So I have never lost a session of Disney Trivia or name that Disney Tune(I also never have answerd a question at the events) so since DH and I will be on our own and have to pull our own weight, I have decided to start some daily disney trivia. Here is the first installment.

What is the name of Walt Disney's first cartoon character?

I'm pretty sure we have a few extra lanyards so I'll bring them with us.

Thanks for the reassurances that Oriental Trading stuff will be good enough for the FEs . I can't believe some of you finished the FE gifts, scrapbooking swaps, holiday cards, etc. I am just trying to get through this weekend! DD is turning double digits on the 17th so this weekend is the big party. BTW - if you invite them - they will come! We are up to 25 kids and 26 adults and looking like our bill will run close to $1k . Then her closest friends are coming over for a sleepover right after the party. It's our first time hosting one so we're not sure if we'll get any sleep... We'll set up our trailer to be the playhouse, roast marshmellow and s'mores, and watch Avengers under the stars. Any suggestions on other activities to keep them entertained?

We got the cruise docs too - just wish the luggage tags had a room number on it!!!! We can't wait for the cruise to start!

Well I went thru all my cruise stuff and I can only find one lanyard from past cruises. I need one more for the couple traveling with us. I'll keep looking.....I thought I had several and could help others out, turns out I need help. I''ll try to talk the agent out of an extra one when we check in.

I like the old school lanyards that don't adjust. They are more comfortable without the extra hardware. I'll keep wearing the first one I got even when I make platinum... I would offer my new one, but it is my first Gold lanyard and I want to hang on to it. I am pretty sure Liz has a bunch of spares kicking around that she will bring.

Mortimer? I didn't google or cheat, so that's probably incorrect. I know that's Mickey's original name, but he may not have been the first character.

We got our docs yesterday. I filled out the info online, but need to print them.

I just ordered our FE gifts. I have 100 coming, so can do extras.

I also just got 2 Christmas ortaments for the exchange.


Having a bad time here in IN as well. Just got our car back after the deer hit us, to the tune of 2k. The furnace needed $500 worth of work. We put in a fence this week, and our poor dog Nala is having some issues, vet bill was $500. Seems everything is either 2,000 or $500. UGH!

I did start packing a few weeks ago, but then quit, so need to get back on it. Not much longer now!!

Our table has the older kids - there is also a table of 8 adults that we have requested to be "next" to us. I don't have any info on others with kids that were interested in joining us at the late seating, but if you are out there and want me to try to link our reservations to be near each other, let me know.

No docs for us yet, but our mail is still suffering from "storm stress".

I have all of my online check-in done, and the signature pages are printed and in an envelope waiting for me to put them in my carry-on for our trip! Now if only I could manage to get everything else ready for the trip I'd be in good shape! Right now, I'm holding things together in the office since my officemates all suffered some ill-effects from Superstorm Sandy and the nor'easter this week. I'm coming to the office early, and handling a lot of things that aren't usually part of my responsibility, but since I don't need any time off to meet with insurance people and FEMA, it's the best way I can help out!

My sister says she didn't get her documents yesterday but I am sure they came and are lost in a pile somewhere already in her house. We will be headed home for my neice's (younger sister's kid) 3rd birthday on Saturday. I plan on finding and confiscating her documents and taking them with us!

When I first starting working here, I would tell stories and my boss would go, you have to be exaggerating and then she met my family and got to know me and now she thinks I should write a book (my wedding planning with my in laws alone can be a book). And then after she reviews my writing, she is reminded how horrible of a writer I am and changes her mind to, someone else should write a book about your life!


I'm sure they are WONDERful ornaments and everyone will be trying to steal them!

So today we shredded leaves for two hours, I cleaned my worktable, packed for tomorrow's crop trip to Ct, and sorted and filed all the tourist infor from our recent trip oh and the cruise box, too. I feel successful (and tired).

Having a frustrating time with the Christmas shopping. My nephew really wants the colour changing Cars 2 cars that he has seen on you tube. Unfortunately they don't sell them in Canada. They have a great selection at the UK Toys R Us but they don't ship outside of the UK! The US Toys R Us will only sell the Lightning McQueen in store. Sigh. Now I have to look for something he won't be completely disappointed by.

Of course then I read about people's struggles with the storms and health issues and budget busters and I realize that my problems are minor.

Ok you guys, your bad luck is rubbing off on us! Last night hubby was starting a fire in the fireplace, bent over to put kindling in and pulled a muscle in his back. Then today at lunch I was eating some chicken and broke a tooth! My new crown will be glued in on Dec 3. We fly out on Dec 7, I hope he uses super good glue!

Unfortunately, Boss's minor was in English, she forgets mine was in geology...For an engineer, I get stuck with writing alots of SOPs and workplans. I like to think that I am personally keeping the red pen industry in business.

Since you asked, I guess I will out myself politically, The boss had the last laugh. She didn't rub it in to much this time around. She sent me blue flowers with a note that said, "Cheer up-you got a spot bonus-better spend it before my choice(THE WINNER) has a chance to redistribute it. She had keep the bonus from me for three weeks incase I needed some good news.

In 2008, we were working in the same office (she has since moved to PIT) and I walked into my cube to a life sized cut out of Obama with the caption "Emmy-I am here to take all of your money and your guns, you better cling to your religion while you can. PS, Lets be friends" I almost peed my pants.

For as much as we are alike, we couldn't be more opposite politically but at least we have fun with it and are good sports about it.

What a coincidence, I live in the US And we have a Toys R Us within walking distance. (Coincidence or Destiny?) Is it the little one that changes from yellow to black About $7 - $10? If I can find it, would you like me to pick one up for you and I can just give it to you on the cruise? Let me know.

Hope you guys aren't in to much pain and that all will be fixed prior to the cruise.

10 gold stars=a drink. And yes, I do have a star chart on the wall of my cube! Sounds like the two of you, well actually the majority of this board could use a few. It is like we all need a vaction or something!

So my niece's birthday party is tomorrow and I haven't gotten her anything yet. She will be turning 3, any ideas? The party is mickey mouse club house themed. I have no clue I have only met her a few times ( I am not close with my younger sister) so I am not sure what she likes and I am not sure what is age appropriate? If possible, I would like to stay in the $25-$50 range. HELP
