Ok all, I am off.. I have to be in early the next three days then it is off to my niece's wedding in Portland OR. Sweet DREAMs to all..:cloud9:

Mike, I can't figure out how to ask this without setting myself up for a stupid answer so here it goes. How do you ride your bike?
Stay with me, hear me out. Do you ride for a certain distance or a certain time? Do you ride slow and easy or fast and hard? I said STAY WITH ME!!
I went for a ride today for about 35 mins on the bike trail at a fast speed that was firm to pedal to keep the pace. I went at least 15 min then turned around and came back. What do you suggest for loosing weight?

I am with you Junior and glad to share. I ride for1 hour and go 10 to 11 miles. A trainer friend of mine suggested riding for 45 minutes to an hour to get results. Do what you are comfortable with and then just add a few more minutes on subsequent rides. Walking for two or three miles will help also. I mix the two so they do not get boring. Mixing it up helps keep you from getting sore. There is only one way to lose weight..... burn off more calories than you take in.....eat healthy=feel good

Thank you. I've got the eating going for me now. I've been focused on that for a couple weeks. Now I want to implement some biking but wanted some info. Thanks again!

Stay with it, setting a realistic goal helps keep you on track. Ten pounds lost by cruise time would be a start:thumbsup2

I'm down 10 already the last couple weeks. Shooting for 20 more before cruise. I did it last year but after the cruise I gained it all back! I just didn't stay moving! I need to change everything that I do in my day to day and MAKE time for the bike rides or whatever. It's just sooo hard when I work 2 jobs!!! But I gotta do it!

I like to ride until my legs start to feel like they are ready to fall off. Then I turn around and ride home. I ride for the sheer joy of riding. If it helps me get exercise, then that is just the icing on on the cup cake. (Or the chili on the cheese fries if you will ...)

Keeping it off is the toughest part. When it becomes your life style, it gets easier. If I can do it, anyone can. I have kept the 90 pounds I lost off for four years now. Still have about 15-20 to go. It will have to wait until after the cruise.:rotfl2:
