I'm sorry that CBR Pirate rooms wasn't what you wanted. I understand how that goes. The walk can be quite lengthy, especially if you're tired. I do hope you eventually figured out the "shuttle" system! We took the shuttle every once in awhile back in 2010 when we had a pirate room. It didn't get us to our room any quicker, but it was walking we didn't have to do.

we stayed at CSR back in 2002 and were on the opposite side from the restaurants, etc, wasn't fun with a toddler.... I really like the smaller resorts, we stayed at POFQ in Oct and had the perfect location....very close tothe bus stop and food court...POP we always stayed perferred to be closer to the front also

I should have just kept my POP reservation ! I had NO idea how huge this place was .. live and learn, I guess !

The internal bus did NOTHING for us .. they are very hard to come by. Thanks for reading along !

I just figure you spend so much time walking in the parks and not having the food court near your room .. just really stinks. It would have been NO problem if I had the car the whole time. The shuttle system is a joke, really.
There's always next trip .. right !!

Our first night at CBR went well .. but I was sure missing my Villa at GKTW. ( I would soon find out I am missing MUCH more )

We headed on our loooong journey over to get some breakfast and my much needed cup of tea. I had taken a liking to Twinings tea and planned on getting some in Epcot to bring home (little did I know that my local grocery store caries the same thing .. way cheaper )

I had regular waffles and Jeremy got some egg dish. It was all pretty good.

Now before we left our room we got into our bathing suits knowing we were going to go to the pool before heading out to Epcot. I was looking for the boys other swim shirts since the ones they wore the day before were still damp (nothing seems to dry in these room ) and then thats when I realized .. I had left a whole drawer full of clothes back at GKTW !! I realized that not only did I not have their swim shirts but I also didn't have their new socks and underwear ! Luckily I had washed the dirty ones and so I had those .. but the ones in the packages were still in the drawer. DOH !!
I quickly called GKTW and explained the situation and the lady on the phone says "well IF they are there, we can get them for you" and I was like "not IF .. they ARE there !" I realized later that I was kind of rude .. but I was in a panic. I didn't want to have to buy new ones here in WDW .. they are EXPENSIVE !! I hung up with GKTW irritated with myself for being so dumb .. but I wasn't going to let it ruin my day.

So after breakfast we headed over to the pool. I sipped my tea and took it all in. Ahhhhh .. THIS is the life.

We all spent some time in the hot tub and after a few hours headed back to our room to change and head to Epcot.

The nice this is that we had a bus stop right next to our room and so we didn't have to walk far.

I noticed the internal bus and realized that these were the so called "shuttles". I decided to keep that in mind and try it out at some point.

We soon got on our bus and were off !

In no time at all we were there !

Back in 2005 when the boys were 10 months old I had their picture put on the Leave a Legacy wall .. and every time we are there .. we visit it ..

Flashback to 2008 ..

After we visited the wall (of course I am teary eyed seeing the pic of my babies from their first visit)
We headed over to guest relations so I could get a new GAC card for Jayden. Then over to Spaceship Earth !

After the ride was over I decided to check out the VIP lounge since we were right there.
We entered the door and I punched in the code and we were in ..

It was really neat in there and the boys loved it. They had a soda on tap and so we grabbed some cups and refreshed ourselves. I went to the restroom .. very NICE .. and soon we were ready to head out.

It was almost 4:00pm and as usual, we had skipped lunch, so we decided to go get an early dinner inside The Land pavilion.

You can see AND hear it (sort of) .. it was fun.
I could have sat out there every night and watched it.

Once again, I have missed several updates. What a bummer that your room was so far away from everything. We sort of felt that way at POR, but we really did love the resort and will definitely stay there again...I will probably bite the bullet and pay the extra cash for a preferred location next time, though. You know, for the amount of $$$ they charge for the Pirate Rooms they should at least have them in preferred locations.

Your boys are just so darn cute, and I love how close they are...and how much fun Jeremy seems to have with them!

When I last left off we were grabbing an early dinner/late lunch at Sunshine Seasons. I just LOVE this place ! My favorite is the porkchop with mashed potato. I also got a fresh strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was SO yummy !! (nope .. no pic ).

Since we were right next to Soarin' that was our obvious next stop.

Now last year I suffered with labrynthitis .. and while it IS much better .. I still have residual effects .. like I was never afraid of heights .. and now I get vertigo when I'm up to high .. so this ride, for me, was still great, but I have to be careful NOT to look down, and if anyone rocks the seat .. I sort of get freaked out. My boys like to look over the edge of the seat while its in motion and it seriously made me uncomfortable. Plus we were on the top row !
But I made it through that, and was looking forward to a nice relaxing ride ..
like Living With the Land !
This ride is one of my boys original favorites (at 10 months old) and still excites them. They just really enjoy this ride .. as do I.

Once we were done with that ride we headed on over to a first for Jeremy .. Journey into Imagination with Figment.
Then we played around for awhile. I was trying to see if they had any Figment shirts for the boys since Jeremy and I had some and we wanted to all wear them on our next Epcot day. Well they DID have Figment shirts .. but just for adults ! I thought that was strange .. but oh well.
