Just wanted to mention that MNSSHP in WDW is not the exact same as the Halloween Event in DL. I think in DL it's just called Mickey's Halloween Party.

Ooh, thanks for the link. If this year is anything like last year, the dates we are going have an advance ticket purchase that is $10 less than the day of, so tickets would only be $49 per person, except the 2 year old. We may have to plan to do BBB, Ariel's Grotto and the Halloween Party on the same day, so the girls will be princessed up.

I haven't heard anything back on my itinerary, either, and I sent the paperwork in first thing yesterday morning. Typically, how long has it taken from the time you sent your paperwork in until they contacted you with your itinerary?

I sent mine in yesterday afternoon and she sent me an e-mail back a couple of hours later confirming that she'd received it (I asked her to let me know). I know that watkinsme sent hers in on Tuesday and got her itinerary yesterday, so I was just hoping I'd hear something today. I wonder if they'll do them in the order that they receive them or the order of who's going on the trip first? I guess we'll just have to impatiently wait and see.

They picked us first thing in the morning and asked if we would be in the MK all day. We said yes and I think they asked us to meet our rep at 2:00 or so. We met him right next to Splash Mountain where the parade exits and they took as back stage and we got some one on one with characters and the marching band. It was incredible. They had ears made for us and everything. It took all I had in me not to sob the whole way through the parade!

I got a email saying they received all of my paperwork on 2/15 and haven't heard back about an itinerary. Getting nervous!

This waiting is the absolute worst! Patience is not a strong quality of mine and I am a big planner so I just want to know when I'm going!

Yes, I just got an email back from my email yesterday, and she said, "We work on the vacation planning sheets in the order they are received. We will provide flight options for approval as soon as we have your confirmed travel dates. In regards to the Enhancement, you will receive a $500 gift card to use towards the enhancement of your choice."

Now, I just have to wait, wait, wait. And blow my nose.

That's what I asked my contact. Because our first choice travel date was 6/2/12. He was very nice, but he seemed a little nervous or overwhelmed so I didn't feel completely confident when he said that he had us down for that week at the Grand Floridian. He did mention he had other contest winners from different contests that he had to book first. I don't really need the airfare info I would just like to have an email confirming dates of travel so I can notify my boss. Trying to be patient...trying....trying...trying

I think they must've gotten watkinsme's planner about 3 minutes before mine.

I HATE waiting. I am not a good wait-er. I am also a planner, which is probably why I am planning already for an October trip.

Yes. We chose WDW. I honestly thought we would be an easy trip to get out of the way because we're only about an hour away, so all that had to be taken care of was hotel reservations. Buuuuut, looks like I was wrong. Oh well, let the waiting continue!

I'd say it's encouraging. Think of it this way, your 72 hour clock started when they received your planning sheet.

She told me hopefully she would have flight info for me today. I'm not holding my breath (mostly because then I really wouldn't be able to breathe).

Although it's probably a little stressful trying to get this planned for everyone quickly, this actually seems like a really fun job to have at WDW - I wonder what their official title is, and what they do when there aren't 60 vacation winners' trips to plan.

A fed ex car came down my street, I never see them on this street. It usually UPS or USPS. But usually not FedEx. Anyways, they didn't come to my house.

I sent mine in on the 21st, around 2:30pm California time. I keep forgetting that we aren't the only ones who have won.

We are planning Oct 6-11.

I'm funnier when I am sick.
