Thanks mossyflossy. Just spotted your post and have booked 4 weeks from the 4th July flying out of Glasgow with netflights for £422 and 1.6% cashback.
Mrs TT
We will be here at the same time then, we arrive the 18th.
Great prices Ruth, thank you for letting people know.
Okay so it's Friday night and I am sitting here looking at the clock - 7 pm EST. SO .... have you landed? Don't forget there is free wi fi now so you can log in at ANY TIME to give us an update
Yes we have landed, Transatlantic took off 10mins late, arrived on time, AA have slightly more legroom than VA, and far better food, we all enjoyed the meal, I had blueberry pancakes, Matt & Karen had omlette. Also got croissant, crackers, and more. snack later was different, we were expecting the famous AA pizza but its changed, it was like a cross between a deepfill pizza and a calzone, difficult to explain, still nice but prefer the old style.
Immigration was mental, just under 1 hour to get thru, went a lot faster when the US residents line cleared, over half the staff were dealing with them, not so many dealing with visitors which was a very long line.
Onto Terminal 3 for flight to Tampa after a McD, gate change and 50 min delay, not too bad.
Dollar, I did online rapid check in, worked well in August, not so well this time, he said my DL was a mismatch with my Express card, no idea why or what he did but took about 15 mins on the computer for it to accept us.
Got a 7 seater Chevy Traverse 14 k on clock, only driven it up from Tampa to the hotel but seems very nice, a bargain for £150 incl tank of gas and additional drivers.
Traffic up the I4 was busiest I have ever seen, 90 mins to get to hotel, usualy do it in 60 mins.
Hotel changed from Country Inn & Suites to a Fairfield Inn, all new rooms, new breakfast area, new reception, Rafael still on desk, still same lifts.
Just been to Walgreens to get some Coke, Pringles & water while Karen unpacked. Now relaxing before bed.
Tomorrow lunch at Sweet Toms with CM friends then into SW to see their halloween displays.
