The unofficial waiting to make Be Our Guest ADRs thread-8/20 7am

I'm sticking with the Disney Parks Blog information...if they post on there that it will be 2 credits, then I'll believe it. I'm hoping that in the next week or two they'll come out with a more concrete day for ADR's rather than just "late August" popcorn::

I agree. I think someone has confused the announcement about 2 credit lunches at Le Cellier with BOG.

I just went to the online ADR page and it is down for maintenance. I know this is a long shot, but any chance they are loading the BOG data in to the system? Here's to hoping!!!popcorn::

I have a cousin who works dining and he said that in that maintenance the other day they must have added Be Our Guest to their system. He said they can't book anything yet but it is showing up in the list of locations they book. He said it wasn't there in that list before that day. So maybe that is good news... a step forward in the right direction.... Maybe booking is due to start soon? Here's hoping!!! :thumbsup2

hmm.. am I the only one that wishes this meal were a character meal? I mean, I know Gaston, Beast, Mrs. Potts and Chip are probably too big to rotate around tables.. but Belle still could be there.. right? lol. I don't understand the logic behind NOT having characters there.

just my vent :)

I totally agree. I was really looking forward to some new and different characters here. I'm hoping they have some "enchanted" elements to make it different at least.

My worry is that if there were characters it would be ANOTHER overpriced meal... while characters would be fun, it is also nice since we don't have kids to have a magically awesome place to eat that DOESN'T have characters in the park. The plaza and LTT don't have a wow factor... at least to us! :thumbsup2

I wouldn't make the assumption that without characters it won't be overpriced......... Better wait and see the numbers first.

Well...you have Tony's...right? Lol. Totally kidding!

I just keep thinking of those who have DxDP... You're asking them to spend two TS credits for a CS meal? No one who thinks about it will go for lunch, or if they do, they'll be OOP. I'm certainly not spending the same "amount" on CS BoG as I would on CG! This is potential source of major confusion and disgruntled diners. And for 2TS, dinner had better be a character meal or high-end gourmet like CG...

I will have deluxe dining and I completely agree. There's no way I'm spending 2 credits on a CS lunch when I could use those credits on a signature dining for dinner. I have never heard of any CS lunch at Disney being 2 credits and I really don't think it is likely. I am hoping the disney blog is correct and that both lunch and dinner will be 1 credit each.

And it likely isn't 2 credits. The Signature dining issue would certainly complicate that issue. There isn't anything firm on that yet. Just a lot of conjecture. What else are we supposed to do to while away our time until we have something for sure? :teeth:

Belle will be returning to a revamped "Storytime with Belle" at the newly built Maurice's Cottage. Also, in case you were not aware, Belle and Beast can be found together at EPCOT in France. :goodvibes

My understanding is it is way to large for characters to circulate. BUT CP is really big and they do it right? Any ideas how many tables at CP?

The reported capacity for the restaurant is 500 people. :faint:

ETA: There will be three separate dining rooms.

I am so hoping to get in here...but at least I have CS lunch as a backup if we don't get ADR...and hoping others may just settle for the CS lunch vs trying for TS...well, there's always a bit of hoping!

What about Gastons Tavern....have we hear anything about that?

And will all three dining rooms be open lunch and dinner and will we get to choose?

Ha!

So Aug 4 is not the day to start making reservations? We will be arriving on thanksgiving day and I really want to eat at BOG! We do have other reservations, but.......oh my!

Now what

I don't think we even need to speculate. The 2013 DP is released. BOG is listed as a TS for dinner and a QS for lunch. It is NOT listed under character meals. Perhaps one day they will add character dining in 1 of the rooms, but it is not feasible to have character dining in all 3 rooms. That is just too many people. Plus, they will have enough difficulty with the transitions from QS to TS each day.

Also there are plenty of princess meals throughout the parks. What Disney really needs to add is character meals for boys. My son would love a pirate themed character meal. As I was planning our ADRs for our trip, I had a lot of difficulty finding one for our son to enjoy. I ended up settling for Stitch at O'Hana for breakfast.

Again, Disney released the DP for 2013 with BOG classified as 1 credit. I also believe someone got their information mixed up and started the 2 credit rumor. Otherwise, Disney would have listed BOG differently.

Here is the 2013 DP link if anyone is interested:

I agree with momofkids...seems a done deal it is 1TS and 1CS...and a boy meal is very much needed...villains, pirates, Pixar pals...just pick one!
