister's Florida resident day ticket in conjunction with the stay and scream. I had no problem adding my boyfriend's and mine to our cart since we are not Florida residents, but I can't seem to figure out how to get a Florida resident ticket for my sister! Anyone had any experience with this?:confused3
