You just lost 80 pounds! What are you Going to do next? Ending TR

Camille, I'm a couple of updates behind. 1) I get lost on some of my TR's that don't get updated regularly like others and 2) since Mark's situation, I've been on the DIS a little less than normal.

Your Studios day sounds wonderful thus far (by the way...I love your top that you are wearing...you look great).

Too funny about the TOT photo.

So glad you finally got to do TSM.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Mackie getting proposed to and you putting it in the wedding video! I love it.

Girl, if I didn't have pictures to fall back on, I'd never remember all of the stuff that we did while in Disney so don't feel bad. Heck now that I think about it...what did I do yesterday? :lmao:

Awww, your not-so-little girl is being proposed to! Love it!

:rotfl: I'm glad you understand, it's funny how bad one's memory can be. <----This is what I feel like a lot of the time, I hate forgetting things. Drives me crazy. Although, I will say it doesn't take much to bring it back, so thank goodness for that.
Her first official proposal, well minus the talking.

That is such a cute picture! Adorable! I love it! :goodvibes

I am also a fan of OMD. I try to visit it almost every trip. It's such a wonderful place and its perfect for paying homage to the man who started it all! (and the mouse who started it all, too!)

Exactly! I feel more connected to what has been accomplished when I get to see where and how it all began. :) The picture did turn out pretty good considering she's trying to hide behind her hair, she did that a lot, I have to teach that child how to play to the camera better.

Trying to get caught up everywhere.

YAY for a DHS day!!!

The guy in the front row... :sad2:
Too bad Mackie didn't want to do ToT.

Always a great workout on TSMM and too funny about the Army men and the proposal.

Hey Pat! :) Good to see you here. I hope all is well with you.
Thank you for making it over here to read! :goodvibes

Not to worry, Ms. Kat. I know your plate is a little full these days. I'm just glad you made it over. :goodvibes I hope you are hanging in there. You are sure loved and supported by a lot of people, I'm praying for Mr. Mark to find a job soon. More importantly I'm praying for y'all to hear from God about what y'all are to do, maybe you'll get to move to FL sooner than you think! :)

Thank you about the top, I wasn't sure I looked my best in it. Hard to break old habits.

ToT photo. :sad2:  I think I should have put a ladybug on it.

TSM was a lot of fun! I can't wait to do it again. That is Disney at it's finest, great theming, great interaction, and great fun remembered by all who play.

I'm glad you think the video of Mackie being proposed to is a good one, I think it would be a good laugh for all her wedding guests.

OMGoodness! It's been almost a whole month since my last update. :worried:

This summer is zipping by and I'm not even taking advantage of it like I should. You'd think I'd be on here more but I just haven't been like I should. I apologize.

I'll get the next update on here before the month is out, that's the least I could do!

Thank you for sticking it out with me, I'm almost afraid to ask if I have any more readers.

With the kids home I think it's too big of a distraction for me, I'm not sticking with my workouts like I should either, I gain and lose the same dang 5 lb., gets me no where. :worried:
There are no good excuses, and I'm hoping that y'all will continue to encourage me to get my poop in a group on this. <yes you read that right>
A big kick in the can would do me some good right now.
I'm not gaining, thank goodness, but I'm also not losing either, just when I think I'm getting to where I was before the trip, so I can go in the direction of losing beyond that again I'm right where I started.
I hate that and I also hate being that person who isn't moving forward. :rolleyes2

I guess that's where we all have to come to the end of in order to finally move forward. I've done it before so I know I can do it again.

I hope y'alls summers are going well, Mackie is off to Calif. to spend some time with her grandparents and Ty is working a lot in the evenings, of course John and I are doing our normal. I just happen to be doing it with kids under foot, which always throws me off for a while.
These next couple of weeks will be good for me to get back on track with my exercise, and hopefully stay there this time. Now that I've confessed it to y'all I think it will help keep me more focused, otherwise I'll be embarrassed to come back and tell y'all I'm failing.
That won't be good, nor is it something I like doing, I hate letting people down <and don't tell me I'm not-it will justify my doing badly when I am-please>.
So there are good reasons to allow a bit of people pleasing to linger in me after all. :rotfl:

Be blessed, everyone, you are certainly a blessing to me. ::yes::

I was just wondering how you were going! It's a month today until I leave for the US and I am beyond excited! :hyper:

Don't get down on yourself. We all fall off the bandwagon occasionally. The time to get back on it is NOW. Not tomorrow, not on Monday... right now.

I expect you to be looking trim and fabulous when I see you in San Antonio :thumbsup2

I agree, this summer has gone by so fast. I can't believe that in just a few short weeks my dd will be back for another school year. It seems that once you hit 40 they go by pretty quick, but I have discovered since I turned 50 this past year they now go even faster. :lmao:

And there is no need to apologize. I've noticed many of us who are on here frequently have not been as much this summer. Life sure can come at us fast.

I'll get the next update on here before the month is out, that's the least I could do!

And I will be waiting to read all about it. :thumbsup2

Thank you for sticking it out with me, I'm almost afraid to ask if I have any more readers.

I'm sure you have many followers waiting to read some more. Take your time. :)

With the kids home I think it's too big of a distraction for me, I'm not sticking with my workouts like I should either, I gain and lose the same dang 5 lb., gets me no where. :worried:

It is a challenge to find the time to get our workouts in; I am no exception to this. But do not say it has gotten you no where. While you may not be passing the mile markers quickly right now you are still making progress. You have not gone backwards, you have maintained, and you still have a vision of where you want your goal to take you. You have gained a ton of experience (and that is good because it don't show up on a scale. LOL) that will help you with future trials. I have all the confidence in the world that you will knock down those barriers with some great testimonies of victories in the days ahead. ;)

There are no good excuses, and I'm hoping that y'all will continue to encourage me to get my poop in a group on this. <yes you read that right>

I won't candy coat this one, your right, there are no good excuses. It is so easy to take the easy road... But the good thing here is you are very aware of this and I have no doubt you will "get your poop in a group on this. :lmao:

A big kick in the can would do me some good right now.

Consider it done, here is your big cyber kick in the can. :rotfl:

I'm not gaining, thank goodness, but I'm also not losing either, just when I think I'm getting to where I was before the trip, so I can go in the direction of losing beyond that again I'm right where I started.
I hate that and I also hate being that person who isn't moving forward. :rolleyes2

Same thing as I said before, you are still moving ahead. Our accomplishments are not measured only by the scale and the measuring tape. They are also determined by our experiences and those things we learn from them.

This whole change in our life style changes of exercise and food choices as you know is not a relay race, but rather a marathon. It's not the falling down that keeps us from crossing the finish line, it's the not getting back up that does. I can tell, Camille, from my time on the DIS, is that you are not a person who will stay down and not get back up. Do know this, when we fall down, sure it hurts. We rub the wound a bit, shake it off, run a bit slower, and then before you know it we are running once again at full speed. I have no doubt you will be running full speed ahead.
:car:

I guess that's where we all have to come to the end of in order to finally move forward. I've done it before so I know I can do it again.

That is how you must think. Yes you can do it again. I have all the confidence in the world that you will succeed.

I hope y'alls summers are going well, Mackie is off to Calif. to spend some time with her grandparents and Ty is working a lot in the evenings, of course John and I are doing our normal. I just happen to be doing it with kids under foot, which always throws me off for a while.

I know what you mean. I have also been so challenged the last couple of weeks. Work has been busy, the church I pastor keeps me busy, and now my daughter Alyssa has two a day practices with her marching band. Here in Canton, Ohio the Pro Football Hall of Fame events and parade in the next couple of weeks is a huge thing in this city and takes a lot of effort from the kids marching. They lose a few weeks of vacation that many kids elsewhere enjoy.

These next couple of weeks will be good for me to get back on track with my exercise, and hopefully stay there this time. Now that I've confessed it to y'all I think it will help keep me more focused, otherwise I'll be embarrassed to come back and tell y'all I'm failing.

Camille, there is never a need to feel embarrassed because you have a setback. Let this motivate you but never feel embarrassed. I and many others are not here to rub it in, but instead genuinely care and want to help you succeed. And succeed you will. :)

That won't be good, nor is it something I like doing, I hate letting people down <and don't tell me I'm not-it will justify my doing badly when I am-please>.
So there are good reasons to allow a bit of people pleasing to linger in me after all. :rotfl:

You are letting nobody down. As I just said, many do care about you and this journey you are traveling. Consider myself a traveling partner with you. I have told you before if you need anything or words of encouragement let me know. You have these forums, PM, and you even have me as a friend on FB. Right now I'm going to give you a great big hug that extends all the way from the Buckeye State of Ohio.:hug: (in fact that is two hugs)

Be blessed, everyone, you are certainly a blessing to me. ::yes::

You are a blessing to many as well. And I pray many blessings back to you and all those you love. :wave2:

I'm still here -- reading and commiserating. I reached 85 lbs lost before our April 2013 trip. Since then, I got to 92 lbs off but have been hovering around 90 lbs (+ / - 2). I feel like my body has decided it likes this weight A year ago I felt thin at this weight but now I am feeling fat. That may be a good thing! Discontentment can be a good incentive. :)

Looking forward to your next installment.

:faint: Girl! You must be so excited you can hardly stand yourself!! I know that's how I'd be if I were going to another country. ::yes:: Speaking of, I've been thinking about a trip to Italy, with our Scott going to Italy and Paris, which has me thinking/dreaming even more about a trip. Although.......a trip to Italy is a heck of a lot more expensive than going to Walt Disney World. :scared: :rotfl:
The flight alone during the time of year (May) I've been eyeing is about $1400, American.
Then another $150-$200 a night for a hotel in the different cities we'll be staying in......<sigh> it just seems a little overwhelming. That's okay, that's why I have a couple of years to save up, right? :goodvibes

Can't wait to see you Lana, and I'll do my best to be in tip top shape for you. :thumbsup2

You are a blessing to many as well. And I pray many blessings back to you and all those you love. :wave2:

You totally made my day, Bob. Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. I'm having some issues with my neck, shoulders and arms not wanting to work right and some pain, I'm thinking a trip to the doctor or a chiropractor is in order. Massage therapist isn't cutting it so far. :sad2:

Oh my gosh, Debbie, I know exactly what you mean. Discontentment I think is key to being a motivator, not something to keep us held back, I must remember that. :thumbsup2
Where you wanting to lose much more than what you have?

Glad you are still around. :goodvibes How are you?

WW says I need a total of 120 off to reach the top of their recommnded weght for my height (weight would be 137) . Doc adjusted that to goal weight of 150. So, yeah, no matter how I finagle the numbers, I still need to lose more.

Life has been uneventful for us. An adult son boomeranged home. Hoping he gets a good job soon and can live on his own again. My parents (83) are both dealing with cancer again. Dad just finished six weeks of radiation for skin cancer and mom may be coming up on her last chemo for ovarian cancer in a few weeks, depending on the numbers. They live five hours away and we aren't able to see them often, especially during the summer since they live in a resort area. The winter $28 / night room becomes $280 / night in the summer. Not affordable!

Dd and family come in from KY tonight for a week, staying at other dd's house. Fun week ahead AND I get to talk Disney with the grandkids because the other set of grandparents are taking them to WDW in February. I'm so happy they are getting to go. I knew we could never afford it and I so want my grandkids to get there at least once in their childhood. This takes care of three of them. Only seven more to pray in trips for. :-)

Hi Camille! Don't worry, still here! I'm glad you are getting time to spend with your kiddos - sounds like a busy Summer for sure! Don't beat yourself up - I know that you will get back on track when you can get your routine back. Congrats for not gaining! :yay:

I am still struggling on the 10 lbs I need to lose - I keep gaining 2 and losing 2. I'm starting a Beach Body focus with a friend from home tomorrow - 4 days which I hope to keep extending 5 days at a time. Adding extra workouts and eating clean will be the push I need, I hope.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!!!:woohoo:

Yep, I'm pretty excited! I can't believe after 2 years of planning it's finally less than a month away!

Italy sounds amazing! My SIL went there on her honeymoon (well, part of her epic 8 week honeymoon through Europe). Europe is so expensive though, not just to get to, but accommodation, sight-seeing, food etc, especially with the exchange rate not being in our favour :sad2: FWIW, I would think you should be able to get cheaper flights than that. DH and I will keep an eye out for you :thumbsup2

When I go to the US, unfortunately we have to contend with ridiculously priced airfares (we're lucky to get them for $1500 per person from here), but at least you can get decent cheap accommodation, and food and shopping is really well-priced compared to Australia. Plus, the exchange rate isn't too bad at the moment.

The worst thing for us is having to worry about adding tips and taxes to everything. We don't tip in Australia, and tax is included in the price you see, so there is no maths involved!

Looking forward to meeting you!

:thumbsup2

You still have readers, no worries. :)

Consider this a kick in the can. :duck:

Losing focus is completely normal. At least you are losing the same five pounds you are gaining, which is better than gaining and not losing. Just stick to your diet as much as possible, don't deprive yourself, and start doing workouts. Maybe try something new with the workouts? Something that can add variation so they're on the new side. You can feel free to message me anytime on Facebook if you need a little extra support. I'll be there.

I hear you. I think it's even harder to get the last bit off than the first good hunk of it.

That doesn't sound uneventful to me! :scared: Holy smokes! That's a lot to deal with. I'm so sorry to hear your parents are going through such a tough time. That can't be easy to hear and deal with, especially as far away as they are. I'll pray good news for them.

:goodvibes Glad you are still here. I know I can always count on you, I just wish I were more reliable to get here and focus.

You'll get the weight off, Tammie. Just like you said, maybe this is the push you need. Eating clean helps soooo much when you are exercising. People think it's all about the exercise, but eating is like 80 some % of the battle. Especially for us over 40.

Awww, you are so sweet. I'm hoping my friend and I can try and do it as on the cheap as possible. Not a lot of frills, but we do want to see as much of Italy as we can. :)
The exchange rate from here to there is pretty bad too. For every $5 American dollars I lose $1.48, that bites the big one. :/

I don't think we'll be finding anything cheap while there, but we do plan on going during the off season, it's much cooler weather and hopefully we'll avoid a lot of the tourists. :woohoo: Crossing fingers.

The worst thing for us is having to worry about adding tips and taxes to everything. We don't tip in Australia, and tax is included in the price you see, so there is no maths involved!

:thumbsup2

That is true. I didn't think about the tipping and taxes for you. In your country the restaurants probably pay the people well enough they don't have to be tipped to make a living, here they are paid well under the minimum wage.

You still have readers, no worries. :)

:rotfl: Thank you Danielle, I needed that. :) A new workout is probably in order, but what I'm not sure. In the mean time I just need to keep pushing myself forward and get back with the program. :) I appreciate the support, I really do.

Get a Rick Steves guidebook and use his website for Italy. He has some great ideas for budget travel! I swear by all his books. He has free audio walking tours available that are awesome! Don't be afraid of riding the trains in Italy too. Very easy to get around. I did a 10 day trip in 2007 where I flew into Venice and then took the train to Florence and then finally Rome where I flew out of. I went in March...far less crowded, the weather was better, and I caught Carnivale in Venice which was amazing!
