Disney dangled the visual weinee & Mickeystoontown gobbled it up! 10/26

Okay so forget what I said about posting just a few because I just found some more on Photobucket.

Once Wishes was over, we talked with Bob just a few minutes more and took family pictures:

And, unless Bob has one, we forgot to take a Dis Meet picture again.:sad2:

As we usually do whenever a big event ends, we stuck around for a while instead of going with the masses. We asked some of the castmembers if they minded us sitting there and they said absolutely not. We had a wonderful conversation with a castmember who was from Trinidad. She shared stories of her country and her family. I love when the castmember engage with the guests!

So, I know that you are all waiting for my final thoughts on the dessert party. You’re not? :confused3 You’re gettin’ it anyway! :p

Did we eat and drink around $90 worth of goodies and drinks? :confused3 No way! Did we enjoy not having to stop what we were doing an hour or so ahead of time to find a halfway decent spot to watch the nighttime show? :confused3 100% yes! :thumbsup2 Did we feel that being able to sit down, sip on non-alcoholic drinks and nibble on desserts while watching the castle show and Wishes was worth it? :confused3 Absolutely! :thumbsup2Was it cool to watch Tinkerbell fly close enough to us to investigate the myth that Tinkerbell was a man? :confused3 Sure it was! :upsidedow Would I book the Wishes Dessert Party again? :confused3 More than likely yes!:thumbsup2

** Up next: You can ring my bell! Ring my bell! You are soooo gonna be in trouble!

Lisa,

It was great meeting you and your family! We enjoyed the party too and plan on booking it during our next trip in March!

We didn't take a meetup photo, I just took your family's photo for you and you took ours for us.

Our trip went well, but ended with me getting admitted to the hospital as soon as we got back home on June 2. Will have to tell you about it sometime!

Great trip report! Look forward to seeing how it went after we met.

Sounds and looks like a good time! I'm drooling over the desserts! popcorn::

I'm still hoping a can snag an ADR somehow for it!

The dessert party looks so cool! It will probably end up on our "maybe someday" list.

I don't know if this is still accurate, but I did hear from a CM friend in Entertainment that at least at one time out of the four "fliers", yes there is a male flier.

Had to laugh at the masculine Tink. ;) Too funny!

My aunt lived in Anaheim in the late sixties - early seventies. Her husband was an Anaheim police officer. Anyhow, their next door neighbor was Tinkerbell! She was a small, cute lady who "flew" over Disneyland in the harness. So at least back then(and in California), it was a woman.

A bonus tidbit, my aunt & uncle were able to go to Disneyland free as a guest of their neighbors. Sometimes they just went for dinner!

We have enjoyed the Wishes dessert party before as well. While I love it, my DH actually rathers the FP spot for Wishes which is FREE so we now do that! It's in the same general direction from the castle and Tink still flies right over you but it's closer to the castle and a little bit obstructed by trees. You guys should try it next summer to see if you like it.

What a great night! I have never done the dessert party but it is definitely on my disney bucket list. Maybe I'll see if I can get a reservation for January.

That's what I thought happened but with the way my memory is nowadays, I wasn't sure.

I remember seeing that on Facebook. It took you quite a while to recover.

Great trip report! Look forward to seeing how it went after we met.

Hoping to have more written up tomorrow.

Steph, it's definitely something that I would do again. If you can get an ADR there, then I'd say go for it.

I knew that I wasn't wrong when I heard that Tinkerbell was a man at least some of the time!

Had to laugh at the masculine Tink. ;) Too funny!

Seriously? Wouldn't that be so cool to have Tinkerbell living next to you? And, she could get them into Disneyland for free. Definitely a bonus!

We've seen the fireworks from just about every place in the park that you can view them from. We even sat waaaay back in Fantasyland (when the Pooh play area was in the back) and watched them. That was definitely a different perspective. Before Disney caught on that they could charge people for the sitting area in Tomorrowland Noodle Station, we used to sit there and watch them from there. That was back when the kids were little.

What a great night! I have never done the dessert party but it is definitely on my disney bucket list. Maybe I'll see if I can get a reservation for January.

To us, it was worth it even though Hunter didn't eat a lot. Actually, I didn't eat a whole bunch either but it was still worth the money.

The dessert party looked very nice! Lots of goodies to choose from, and a nice location for viewing the fireworks. Sweet!

Would you say the dessert party is a good idea for a surprise for an anniversary? My boyfriend and I will be there for our 10-year anniversary as a couple and I want to surprise him with something awesome! I am doing all the planning so I can easily slip things by him. We've been going out since we were 16 (well he was just 17 haha)!

your pictures came out great, some of them are really fantastic! :thumbsup2

So glad you had good seats.. how were your 'neighbors' sitting around you?

YAY for Dis meets. but since there are no pictures... it didn't happen... :rolleyes1

Loved the dessert party..

She told me what time she would be cancelling and I had the Disney Dining reservations pulled up and snagged it just as she let it go. Yay Stacy! Yay me! Thank you again Stacy! :flower3:

:thumbsup2 I love it when a plan comes together.

I looked to my left and someone said my name again and it was Bob! Yep, another Diser! :cool1: This was turning out to be a great day for Dis Meets.

Wow, you were racking them up!

I started towards the buffet line and ran into another Diser! It was Farrah!:dance3: Can you believe it? Three Disers in less than a half hours’ time.

:faint:

The castle show began and John and I stayed at the table while Hunter and a lot of the other guests went to stand along the railing. Even with the people standing there, we still had a good view of the castle.

Looks like a great spot to watch the show!

And, I took a bathroom break at the bathroom located in the corner (that doesn’t sound right, sounds like I’m tinkling in the corner.)

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Well, when you gotta go, you gotta go.

Especially when compared to joining the stampede out the gates!

The desserts look wonderful. I may have to do that one day. It would be nice to just sit back & enjoy the show.

Great photos of the fireworks :thumbsup2 I cant wait to do the dessert party. To me it would way worth if we didnt have to scope out a spot an hour early and fight with the crowds. The desserts would be an added bonus !

Great update! And I'm not saying that just because I got mentioned. I'm so glad you enjoyed the party, we did too. We had a great location right by the railing, we didn't have to stand up when Wishes started. I thought it was totally worth it and would do it again. I didn't get any pictures of the buffet either, crowded but not bad crowded and trying to get my little kids settled, it just didn't happen. We thought all the desserts were good except one, it was something coffee flavored. I was wanted to stay and sit and let the crowd move out like y'all did but 2 of my kids had to go to the potty. I looked back and saw y'all standing at the rail hanging out.

So happy John s back at work. I tried to post something a few days ago but my internet was acting crazy. Can't wait to hear more.

So happy that the party worked out for you! I was slightly nervous that something might go wrong and then I will feel to blame. Not sure why I was going to feel that way but I was.

Although....I have to say that I guess you didn't see the small print when I agreed to let you grab the reservation was that I wanted loads of dessert pictures. :lmao:

Glad you had such a great night. It is definitely on our list for next time.

Well, hellllooooo humans!! AAAARRRGGGGG!!!! Ok, I just had to do that. Finally I'm getting around to being caught up with your report as we just got back 6 days ago and I'm still coming down from my vacation high! Just a couple of things I had to mention. First I was sorry to read about John's temporary unemployment. Good thing it only lasted a month and 3 days. You must have been in panic mode! I have the answer to teens being in the bathroom --- THEY BRING THEIR PHONES!!!! Alot of the times I'll ask Victoria if she's almost done in the bathroom and I get "I just have to finish this text" HUH??? I would certainly not hang around a bathroom to text. Now, taking pictures is a whole other issue.....:rolleyes1 I am very happy that Lacey, Jesse and extended family will be joining you this next time. That's exciting to help plan and gather info! Absolutely LOVED the hurling pics! Again, as everyone else, I am soooo very happy that John is back to work!! I'll try to keep up now! :yay:

Dessert looks so good. I still have that on my list to do as well. I have heard from many there is like 3 Tinks and 1 is a man. I don't know if it's true or not. There are some die hards who say yes and some who say no way.
