~ Aug 2013~ Sew what... We've gotta find a way back! Part I!!

Looking over our schedule... I am trying to eliminate a couple of ADRs, as it is, we are over on dining credits...

I have a coveted BoG dinner ADR... I must admit, I just made this ADR because I knew it was hard to get, I've only just looked at the menu now - and I am finding I don't like the looks of anything on the menu...

Has anyone actually eaten here? Is anything good? It really doesn't look that appealing. Everyone says it's worth eating there for the atmosphere alone, but...

Can you tell me if it's worth keeping?

D~

I don't like the looks of the dinner menu either. But I know a bunch of people who have just raved about the lunch and it's QS. You get to pick which room you eat in and they give you a rose as a buzzer and bring your food to your table. It sounds awesome! I think we are going to try to get there early for lunch. Hopefully the hype dies down a little before August....I've heard it is really busy at the normal lunch hours. Maybe a little snack at 11 then try for a late lunch and just a snack for dinner then the Dessert Party :rolleyes1 That's my plan :)

Wait...BOG wasn't Dessert party night was it....I think it was CRT. Nevermind that plan then....but I still would rather have lunch at BOG than dinner.

We loved BOG in December, and I'm going in June with girls and Mark and I are going again in August. I'd keep it.

I gosh this was one of our favorite meals. We had a pork chop yummy. I can't remember what C had but she raved about it and we loved dessert.

reports to date from Boston explosion....2 dead 100+ injuried. Horrific injuries. I am very blessed. Although 2 of my children go to college in Boston, they were not near the explosion site. Many of their classmates were volunteering at the marathon, but thank God, none were injured. DDBF's cousins & uncle usually run, but were unable to this year for various unusual reasons.
My thoughts and prayers are with all who are affected by this horrific act. To all those disboarders who will be making family sacrifice so their loved ones that work for various federal agencies can further investigate this incident. Thank you all.
God Bless us all. All good people in these United States and all the world.

Dee

So glad your immediate family was not involved. My heart goes out to anyone involved or in and around the area. So many people from so many states and countries involved. It just doesn't make any sense, but it no longer shocks me. Man's inhumanity to man. Tragic!:sad2:

RuthIE...leave it to you for the comic relief! Actually I thought the pic was adorable! Love that you feel free to be yourself! Hope today went well for you.

Mike, it's so great that you encourage your DD with her efforts! You will never know what a huge impact it will have on her self esteem later. I speak from the opposite experience.

D~ I hope Allie won't live to regret leaving the crutches at home. She may not admit even if she does. Teens are so sure they have all the answers, but this will be a good learning experience for her. I sincerely hope it went well for her and continues to do so.

Thanks for the cool sneak peak!

You asked how Dan is doing. He has been in a lot of pain and FINALLY yesterday called the doctor and they saw him and turns out he had a dry socket. I tried to get him to call last week, but he wouldn't. He's sorry now he waited so long b/c he feels so much better. No jaw pain at all. He did go to our dr today about his shoulder that has been keeping him up at night as well. He has a sprained muscle and she gave him a rx to fix him up. Stubborn men! Thanks for asking!

Love the MI skirt! I love that you did it together. Neither of my girls are interested in sewing at all, so that will never be something we can do together. Now, my 5 year old granddaughter shows a lot of interest, so I'm hoping...

Remember I mentioned my childhood Lady and the Tramp skirt? You said you would like to see a picture of it. I found one! I have no idea how to post it, but when Dan gets home, I'll see if he can help me. It's in black and white, so don't know how that will translate, but worth a shot. I loved that skirt!!

Glad you're getting so much done in the sewing room. I'm anxious as always to see the finished products. I'll have to wait to see the auction item since I'll be traveling solo to Virginia on Thursday to help my DD pack for their move to Colorado. Now I'm off to do a little sewing myself.

Oh, and I forgot you asked about BOG. We loved our evening meal there!! We so wished we could go back. I had the strip steak and Dan had the salmon. Fabulous! We also loved our lunch there and did manage to go twice for lunch. I had the braised pork both times it was so good and Dan had the Tuna Nicoise Salad the first time (which he loved) and the braised pork the second time after he tasted mine. And their cupcakes are wonderful. I would say go.

I want to comment about so much but please forgive me I am seeing double at this point up far too many hours

BOG- you will not be sorry

Chef Mickey-if that is on the table to scrap you will be sorry ;) I'll get you my pretty....:lmao:

Has anyone heard from Mrs D re the new baby

God bless all in Boston & everyone effected

I will email anyone/everyone else tomorrow ...pls forgive 6:36 pm & I say goodnight

D-sorry it's been so long since I posted. I got behind and wanted to catch up before posting. I'm now 40 pages behind. Sorry.

I was in Boston yesterday.:sad1: let me first say we are all OK. My 65 yo SIL Gail was running. She raised over $10k for Dana Farber in honor of my SIL Ann who had breast cancer 12 years ago. Gail's DH, Ann, I, DH, our 3 kids, Gail's DD (who lives near you), her 9 yo DD and 5 other friends of Gail's were all in town to support her. We had prearranged to meet at Marriott Dana Farber family meet room. I was there with Gail's DH, 3 of Gail's friends and Ann when we found out about the bombings. We were just a few blocks from the site but didn't hear it. The other 2 friends, Gail's DD & DGD, my DH and 3 kids were off "exploring". They had talked about doing Freedom Trail or going to watch the race.:scared1: Cell phone service was down so I couldn't reach DH. I was able to to text Gail's DD and she let me know they were OK. They were a ways away and had planned on taking public transit-that's how they found out about it-transit was closed-so they had to walk. They tried to meet up where were but they weren't allowed in. When they were on there way to find us Gail's DD got message that Gail was diverted to public garden. Gail had completed over 40k when she was diverted. We eventually all made it to the hotel we were staying at. They let us in after showing room keys and being searched but told us we wouldn't be able to leave. It was a harrowing few hours til we were all together but I felt pretty safe there. We got word a bit after 7pm that the lockdown was lifted so we decided to leave and go home. We had to walk a few blocks to the parking garage but then easily got out of town.

We were all so fortunate but the whole thing is just so horrific.:sad2::sad2::sad2:

DH and I ate at BOG in December. It was OK. It is beautiful and it was fun eating there because everyone wants to. :) However, neither of us loved our meals. I felt the seating was odd; too many tables pushed close together. We were rushed even though we had a really early ADR and it did not fill up when we were there. I do plan on going back, but only to check out lunch.

Thanks! I know there are so many awesome customs out there - but my girls just aren't into the frilly, frilly items... Ok - take that back - they like those things, but would never wear them. :confused3

I would LOVE to see anything you make Sandra - I bet it's awesome!

First you mean anything I make Sarah right? I'm Sandra. I know it can be confusing!! :) Sarah's into the frilly so I'll have to do that for her. She's my little princess!!

Can't wait to see your newest auction bag!!

Great job on the airfare!! At least you now know when your going for sure!!

Wow!!! Yesterday was a very eventful day... With that comes TONS of responses....

If your flights are more than $200, couldn't you just pay the remainder in cash? And if your flights were less than $200, you'd still have X dollars sitting on your gift card. Which will be sitting there until your next trip.

For example. We're staying at a Marriott for DD's wedding in Nashville next month. Our hotel bill will be about $310. When Krogers had it 4X fuel points we bought $300 in gift cards. We'll pay $10 OOP. Better than buying another $50 in gift cards, not knowing when we'll stop again at a Marriot

According to the back of the GC, it states that only 4 methods of payment per transaction. So, theoretically - you could pay with 3 GCs and the remainder cash.

Southwest is the only airline I know that sells gift cards in stores. It would be nice though; however Southwest doesn't come within 100 miles of Cincinnati. Besides, we drive anyway.

Well, maybe the rest of them will start selling GCs too - that would be awesome!

:thumbsup2

Haha - I don't have any newish machines All the ones I have are older than 1980 at the least. I've been putting it on the lower part of the fine area, but sometime it seems to get hung up under the needle :confused3 I'll keep experimenting .... I haven't tried it with stabilizer, I'm sure that would make a difference as well. Thanks for your help!

Forgive me, I forgot which machines you have... LOL I can barely keep track of everything... Definitely NEED stabilizer... Once you get stabilizer on there, you'll be amazed!

Love the sneak peak!!!!!

Awesome! How is your trip going?

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha SO FUN!!!!!

I know - Ruthie is a riot!

Praise be that there wasn't worse in Boston, given that the last reports I heard indicated that there were more explosive devices found and disarmed. I can't listen to the news either, not because of the senselessness but rather the redundancy and speculation by the news people. If you don't have anything new to report, just say that and stop BSing. That' why I usually read my news online.

I agree! That is also why we have to shut off the news, there is just way too much speculation.

Yeah for a full day of work in the sewing room. I need to start working hard in there: I've got a couple of promised outfits for friends' 1-2 year olds and I just got the ok to work on a doll for the oldest. I haven't done a doll in a while and I'm very excited. Even if it is just a little rag-style.

That sounds so fun!

RuthIE - demonstrating my point that Ruths just do their own thing! And don't care who thinks what!!

LOL

Nope not touching this... Still not gambling...
Still A. CHICKEN!!!

LOL

Congratulations

Thanks Lillian!

Yea for knowing for sure!!

I know - it's such a relief, I have been lamenting over this for several weeks, and I just couldn't take it anymore.

It's frightening and yet reassuring when you set it in "stone" - or in this case Airplane.

Hurray!!

I know - I am still a wreck!

Just saw this and I would of purchased for that price. I try to find airfare for around $350.

Oh good - many people are telling me that I made a good choice. I just KNOW it's gonna drop to $250 now, and I will be so upset... So I will just force myself not to look. LOL

Love the colors in the sneak peek, but no ideas what it is.

Thanks!

Glad Ali is feeling better & able to put pressure on it.

It comes and goes... Right now she isn't doing the best.

Happy your BF & her DD are working things out.

Me too - it's slow going, but seems to be getting better.

YAY for confirming the Aug trip! Look forward to the update.

Me too!

Boston is still a sad city. We drove my DD into school today, in the city, and were able to have coffee with DS while there. It is a very somber atmosphere. It is amazing the support our fine city is getting. Other cities, and countries are reaching out. Victims of 9/11 reaching out asking how they can help. There truly are heroes all around us. Our hearts are heavy as the names of victims are slowly being released. Thank you to any disboard friends that are praying.

I continue to lift everyone in my prayers. :lovestruc

Ruthie, I haven't checked out your newest comic relief, but will after I take a short break.

She's a comic - that's for sure!

Well....I see you are a little (ahem...) impatient....JUST like me!!! You didn't wait for very many responses before you made it a done deal....and Mo Chicken sure wasn't any help!

LOL... Yah... Once DH called me and told me to book... I did. LOL Didn't want to miss out on permission. LOL

Seriously...I am so excited for you that it's now official!!! I can't wait to read more about your trip plans. Happy Planning!!!

Me too - but I am soooo scared!

Hey D~, I found your trip report.

Yay!

Just wanted to drop in and say hi, and then also let you know that it looks like Southwest just dropped their flight prices from MSP to MCO today... at least they did for October when we are going. They are still over $300 for our time frame, but MUCH cheaper than Delta and Sun Country - those stinkers are above $500++ for October!!! We purchased our airfare for over $400 each on Delta as they started to creap up in March (our booked fare is now over $700 pp) - but I'm offsetting my fare with miles so we got an OK deal for the four of us. I wanted to make sure we were going absolutely, positively, set in stone. Any who, thought you might want to check it out. I don't know why I torture myself to see if other airlines are dropping their fares... passes the time I guess. I am seriously hopefuly Delta's come down by more than $100 over what we paid, so I can rebook DH and the kiddos, but that is a long shot I am guessing.

I know - airfare is crazy! I hate it! It's like gambling... And I don't gamble. LOL I still would have liked ours cheaper - especially since I still have to pay for baggage fees. It would have been much cheaper to go Southwest, because of their free bags, but there is no direct flight from here to there, and I still can't get myself to change planes with the girls. I am sure we'd do just fine, but it's so much easier just to hop on a plane and get there. :thumbsup2

Here's to melting snow and tons of friendly neighborhood robins!

Hopefully soon... It WAS gone... Sigh.

Back from Florida; I have to admit I skimmed most of the week I was gone.

Welcome home Kathy! I was following you on FB... Can't wait to hear all about it.

for the airfare. I think you made the right decision. I've not seen it go down a lot, so I think you got a pretty reasonable fare there.

Thanks - and thanks for the reassurance... I was a hot mess yesterday. :rotfl2:

I am caught up on your ptr after being behind for over three weeks. Bummer about Allie's ankle. I hope she stays off it so it can heal quickly. Yeah for getting your trip booked. Now the excitement really kicks in.

Hi Liz!!! Glad to see you here!

Love all your recent bags. Especially the Marie bag. She is one of Casey's favorites. He black and white bag is especially beautiful. Perfect for home or WDW and the Minnie on the back is great. Love the angled pocket in the pink chevron.

Thanks! I love both of them. LOL

V's MI skirt is awesome. Glad you were able to work together to get it done so quickly.

I am glad it was something we did together... It was a lot of fun!

Cannot wait to see your finished auction bag. You are working like crazy.

I should be posting it later this morning.

I don't like the looks of the dinner menu either. But I know a bunch of people who have just raved about the lunch and it's QS. You get to pick which room you eat in and they give you a rose as a buzzer and bring your food to your table. It sounds awesome! I think we are going to try to get there early for lunch. Wait...BOG wasn't Dessert party night was it....I think it was CRT. Nevermind that plan then....but I still would rather have lunch at BOG than dinner.

My MK days are FILLED with TS ADRs - I don't think our bellies will have room for lunch. LOL

I did go in search of some reviews last night, and they don't seem too bad. I guess our biggest issue is the food that people RAVE about, is pretty meh to us... Hopefully this time we will have a better experience.... We'll go for the theming and not the food. LOL

The dessert party night is our CRT night, and remember, I was able to get an earlier ADR for that dinner, so the Dessert party should be fine. We can discuss it while we are at the MOA though. :thumbsup2

We loved BOG in December, and I'm going in June with girls and Mark and I are going again in August. I'd keep it.

OK - thanks Kathy... IF you change your mind, will you let me know?

I gosh this was one of our favorite meals. We had a pork chop yummy. I can't remember what C had but she raved about it and we loved dessert.

Thanks! That was one of the meals that appealed to me... There's a couple that looked really good and a couple that didn't look that great... I guess we are going to find out...

So glad your immediate family was not involved. My heart goes out to anyone involved or in and around the area. So many people from so many states and countries involved. It just doesn't make any sense, but it no longer shocks me. Man's inhumanity to man. Tragic!

It is so sad and tragic.

RuthIE...leave it to you for the comic relief! Actually I thought the pic was adorable! Love that you feel free to be yourself! Hope today went well for you.

I agree!

Mike, it's so great that you encourage your DD with her efforts! You will never know what a huge impact it will have on her self esteem later. I speak from the opposite experience.

I know... It seems that Mike has such a unique relationship with LG... Something to treasure for sure.

D~ I hope Allie won't live to regret leaving the crutches at home. She may not admit even if she does. Teens are so sure they have all the answers, but this will be a good learning experience for her. I sincerely hope it went well for her and continues to do so.

This is so true... She is having ankle issues again... Gah!

Thanks for the cool sneak peak!

You're welcome!

What a relief! I am so glad he went in - for both things. It is no fun being in pain!

Love the MI skirt! I love that you did it together. Neither of my girls are interested in sewing at all, so that will never be something we can do together. Now, my 5 year old granddaughter shows a lot of interest, so I'm hoping...

Awww... I hope your granddaughter's interest continues!

Remember I mentioned my childhood Lady and the Tramp skirt? You said you would like to see a picture of it. I found one! I think I may try the strip steak... We are a beef family, so I am sure V will do the same. Thanks for the review! :)

I want to comment about so much but please forgive me I am seeing double at this point up far too many hours

Chef Mickey's is still intact... I promise. V asked if we could get rid of it last night, and I told her "no, that's where we are meeting Ruthie"... Then she told me that we have to keep it. LOL

I have not heard anything from Mrs. Drewsky... I am sure she will check in once they come home.

Thanks for checking in, I hope you got some good rest yesterday.

We had lunch and dinner there in February. I had the steak for dinner and it was delicious! For lunch my friend ordered the carved turkey sandwich and I had the croque Monsieur. We split them and shared but I preferred the Croque Monsieur over the turkey. The atmosphere at the evening meal is over the top! You will not sorry if you keep the reservation!

Thanks for the review... I do have my eye on the steak meal. LOL I will have to go look up the Croque Monsieur... Not sure what that is. LOL

D-sorry it's been so long since I posted. I got behind and wanted to catch up before posting. I'm now 40 pages behind. Sorry.

Oh wow... I just don't even know what to say. I am so thankful that all of you are OK. I just can't even imagine how horriffic that must have been for all of you. I wish I could do or say something... Just know that we are all thinking of you and if you need anything please let us know. And thank you for checking in...

When the news was announced, I tried to think of any of my Dis friends that might have been in the area... So, thank you for checking in.

DH and I ate at BOG in December. It was OK. It is beautiful and it was fun eating there because everyone wants to. However, neither of us loved our meals. I felt the seating was odd; too many tables pushed close together. We were rushed even though we had a really early ADR and it did not fill up when we were there. Thanks for the review! I guess, I just want to keep it because it looks like so much fun! Knowing my girls, they will want to eat in the scary room. LOL

First you mean anything I make Sarah right? I'm Sandra. I know it can be confusing!! Sarah's into the frilly so I'll have to do that for her. She's my little princess!!

Can't wait to see your newest auction bag!!

Great job on the airfare!! At least you now know when your going for sure!!

Yes, I did mean anything you make for Sarah... LOL - but I was actually writing anything that you make - as in talking to you, Sandra... If that makes sense? Maybe I should have had a comma in there somethwere? :confused3 :rotfl2: Either way - I'd love to see anything YOU make. :thumbsup2

And thanks!

**********************************************************

Yup - yesterday was a MESS!!!!

It started out just fine - truly. I started off complaining about airfare not dropping on FB... Then many people replied - some of them wanted me to drive... :faint: I replied that, with 2 teen aged dds, we'd be lucky to make it there alive... Then to be stuck in a small hotel room for another 10 days... Then to have to drive back home... Um - yah - no thanks.

So, wouldn't you know it, after all my complaining, the airlines went and dropped fares. Now they couldn't drop them to with in my budgeted amount... but they were close... Much closer than they have been in recent weeks. So, I lamented on FB again... And I texted Josh... It was about 45 minutes later that Josh called me back and told me to book it... With prices lately - I probably wasn't going to get much better. So, I rushed downstairs and booked.

I was able to get the exact flight and airline I wanted again. WHOOT! We are actually on the exact same outbound flight we were for our last trip - and it was perfect, because we got to our resort and checked in just as we were starving for lunch.

I booked an earlier flight home this time. Last time, our flight didn't leave MCO until 7pm, which even though in theory sound nice... It just wasn't nice for us. So, this time, our flight leaves at 1pm... So, basically we can get up and stay in our room until check out - or just a little before. I think it will work out much better for us.

And, incase you are all wondering... I did buy insurance through the airline. I am not sure if this was a smart thing to do or not? I have not done any research on airline insurance, but the only time I could add it was at the time I purchased... And since SO MANY of you recommended it because of hurricaine season - I did buy.

I also paid extra to pick our seats.

I still have to pay for baggage fees though - I did not add that at all... It will be $150 total... 3 checked bags r/t. I can pay for that any time, up to 24 hours before our flight.

And, of course, airfare dropped before Disney released any codes... So, I am locked in to my alternate dates. It's not the worst thing, but I was hoping it would happen the other way. However, I was a SMART girl, and I've been secretly making plans just in case this is how it turns out. :thumbsup2 I had a feeling...

I will update my official "Plans" post at the beginning of my PTR, but here's my new and updated calendar:

Photobucketaugustalternatetripcopy.jpg

As you can see, we arrive one day later and we leave one day earlier. Our water park days are gone... :( Which we are all very sad about. I hope that one day we do get to them - we were all looking forward to it. If I could just talk my girls out of one of our other park days - we still may be able to do it? But our 12 day trip is now 10... Which is NOT a bad thing, I was kind of worried about doing 12 days in the first place... We were so tired after last time. If you are comparing... This trip will be exactly 6 hours shorter than our last one.

I will start updating our Mini Planner pages in a few days... Since I've suspected this change for a while now, I have everything done - uploaded - and ready to go.

**********************************************************

Allison's ankle is not doing so great. I was worried about this, but she refuses to go back on crutches. She has been icing it a lot - but she is not off of it at all, unless we make her ice. The bruising is really starting to appear, and her entire ankle/side of her foot is dark purple. Kids at school and on the track team are giving her grief because she can walk on it, but she can't participate in Track... She is not happy about it and it's causing a lot of stress for her. We are insistant that she does not practice at all for the remainder of the week, for sure... It's very frustrating!

**********************************************************

Yesterday in my sewing room was great! I accomplished all of my goals that I had set for myself.

I finished my auction bag set before breakfast - and even took pictures...

Then I cut out and quilted my custom order bag for the week. It kind of scares me, but I won't tell you why... And I apologize in advance - I cannot show pictures of this bag until the person receives it - because of logostics - that will be sometime in June... :rolleyes1 Sorry about that - but I promised.

I work at Target today... So, no sewing room for me... Sigh. I'll be back at it tomorrow. And since I've decided not to go shopping on Friday, I should have this bag all finished up by then...

I don't have a custom order scheduled next week... I'd originally scheduled the girls' bags for this week, but - gotta pay for this trip. So, this next week will be dedicated to working on my BIG auction items... I hope to make a dent in that project.

Anyways - I hope you all have a wonderful day... I will be back in just a few minutes to post my latest bag set.

D~

Sooo... I found this fabric and it spoke to me... The look of it totally reminded me of ice, and the faint reflections that you get off of it on a sunny day... My first thought went to the scene in Bambi - where Thumper is trying to teach Bambi to play on the ice, and it doesn't work out so well.

Overall, I am very happy with this bag - I think it has the feeling that I was trying to convey?

And I LOVE the interior print!

Quick drive by...

We LOVED Be Our Guest! We ate there on our last night at Disney. It had only been open to the public a week or so... in fact, our son in law's sister had gone the week prior to us and had gotten an ADR for the first official date open... So a lot has changed since then.

For example, they did not count on how long it would take everyone to eat, look and visit with the Beast... so they are now taking fewer ADRs. For lunch, they were originally not allowing you in the main ball room for lunch...that has now changed (from what I have heard) and you can now eat in any of the 3 dining rooms for lunch.

The menu has changed at least twice since they opened...one was a little tiny change, the other a little bit more ... but they are still a work in progress as far as the menu. While the desserts are all listed as cupcakes...do NOT let that fool you...they are delish!

The atmosphere is fantastic...and all the pictures and videos do not begin to do it justice. It MUST be experienced to believe and should be experienced at least once.

With all that being said... if I were on a tight budget ( either OOP or dining credits) I would eat there for lunch and let go the ADR (Can't believe I am saying that!)...

In June, since we are only one day and it is a birthday trip, Miss B got to pick our ADR, and she wanted to save BOG for November...

Good luck deciding...

D- just have a second & out the door suggestion 26th FREE DAY dump the ADR
Chef Mickey ( yeah I hear the fainting as I type) & do water park we'll meet there the girls will have fun, it will be much less frantic than CM

The bag came out BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the MAD thumper!!!
again excellent! BRAVO!!! :yay:

Poor kid. i'm sorry her ankle is not getting better but she need to understand if she aggravates that ankle in ANY WAY she is really going to do damage that will last a long time. a break would have been better.. :crutches: then it would have a cast and she would be off it completely for about 6 weeks. I'm just afraid she is going to have bigger problems later down the road. arthritis setting in, surgeries, etc. Knowing from personal experience. Poor kid right before the weather gets warm and months before the trip. she is going to want to walk around the park!
again.. Poor Alli!!!!

hearts and prayers to Boston. :littleangel:

Ohhhhh, Bambi is cute but Thumper is so funny! That fabric is pretty and I love the lining too. Hope you can get a good start the aucion bags next week. I will be waiting patiently until June for your current custo bag. I can understand the recipient wanting to wait to post the pictures.

I really hope Allie can stay off her ankle. I had a friend in college who wanted to be better to play sports so he ditched the crutches for a cane. He ended up doing more harm and it took his ankle even longer to heal.

lovesdumbo - I am glad that everyone in your group was ok. I can't imagine how scary that scene must have been. My sister has lots of good friends in the Boston area and they said the local news coverage is quite graphic. I hope you are doing well. ((HUGS))

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO they have GOT to try Chef Mickey's at least once!!!

go the 23rd after Ohana!!!!

I am so in love with that Bambi bag! :lovestruc Bambi is one of my favorite Disney movies. I'm just really glad it doesn't have Flower on as he is my second favorite character after Pluto! When I first saw the flower material sneak peak I thought it might have been him. With just Bambi and Thumper I think I can resist. :rotfl2:

Be Our Guest was my favorite meal on my solo trip. So much so that I'm going back again with DH in October! I had the cornish hen and it was delicious. But it was the chocolate cupcake that I'm really going back for. That thing was so good I have dreams about it!! ::yes::

That's too bad that Alli's ankle is still bothering her. I hope it starts feeling better soon.

ETA that I just sent a picture of the Bambi bag to my Mom. She wrote back and asked why Thumper was mad. I didn't even tell her he was supposed to be so she picked up on that right away!

While the menu at BOG didn't impress me, it turned out to be a wonderful experience and one of our most treasured memories. It sounds like your plans are really coming together! Time for a countdown!

Your new bag is beautiful! Nothing better than Bambi and Thumper! Ruth
