I just took a quick cursory look at what I've missed (what page is Minnie&Nana's dream vacation?) and I kept logged in hoping I'd have more time today to go back and read everybody's RCs today... but no such luck. Change here. 6 night poly and 6 nights bc. Giving up dxdp and getting tables in wonderland. Booked room only with bb and spring discount. I wish I had booked 2 bb when I was there. This seemed like the logical way to get what resorts I wanted. My oldest will be a dis adult this year so change was coming anyway. I guess I need to update ticker again.

pixarmom - I could never get DH to agree to staying in all those resorts for one trip...never ever. I do not know how I could get him to do even a two way split since he is dead set against it, once there he takes roots at whereever we are staying.
Can not wait to read all about your trip next year!
You will love April, I always did it is warm but not unbarably hot like the summer months.

pas - Sorry to hear your not feeling any better but worse, glad your staying home tonight. Your day tomorrow sounds busy, try to get a little rest. As to what resort you stayed at GF last trip? then the anniversary trip Poly/YC because of losing your GF room, If it were me I would probably want to stay someplace else this trip, but that is just me, I still jokenly talk of staying at all the resorts but Disney keeps on building and I will never get to them all.

Amanda - Terrific choice! A part of me still wants to stay at CR. Glad you were able to re-book your original resort. I hope a discount comes out for when you are going, not like the Spring Offer at only 5%, for me, had it been more of a discount I most likely would not have switched.

Hey the BWI has a Mickey Lamp too........DH pointed it out while looking at room pics on the pc (one of the lil touches he liked)

You're right that even two weeks would make a difference in crowd levels, and probably no difference in the weather. I think I will change to August.

KOOK, Luv and Pas, thank you so much for the information and reviews of YC CL - really helps a ton. Really good to hear the details, including the good and the not-so-good. Pas, yucky guests make things so unpleasant. We ran into a few of those on the cruise, but they are easier to escape on a cruise than in a club lounge! I think we'll stay put with our current reservation for now and get serious about the decision when/if Disney releases an AP rate.

padawans, yay! We have an almost 5-year-old and two preteen "Disney adults," so I'm with you on the dining plan issue. When our oldest became a Disney adult, we abandoned the dining plan. Then we bought our APs and got the TIW card and we absolutely LOVE it! We make at least two ADRs per day, book a ton of signatures, and we can order with all the flexibility we need. It's really perfect because we have the widest range of tastes and preferences that I've ever seen among five people! So happy you're staying where you want and found a way to make the dining discounts work at the same time.

Dani, yes! Of course, you should get APs for the two of you and add a trip! When I asked my husband about getting APs for our youngest and for me, he was fine with it, but reminded me that the last time we had APs, our two trips turned into four. So if you call that a "negative," that's the only down side of APs!

sjs, I've never done a trip report and I don't visit the boards during vacation, but I thought about it for next year. Just don't think I'd have time to post anything with all that running around! Maybe I'll just do a mini report afterwards based on my memory!

No more changes today here - just changing restaurant reservations for our San Francisco to Newport trip next month. But that's way OT . . .

Ok...call me crazy!!! But, being the bug-phobic person I am...I actually appreciate the wheel in the headboard, as it gives better access to the back of the headboard so I can do my bed bug check!!!!! The one thing about the BC is that those headboards look like they provide lots of places to hide...and don't get me started on those "practically to the ceiling" POLY ones...how would I ever get behind that????

Love it - I officially have a different view of the YC headboards - feeling better about my choice already! When the new thread gets started, we can start a list of all the very normal reasons we have rejected certain resorts in the past!

No joke, when my kids were looking at the pics of Poly rooms and Beach Club Rooms, they were loving the Mickey lamp, the lamp at the Poly is some sort of tikiman, which they stated was "creepy" Then I showed them the hallway carpet at BC and they were SOLD!!! They must be my kids, there's no one else I know that decides on a hotel because of carpet and lamps!!!

I can see myself doing that. I can see it now. "Oh look at how cute the bedspread is! Let's stay there!"

The resort room decor is part of my decision making concerning any resort. I will not stay at FQ, which I really like, because not only do I dislike the new color scheme, but it would drive me nuts that they put in queen beds, but kept the DOUBLE headboards!!

I think that's probably what I'm going to do then: Our favorite MK resort and our potentially favorite Epcot resort. And thanks to you, I know they have a Smith Machine over at the BWI gym!

KOOK: I hope I get this in before our new thread starts! I just wanted to give out a shout for AKL CL....it really is heavenly there. The ambience, staff, lounge, animals out your balcony....it is so wonderful! If I wasn't trying BWI CL this trip, I'd be back in a heartbeat! Even the lounge being one floor up from the room, is no big deal...it is a quick hop up on the elevator....the busses are amazing and in both trips we have yet to not have a seat or wait any great length for a bus! The stops where always close to the first ones out front of the park exits......I Don't know why people think it is so far away, I found it never too far to get anywhere....as I've mentioned before, my son and I MISSED it so much when we ventured away and stayed at BC last FEB.....we even thought about trying to get back over there but we only had another 4 nights, so we decided to suck it up and stay put. I can only say great things about AKL CL.....it truly is amazing, and if you've never done the sunrise safari....well that is worth CL alone!

On another note.....can I have a little birdie too? He is so cute, and I have a strong feeling I will be a permanent resident Here for a long time to come :

I am sooo excited! One of the things I did love about WL was our view of Bay Lake, so I can't wait to see it from Contemporary now. I'm so glad I have y'all here - I can obsess over Disney resorts & no one thinks I'm insane.

Thanks! I'm hoping for some sort of a discount - anything would help. But I feel comfortable having booked it at rack rate & knowing if we don't get a discount, we can still do it. We're not planning on doing the DDP this time but if they came out with free dining, I would even take that. Just something to help with the trip cost.

You have the Disneyland 2012 Guide? That is very sweet of you to let me borrow it! I haven't been to DL in almost 5 years so I want to be prepared since I'll have my best friend who has never been and possibly DBF who also hasn't been along with me. I have the 2011 guide from when my original plan was to go to DL for my birthday, but with Cars Land now thrown into the mix, I could use the 2012 guide even though I don't plan on going to Cars Land.

I should buy a kinect so I can buy the Disneyland Resort game so I can go there everyday!
