FP+ Royally sucks

I literally spent the last 48 hours OBSESSING how I would make it all work out, to have a perfect trip. Instead I log on at 1am, enter my 3 priorities, and have them spit back to me for late night only (Really PPMF is only available late night?) What a dumb system. So infuriated! How about giving me an attraction, a time it's ready, and let me choose?

Literally sitting here crying because I spent months planning every step of our trip around getting FP+ for the times we wanted. I'm sitting here heartbroken. Instead FP decides when and where I must use them.

It used to let you change your times per attraction once you had picked your top three in priority order.

For example, it asked me which three rides I would like, and it would give me some crazy results. It would very often have all three at weird times of day. But it would give me a few options to choose from, too. And even after I picked one of those options, I could still go in and change individual rides to different times.

I haven't looked at it since April, so it may have changed, but I bet there's still a way to do that somewhere. Also, the system seems to be very glitchy around this time each night. Sometimes the site is even down for maintenance around midnight. Maybe try again in the morning?

When you booked them, and then try change the time, are there no other time options? I found plenty when it gave me times I didn't want.

You can book the options now and then go back and change them.

A lot of the times, people find the times they're looking for afterwards by going back to edit.

Good luck!

Yep. I just tried to book some, and it gave me an error message saying "system challenges." That means "we're doing maintenance work." Try again in the morning. I bet you a million Monopoly dollars that you can get some good times when the site is working properly.

It is very frustrating, especially because it feels so personal after you have put so much time into planning. I do hope you get to change your times, keep your chin up and don't give up.

Yes go back to your FP+ selections and pick new times ASAP. You will have to reschedule them one at a time and it is a huge headache but it can be done. Good luck and let us know if it worked out for you.

We had the same problem when we booked our FP+but as soon as we accepted the ridiculous times they had avaliable we just changed them all to fit our schedule:thumbsup2.Believe me my wife was ready to go thru the computer screen and strangle something, atleast it wasnt me this time:banana:

When it comes time to book FP, I will remember that!:)

First time for us using DE and FP, so I am a little nervous too!:confused3

After confirming the pre-selected FP+ times click the "make changes" button and change each attraction's time to suit your needs.

I spent no more than 5 minutes doing FP+ for our 5 days in the parks. Laying in bed watching tv about 6 weeks ahead of time. I made them all for 9am, 10am, 11am - except for Mine train which is around 12:30pm (earliest available).

Some of you make this a lot more difficult than it needs to be. OP, you were literally crying over fast passes? Dude, let me buy you a drink. I promise you it's all going to work out fine.

If they're going to implement a system like this, it needs to be intuitive and easy to use. For ALL levels of comfort with technology.

I agree with the others, accept the times that seem the best and then go in and change them individually. I wish the system was setup where you choose one attraction, picked the time and then moves on to the next instead of having the computer "randomly" picking times for you for all three at once. I believe the options are not what's best for you but what is less booked at the time to maintain a fast FP+ lines. Also, try to remember this is your vacation, it is not the end of the world if your times are not your first choice. Unless they are screwing with your ADR's, it should not be that big of a deal.

It doesn't work that easily for everyone. The system sucks-sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's not "some of us", it's Disney's terrible tech.

I registered the exact same complaint last year about Disney 'suggesting' your times for you and then forcing you to go in and change them to what you actually want. I can not think of a dumber, less efficient way to design a system.

Dear Disney,

We are adults, used to making important life choices each and every day. As such, we are quite capable of choosing our own fast pass times without your 'help'. If our selection is not available, tell us at the approrpiate time, but don't lead us down a path we don't want to go with every single decision we try to make.

It's so nice to see a post acknowledging that people have feelings and not trying to belittle them for it. Smiles, BigMommaMouse :)

Trying to change my times at 7am = nothing. You can't be serious that there are no FP+ available for Space Mountain 60 days from now on a crowd level predicted 3 day before 3pm. This system takes all the magic of the past 3 months of planning and flushes it. Makes me just want to cancel the whole thing.
