Hi
We are booked as a family of five heading to dlp in march. Another member of the family has decided to join us. We will have room as we have booked interconnecting rooms but is this allowed. Do we inform the hotel on the day or is it best practise to ring beforehand and let them know. Do we have to pay more for doing this. I know they will have to buy a park ticket but are there other hidden costs.
Thanks in advance

the easiest way to do this is just to add their name to one of the rooms you've already booked when you check in :). There is no problem at all doing this. You may have local tax to pay, but at the most this is 2 euros per night total for the extra guest only.

Depending on how many days park tickets your extra guest will need, an annual pass might work out cheaper than a park hopper ticket.

Thanks for the reply. That's good to know. We are going 3 nights 4 days. Is ce-multiadvatges the best place to purchase the tickets. As we are there the 27th to 30th march some of these days are blackout days and therefore will we need to go for the most expensive annual ticket. Would it be cheaper just to get the regular 4 day park ticket from disney. We will be leaving the 30th but not till evening time.

Dont forget the discounts you get with an annual passport - if you are eating in restaurants ever day and buying gifts then the pass may just about pay for itself!
have a great time

Don't forget too if you buy a AP and are staying on site you can still go in parks on block out days. You just show your easy pass at the gate :)

May be worth adding this point to the very useful information threads on APs and room only booking, as never realised this myself, and could have saved a lot of money over the years buying cheaper APs!

And if you order a Francillien via post you will not have the problem with the 2nd/3rd day blockout after the date written on the AP.

:thumbsup2

ThBa would you mind coming back and letting us know that this was successful for you after your next trip, then we can update the Useful Information thread as mark suggested :thumbsup2 -

Of course I will do that. :goodvibes

Here is the information I already have about my question:

This is what the German Custom Service wrote:

"Bezüglich der Karenztage bestätige ich Ihnen, dass die Jahreskarte Franclien nicht in den 2 Tagen, die auf den Kauf und der Ausstellung der entgültigen Abonnentenkarte folgt, genutzt werden kann. Da zwischen der Ausstellung und durch den Versand diese 2 Tage vergehen, können Ihre Jahrespässe daraufhin, und unter dem Respekt des Kalenders der zugänglichen Tage, nach Erhalt genutzt werden."

Which means the 2nd/3rd day begin after the date written on the AP. So if I order them via post they 2nd/3rd day will be over when the AP arrives me.

:thumbsup2

Thanks for this. Can u explain it to me again.am I right in understanding that as she will be staying in Cheyenne Room only she will still get access on blockout days. Does she need to show both passes. Do u know someone who did this? She won't need the most expensive pass then will she. Sorry for questioning but don't want her to invest in an ap then find out she can't get in.
Thankns

Hi

Meant to ask as well if we buy one annual passport will we get discount of total cost of family meal or just her portion?

it definitely works with a Fantasy AP, as there are no non-contractual days on one of those :). She shows her annual pass and the hotel ID (which you get when you check in at any onsite hotel) at the ticket turnstiles, and she'll get into the parks, including during EMH.

Thorsten is buying a Francillien AP through the post in advance of her trip (this AP is even cheaper than the Fantasy) and has been told that her non-contractual days (days 2 and 3 after the pass is made permanent) are from the date on her annual pass, and she is staying onsite. So she is kindly going to update us if this works too, when she comes back from her trip :).

Its discount off the whole meal, plus off any souvenirs you buy at DLP too.

Hiya
Thanks dlp daft but fantasty pass has a non contractual day on one of the day we are there march 30th that is why I want to be double sure it will work. It would be terrible to spend the money on a pass then find out she can't get in. Did u mean to say dreams. Dreams option is too dear as we may not be back in the next year

no, the Fantasy pass has a blockout day on your trip, not a non-contractual day (its only the Francillen which has 2 non-contractual days). So a Fantasy annual pass will work fine, no problems at all with that one, honestly :).

Thanks dlp daft for coming back to me. Do u know if the francilien will work for our dates. 27 to 30 march. What are the non contractual dates? Just wondering if that will be a cheaper option as the annual pass may not be used again

The non-contractual days are only days 2 and 3 after the date of a permanent Francillien Annual Pass (so for example, you get a Francillien annual pass dated 1st March, so it can be used that day, but then can't be used on 2nd or 3rd of March).

ThBa is trying this out for us, to see if a Francillen annual pass ordered and paid for in full through the post with DLP, and received back in the post from DLP before her trip starts, will work with staying at an onsite hotel (as days 1, 2 and 3 on the Francillien pass will already have passed by the time she uses it at DLP).

So the answer right now is, no-one really knows yet if the Francillien pass will work in the same way that a Fantasy Pass will, when staying onsite.

Thba.

Can u tell me when is your next trip as I may hold off buying the annual passport until you return if the timing is right. Just looking at it though will I have use of emh with francilien or do I need fantasy for this?
Thanks

Hi queenie353 ! :)

We will go from March 25th until 31rd.

I have mailed Disney in Germany and they wrote me back what I mentioned above. I will try this out and post the result here.:thumbsup2

You get EMH with all AP when staying onsite ! You have to show them the easy-pass (which you get at the check-in) and your ticket/AP and the magic begins. :wizard:

Thorsten

P.S.

By the way....I´m male not female.

:lmao:  :rotfl:

Queenie if you are staying at an onsite hotel you have access to EMH, regardless of which type of annual pass or park ticket you have :).
